Upon arriving to pick up a prepaid rental car, Ace staff tried to collect $29 per day for what they claimed was required insurance coverage since I did not have my proof of insurance through USAA with me ( it was in my car on the mainland). Upon reviewing the prepaid voucher, I discovered a list of documents I was to bring...but proof of insurance was NOT one of them. When I objected to being extorted, the staff initially said they would refuse to give me a car because I objected to this extra charge (which was 40% of the prepaid rental amount). Eventually, they gave me a beat up sedan with 55,000 miles on it and covered with scratches and dents. Not sure how they get away with this scam, but I won't ever use Ace again.

Jelsey at the front desk is a true gem!! We used the car rental service and everything was a simple and smooth process. At the airport a shuttle will take you to a car rental place. A nice woman driver loaded our suitcases into the shuttle (she's a badass shout out to her!!!!) and then it's a short ride to the car rental place. We got a jeep that was in good condition and truly enhanced our trip. We had fun with the roof down and learned how to quickly set up the hard roof. I do recommend this company and will use it next time we come! Everyone is friendly and helpful- service was truly great! Thanks guys!

I appreciate Noilani (sorry if I spelled it wrong). When I went to turn in my car, I was in the verge of missing my flight. He drove me to the airport in my rental car because the bus was taking too long. The customer service he provided by going above and beyond for me was amazing. He is the reason I will always bring my business back. If the owner ever reads this, please give him a raise.Car was clean and the whole process was smooth. I rented my car the same day and I had no issues.

Extremely terrible service and when o asked to speak to any manager they said there’s no one on sight and would have to wait 4 hrs for someone to call me to resolve my problem! I wanted to extend my car rental and they were trying to charge me double what I paid for when Expedia and Priceline all had a much cheaper price but they would not honor it! Instead they wanted me to go all the way back to the airport and take another car! Terrible terrible service never booking with ace even if I go pay more somewhere else!

This location is just off of the airport so you need a shuttle. The drivers were super helpful. No waiting at the office. The requested vehicle was on time and on price. The entire staff was great. We would recommend without hesitation.

Make sure you got about it hour and 20 minutes Set aside to get your vehicle. I suppose I always complain about how long it takes to get a rental car but it's usually about 40 minutes. I just can't wrap my mind around how at this day and age you cannot have all the paperwork filled out digitally. Show up with your ID and get the keys within about 10 minutes. The cars were ready to go. It was just all of the paperwork that was taking forever!

very terrible people. upon walking in the service was close to disgust. I was charged 500$ twice for a car that already had damages. not to mention a 250 fee for gas picked it up and droppped off the same day due to poor treatment previously by another customer. the worse part was that the lady handed or server a set of keys that was from her pocket. meaning that was the workers beat up lemon...

Anne and val we're amazing!! I loved their help and will absolutely be using them in the future. The driver from the airport to the rental car shop was FANTASTIC!! She informed us to bring all of our friends and family and visit Maui after their Devastation. They made it simple and easy and we even decided to upgrade our car to something a little more island fun!

Just dropped off our car after our rental with Ace for our Maui vacation. Despite low cost, everything was great, and pickup and dropoff were smooth. All staff including shuttle drivers from airport were super friendly despite being short-staffed

I always use Hotwire to book a car and typically end up with Avis or one of the big names. This time I got some "special offer" and ended up with Ace Rent a Car which I'd never heard of before. I always book the smallest class of vehicle, which is all I need. But the price was really cheap so I went for it.Unfortunately my inbound flight was significantly delayed and Ace's office would be closed upon arrival. I called them but they didn't offer any off-hour pickup options and told me I'd need to return the next day to get the car. They also said they'd be able to adjust the reservation since I was getting it a day late. I went the following morning and was greeted by a very personable agent and got a Honda Passport, which is a lot more than I bargained for. It's huge. Anyway, she said to contact Hotwire for an adjustment (which I did but they wouldn't budge).All in all I was pleased with my experience with Ace but need to point out 2 important details:1. Their hours are super limited - 8 to 5:30 daily2. They're not located at the airport but across from the Costco a couple miles away. They provide a shuttle but it's important to factor this in if you tend to run a tight travel schedule.

We had no issue renting from Ace. Pick up from airport was easy. And they're good about allowing you to use your own vehicle insurance if you have that. Would rent a car here again!

Overall we had a good experience with our rental. The airport shuttle was easy to find and efficient. The check out process was a bit slow, though. We thought it was absolutely ridiculous that family members, including husband and wife pairs with different last names, had to pay to be a second driver; we ended up just having one person drive for the time of our rental. We did find a pair of socks left over from the previous renters of our vehicle, but otherwise the car was clean and in good shape. Personally I wasn't a fan of the Jeep Compass, but that's not the rental car company's fault.

Back again. Jelsey! Was so much fun! 9/1/23Eric was awesome. Front staff was helpful. Shuttle drivers were great! Do not expect for the rental car you paid for. Paid premium but didn’t the premium car. Front kept calling for premium car via radio but the other lady at the front made a side comment, WHATEVER CAR IS AVAILABLE! I didn’t want to converse and decided to pick my battles. It’s almost the end of their day, they looked exhausted. Huge office. Shuttle was there when we arrived both to and from airport. It seemed like they got their system down to a science. We arrived to and from the airport and the shuttle was there waiting for us! Easy to follow directions to the shuttle via text message. Impeccably clean shuttle. Shuttle drivers to and from the airport are pleasant. Mahalo!
