My driver seat got all the way stuck forward and the seat lever was not working. I could barely get in it but was pushed up on the steering wheel. Due to the fires, no one was able to see me for weeks. I kept looking and then I called Shelton’s Auto Masters. He said he could squeeze me in that day. I went and he was able to fix it within an hour and a half. Shelton was very knowledgeable, affordable, and helpful. Definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I just picked our car up from Brian at Shelton's yesterday evening. We have a 2016 Toyota Rav4 that was involved it a pretty major bang up when an oncoming vehicle threw a poorly strapped car battery off of the flatbed it was towing. Pretty scary and one heck of an impact. The battery smashed into us and exploded, wrecking our front end and tearing up a lot of components under the hood.Good luck brought us to Shelton's rather than another shop -thank God.Brian is a detective as well as a master technician. The body and battery acid damage was extensive, but our a.c. died as well. However there was no clear cause as to why. Brian promised to determine if the a.c. fail was actually connected to the impact or just an unfortunate coincidence. Finally, Brian was able to do this after his eagle eyes spotted a perforation in the hard line that was caused by the impact of a sharp metal part being pushed into the line. He not only did the replacement of the line, but he ground down the point of the offending part to prevent anything like that happening again. Beyond this, he simply treated the car like it was his own. The paint work was meticulous and perfect. The body work looks factory fresh. The electrical work was thorough. We could not be more pleased. The fact that Brian also happens to be an affable and kind soul only added to the experience. If you need a competent and honest guy to take care of your vehicle, you are very fortunate to have stumbled upon this guy and his team. Seriously, look no further. You have found what you are looking for.Services: Body & Trim

Full 5 stars. I have trusted all my vehicles here, particularly with storage. The reliability, communication, and accountability has been far beyond expectations. Brian knows his stuff, Patty is on top of the organization, the rest of the team is a pleasure.

purchased a car from him. Never gave me a title for the vehicle after telling me he would get it for me. then after trying to get ahold of him for months and going back and forth about getting the title he promised he eventually began avoiding me. might be a good mechanic but I would advise to stay away if this is how things operate

Brian Shelton is indeed a master. My Toyota was in a minor accident and I wanted to pay cash for repairs rather than file an insurance claim. Brian took a look at the car, told me what needed to be done, quoted a fair price and he delivered. I was particularly happy with the way that he matched the paint to the car. It is not easy running a service business today. I respect owners like Brian who just do what it takes to get the job done right. Sheltons is definitely 5 Star in my book.Services: Painting

I purchased a car from shelton for well above market value in fall of 2021 trusting him that it was in excellent condition. When I picked it up, it had a flat tire and hadn't been washed, the gas tank was empty, and the windshield wiper fluid was empty. I should have taken my money back right then, but brian wasn't around and I had to get to work so I just called and complained. I also ended up having to pay back taxes because it wasn't registered. All things that I recognize are my fault because I paid him upfront, trusting him.. the tire continued to leak, though he wouldn't fix this, he agreed to fix the hose that attached the air filter to the carburetor (that had just been ducktaped before), months later after he got around to it, he put it on backwards (see picture below) and it broke again (I bought the part and replaced it myself the following week.) I took the car to the dealer to check out before selling it because I didn't want to cause the same problems for someone else. there I found that the nut that holds the tie rod end from the rack and pinion was never tightened on the driverside, the cotter pin was just put in without tightening the nut. I recently talked to the person I sold the car to and they indicated that they had to have it fixed and their mechanic said that it was previously repaired negligently. The list goes on. again, its my fault for trusting him, and I can thank him for that lesson learned. I highly recommend everyone save their time, money, and energy and just move on to someone with integrity.

I parked my rental Jeep Wrangler in a local grocery store parking lot and someone must’ve backed into it & a big dent without even leaving a note.I called another auto collision shop in Lahaina and they told me it would take 12 weeks to even see the vehicle.I spoke with Brian and he said to take it the next day look at it right away and had a repaired in less than an hour for just $200 cash. It probably would’ve cost me $800 bucks to have that bumper repaired (or more to have it replaced) through Budget.Plus it would have been a hassle to have to deal with returning a damaged to Budget at the airport return. His repair shop is just a little out of town but well worth the drive down from Napili. They took it in right away, did a great job in not even an hour, and made it look better than new.Brian & his guys are super nice, professional, and pretty funny as well.Refreshing to have such excellent customer service on such a laid-back Island like Maui where everyone else is truly on island time.Cheers!DocMikeChiro
