“I bought a set of new tires here after shopping around at several shops in Hilo. I decided to take my business here for a few reasons.

Out of the three shops I visited in person, R&G seemed the most professional and unpretentious, which gave me confidence in them.

Their 4.8 stars with over 100 reviews also gave me confidence.

Although their selection of tires in my size was fairly limited, one of these (General AltiMax RT45) had pretty good reviews online. And since it's generally expensive and time-consuming to have tires shipped to the island, it was important to me to pick something from what the tire stores had in stock.

When I finally decided to go and get my tires from them, I came in with a long list of questions. Keanu was patient and professional and answered all my questions. He even let me inspect the tires I chose before putting them on because I asked to verify the DOT manufacture date (they were manufactured only four months ago!).

Their prices were reasonable. Not the cheapest in town, but also not the most expensive. For the quality of service, it was worth it to me. I also opted for their tire protection plan. It seems worth it for the tire rotations alone.

They don't do appointments for new tires (only for their mechanic), so I did a walk-in around 1pm on a Tuesday, and the whole thing took about an hour.

“I have been a long time customer of Lex Brodies on Kilauea and have received consistent, quality service over the years.
