I'm honestly not at all surprised to see such a low rating after the awful conversation (if you can even call it that - I've had better communication with an auctioneer) I just had with Lori on the phone. If there's anything that can make doing your taxes less enjoyable than it already is, it's an accountant ranting at you and then telling you that the call has taken too much of her time after you spent most of the 11 minutes taking deep breaths in silence and waiting to get a word in edgewise. I'm grateful that I had this experience before actually hiring her and found these reviews thereafter, solidifying my decision to go elsewhere - literally anywhere else.

THE TAX LADY FROM HELL - Lori Feroldi of L&F Tax & Bookkeeping Services was an inexplainable disappointment to work with. I will leave a longer explanation below, but the short explanation is this: - SHORT STORY: Lori Feroldi made a mistake on our taxes that can put us in big trouble with the IRS. We called multiple times to no avail, so we showed up at her business. Instead of helping us solve a simple fix, she gave us attitude, and when we calmly approached her in person, she shrieked for the police, completely ignored us, locked the door on us, and denied us service. FOR HER MISTAKE. This is after she collected our $800 and had us sign for her services. She even told the cops, who relayed to us, that she BLOCKED OUR NUMBER. Talk about a** backwards and terrible business. - L&F Tax & Bookkeeping Services You could have easily helped us and fixed YOUR f*** up. But instead, you wanted to act stupid and play a stupid game. So, heres your stupid prize. I do not ever make posts like this. My family and I are very easy going people. But this lady is just too much. Shes looney. Please share this post so that others do not have to go through what we went through. Needless to say, we wont be doing business with this klutz ever again.

Thank you L&F for your professional help! I highly recommend going here. Lori took the time to know my situation and helped me plan for my future tax returns. I wouldn't have been able to navigate those situations elsewhere.

Im with Bella on this. Lori is bizarrely unprofessional and extremely abrasive at times. It seems to depend on the day with her. . . After a few meetings (definitely a waste of time and money) I realized that she was unable to offer any kind of consistent/professional service or strong tax advice (in fact she really took me in the wrong direction on a couple of key matters). She might be a step above H&R Block (havent actually tried them) but if your taxes are simple you are probably better off with them. I assume they will at least be on time for your meetings. She is probably fine as a bookeeper but I promise you will encounter some serious weirdness no matter what your dealings with Lori. If you have complicated business returns, I highly recommend Harold Berman (if you can get him). He is a true tax professional and you will get what you pay for. . .

AWFUL. This woman held onto mine and others papers for months. She said her only opening (mind you this is just to get my papers BACK, MINE. NO SERVICE) her only opening was a Sunday.

Lori is professional & did an ok job on my taxes. Didn't overcharged me & is honest & competent, which I appreciated. She has good intentions and makes recommendations for the coming year in a way meant to be helpful (though it comes off as abrasive.) I have complex business taxes and in the past have had accountants who frankly knew more & were relaxed & more confident. She is a bit high strung and when I arrived she made me feel unwelcome & tense. For me to pay an account I want them to see deductions I overlooked because I didn't know they existed. She is very matter of fact and didn't pick up on anything I didn't already know.

Lori does an excellent job. She's always looking out for YOU! She works quickly and doesn't pad her bills. She always over-performs and I am truly fortunate to work with her for my bookkeeping and tax needs!

Lori formed our nonprofit for us and and got our tax-exemptions and 501(c)3 exemptions. She does pro bono work for our little nonprofit too, keeping our books and filing our 990 tax returns. She is efficient and responsive and takes care of everything on time, reminding us when we need to file or do something so we don't miss deadlines. We are so fortunate to have her!
