There are so many good reasons I could spend a whole day sharing them so I will share 3 of my favorites. First off, the staff are very friendly and helpful. With Hyatt you get free valet and concierge service with your stay, no extra charge. You get room service but have to pay extra. I am here right now and it might be a full time thing or just a short event, but if you don't get housekeeping from 5pm - 11pm, you can choose either 10$ off of your room service or get 500 Hyatt points. Next, they have lots of shops that have a big variety of fun souvenirs, snacks, and drinks. Lastly, they have lots of pools, they have a main pool for every age (except for infants), a kiddie pool, and then a pool for ages 16+. It's guaranteed you won't be bored.

Do not stay here right now. Waterslides and pool bar is closed. Just checked in for my kids spring break and the waterslides are an absolute necessity for us. When you book a room they don't tell you this. Unbelievable.

Love this resort. Service was lovely and attentive and all the amenities like resident penguins and parrots and an on site ululani shave ice, made for a meneador and wonderful stay. There is also a resident luau on site if you are interested in that experience which is really convenient and also the location is an easy walk to the whale village shopping center. The beach is gorgeous and it's just such a dreamy spot. Would def recommend for repeat visits. Love it

View is nice and room size is decent. Amenities like the pool aren't heavily used, which is nice. But docking a few points for the dirty comforter o_o. That was a bit unsettling to see. Breakfast buffet is at swan court was about $36 per person. I enjoyed it. Not a huge amount of selection but food was good.

This was our resort view from our room. There is no beach to walk on or lay down because of a storm a few years ago. The prices for rooms and food are crazy. We have been coming to Lahaina for the last few years and are never coming back. This hotel was housing the homeless from the fire and some did not want vacation people there. Well don't worry we will not be back. This was a wasted $10,000 vacation. The working employees were very nice and wanted people to vacation there but there were other protesters who did not want you there. Save your money and go elsewhere!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Maui during our honeymoon May 2023. I was impressed at how beautiful the grounds was, incorporating wildlife all throughout the resort. From eating breakfast right in front of a swan lake, to being greeted by colorful parrots when you step out of your hotel room, this resort had so many reasons for me to smile. We got an oceanfront room and I'd highly recommend this. It was incredibly spacious, and a great size without it being a suite. The room was cleaned and maintained by housekeeping every other day, and we were given leis and a bottle of champagne to celebrate upon check in. The patio in our room had a nice sitting space with incredible sunset views. We didn't have any issues with noise. Breakfast at the swan court was lovely every morning, with a variety of meats, sides, pastries, and more every day. Definitely one of the highlights of my stay. There are a number of pools, both child friendly and adult only spaces. There is a swim up bar under the cave, and while drinks were pricey, it was a great experience. You also have beach access from the resort. Right outside, it is quite rocky so we'd walk further down to a more sandy area to take a dip in the ocean. There is really easy towel service throughout the hotel and an area to rent beach chairs and umbrellas as well. The only thing was that the parking lots were located quite far from the resort entrance area, about a 10 minute walk from our rooms. If you plan to explore the island via car a lot, just keep this in mind.

I am a victim of the Maui (Lahaina) wildfires . The Hyatt is an emergency shelter for the red cross. The security has been unruly kicking out people for no reasons and keeping their stuff. They are taking from people that have already lost everything they own . My husband is hurt and can't even check out or borrow a wheelchair. He tried to use a rolling chair and they told him he needs to put it back and walk on his swollen foot . Please this place is messed up they have no hospitality or Aloha here . Please don't waste your time with this place .

The Hyatt is currently hosting displaced families from the recent devastating Lahaina fire, and they are doing an excellent job providing 3 meals a day and allowing dogs onto the property too. I was checking in on an elderly friend who was placed there after being discharged from hospital and it was a difficult process as I can't access the hotel's strict security. Diana Skoch from Red Cross stepped in to help and thankfully offered to make wellness visits to make sure our friend is taking his meds, eating, etc. Many thanks to Diana, the Red Cross and FEMA, and all the hotel workers at the Hyatt from security to cooks and everyone in between for helping the displaced people of Lahaina during this heartbreaking time.

The fires are burning, Lahaina is destroyed, people are trying to get away from that area and what does Hyatt do, they use their helicopter to do a sight seeing tour of the fires. Yeah, Hyatt, we can see what you guys are doing. Help the community, don't turn a natural disaster into a tourist attraction. Two shakas down...............

As seasoned Hyatt travelers and loyal Globalists, our recent stay at Hyatt Regency Maui from August 2 to August 7, 2023, left us feeling quite disappointed. We were thrilled to celebrate my Mom's 60th birthday and had a family dinner reservation at Japengo on August 3, 2023.Our waiter initially tried to be helpful by arranging tables for our party of 16, but there were some delays in seating us together. We understood and patiently waited for 15 minutes to join the tables. However, things took an unfortunate turn when the manager, Hoala, got involved.Hoala informed us that another family was already waiting for the table we were promised and rather rudely insisted we couldn't sit there. Despite our waiter explaining that we had been waiting for 45 minutes and the hostess knew about it, Hoala's behavior was quite hostile and lacking in customer service. We were truly taken aback and left feeling frustrated. To add insult to injury, when we expressed our dissatisfaction, Hoala seemed dismissive and suggested we could leave if we wanted, but not without settling the bill first. This whole experience fell far short of what we expected from Japengo and the Hyatt resort. As valued Hyatt customers and frequent visitors, we hope that our feedback will be taken seriously, leading to an improvement in the level of customer service provided. We cherish our experiences with Hyatt, but this particular incident has left us feeling let down.

The beds were comfy and lots of amenities. The pools and the animals were awesome!! It did feel pretty crowded at times. But other than that, it was great!

This is such an awesome place to stay. The hotel was beautiful, and there is something for everyone here. The pools here are great whether you have young kids or are just looking to relax, and the same goes for the beach activities too. In particular, the snorkeling here (which you can rent) was probably my favorite part--you literally can see so many giant sea turtles and fish just swimming around near you! The hotel is also at the end of the beach walking path that can take you to Whaler's Village. I would also like to give a shoutout to the Astrophotography workshop (bring your own camera). Although it sounded pricy at first glance, it was so cool to learn the skills to take incredible astrophotography shots with my own camera! Plus, telescopes are setup too for just stargazing. The hotel staff were very kind too and the rooms were clean. Given how busy this resort is, I will say plan extra time if you need to go to the front desk because the wait can be a bit unpredictable.Note the Whaler's Village Shuttle doesn't stop directly at the resort, but it is a short walk away (though the walk can be very hot so keep that in mind).

Since this was my first time in Hawaii, I wanted to stay at a really nice resort with great amenities. The Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali was the perfect choice! It exceeded our expectations in every way and we are already talking about another stay there.I highly recommend this resort and especially the package through Costco as it included a rental car, $250 dining/drink credit, free daily breakfast buffet, and daily resort fee!

While docked on the island of Maui (in May 23) we decided to buy a day pass for this place. The day bed was 339 plus you have to spend 200 on food and drinks. The food was hands down delicious so full of flavor I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great and nice folks. I'm ready to stay at the Hyatt next time! The pool was so big it had two sides including area for kids. They also sale floats which we neededTotally recommend this place on food, service and pools. I have not seen the rooms.

Beautiful.Birds are so sweet to interact with. Restaurants are tasty (but order breakfast rather than the buffet at swan court.) big difference. All employees were kind, it was clean, you feel safe, spectacular views, delicious bar drinks...I miss it already! Luau was alright, the performers were incredible. I just remember one I went to at the Marriott TWENTY years ago that had better food and beverage.....but the ahi poke here was AMAZING.
