I absolutely love the customer service, friendly atmosphere and selections. My family and I are pretty picky and bougie. Lol. Salieane was very patient. She laughed with us and she was a riot. We were therefore at least 2 hours picking nameplate styles and necklace lengths. Not to mention how silly we acted about engravings.... Thank you for being excellent. Mahalo Kuloneli Ohana

Local Review: I just wanted to send a shout out to all the staff at Na Hoku! Thank you so very much for taking the time (weeks) to help me build that perfect bracelet! She loves it and wears it daily! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and I love that I don't have to worry about shipping because they shipped it for me. Now of course they ship free BUT you have to spend over $200.00.

My wife and I bought a his and hers wedding band set, silver plated with Koa inlay. We purchased them on Maui and within two weeks (of vacation) they both started to scratch and chip. We were on Oahu when we decided that it was not acceptable so we went to the Na Hoku on Lewers. Was told that they would polish them but that's all they could do. What?, am I supposed to get them polished every two weeks because the quality sucks. Within a month or two there would be no silver left to polish. Staff was VERY uncooperative despite the 21 day return policy (this after only two weeks). Only offered polishing or if I wanted to return, I'd have to go to the store of purchase. Went over the the Na Hoku store on Kalakaua Avenue and they gave me a refund on the spot.Beware of the Lewers Street store. The Na Hoku, is this living aloha?

We were strolling on a lovely evening and the beautiful pieces in the window caught my attention. We walked in to browse and Krystal was immediately very attentive and extremely knowledgeable. She explained the significance of each piece, symbolism, composition, craftsmanship, pricing, etc. I also learned about the exclusive LeVian Aloha line. She helped us identify options within budget. She was also just friendly to chat with about our and her travels, and Hawaiian culture. Thank you!

1.0 star rating 12/21/2016 Review of Na Hoku Headquarters in Honolulu regarding lifetime warranty: I used to be a loyal customer... I have several earrings, a necklace and a ring from the Kabana Na Hoku collection. However, now I don't believe in their lifetime warranty or good service any more. When my ring got misshapened a few years ago, Na Hoku fixed my ring for free. That's why I kept buying more of their jewelry. I don't wear the ring often, but when I did wear it for one day this year, the ring got mishapened again even though I was extra careful after last time's repair. The ring's band is VERY FLIMSY and POORLY DESIGNED. I brought the ring to Na Hoku King of Prussia (KOP) for repair. They then sent it to Na Hoku headquarters in Honolulu who then refused to honor the lifetime warranty. Na Hoku at KOP told me that their headquarters in Honolulu can't even find my original receipt or the receipt for when it was fixed last time for free at their headquarters in Honolulu! That's a poor excuse! I have the original jewelry certificate card but not the receipt because it was a gift. I told Na Hoku at KOP that, for the previous free repair for the same ring a few years ago, I had brought the ring to the Natick, MA store branch. There, their personnel sent it to headquarters in Honolulu and got it fixed for free. Neither the KOP store nor headquarters in Honolulu even bothered or cared to call the Natick MA store to confirm the previous free repair because they couldn't find the receipt. Again, poor service, especially for the prices that my husband has paid over the years for several jewelry pieces and being a repeat customer. Na Hoku headquarters wants $190 to reshapen my ring item # 768667. For a $760 ring with 0.05 carat of diamond and rose gold and VERY POORLY DESIGNED FLIMSY band, it's a rip off! I thought I was paying extra for service and lifetime warranty. The 2 managers with whom I spoke at the KOP store (1 recently left the store) seemed nice but kept saying they were only conveying upper management's decision (I've heard headquarters use that excuse before). So, this is how Na Hoku's latest upper management in Honolulu treats their loyal customers?! Be careful! The higher price paid for Na Hoku jewelry does not reflect good service or lifetime warranty from Na Hoku! I wish I were still in the time limit to return the ring.

We visited Maui in May 2016 and I thought I'd buy my wife a pretty ring to celebrate our love. We visited the Na Hoku Jewelers. "Hawaii's Finest Jewelers Since 1924" LOL We selected a beautiful Aquamarine gem with chocolate and white diamonds on the band. The gem stone was a dark blue with a beautiful cut. They told us they had to have the ring sized, and it would be delivered to us directly from their main store. This took 2 months. We received the ring and found that it was almost clear, not dark blue? We told the store this and they said to send it back and they would put the gem from the store in the ring. A month later we received it back. The gem was then a "sky blue", still not the gem we purchased. They told us at this point that aquamarine came in many shades (They didn't tell us that at purchase time, nor did they tell us the gem we bought wasn't going to be the one we'd get? At this point we decided we would just keep it as it had been a few months since the purchase date and we were just fed up with trying to get the gem we purchased, it had probably been sold to someone else by then! In less than 1 week the gem turned cloudy. We again contacted the store, they said to return it again which we did. About a week later it was returned looking as it did the last time we received it. They also put a bottle of Jewelry cleaner in the package, which they told us would keep it shiny and bright. A few days later, the gem again became cloudy. We used the product given to us over night and it did nothing to change the cloudiness. The stores return policy says "I understand that this is a custom order and that there will be no refunds, credits, or exchanges provided that this item is made and completed as described on this contract" This is the important part "provided that this item is made and completed as described on this contract" Well, I believe that this should be voided as the item wasn't even the gem we purchased. When it came down to it, this jeweler was completely unwilling to make this right. I would without a doubt tell anyone that was even thinking about visiting this store...DON'T GO THERE! THEY ARE RIP OFFS! If I lived on Maui, I would stand in front of the store and warn people not to buy from them. That's how they get away with this type of scam, tourists! The 1 star is only because it wont post without giving them at least 1 star. I hope a tidal wave comes and drowns Barry and Dusty, let's see what color they turn?

Our favorite jewelry store anywhere. We have visited Maui as well, so this is a generalization of our experience with Na Hoku. We have purchased many pieces from Na Hoku, and the quality and uniqueness are unsurpassed. We especially liked the oriental gaming piece pendants among many others. The staff are friendly, never too pushy or too distant. That quality in the staff is especially the key to me giving them my business.

Other reviews are upset with the business' policies, and others their prices. Personally I feel that if you don't like a business' policies you shouldn't purchase from them. Doing ones due diligence you would know that they do not offer discounts or retroactive refunds on price differences and that they charge fees for servicing jewelry. That is no reason to fault them, it was already their policy before you engaged in business with them. As for their prices, if you want a discount go to JC Penney's. If you want quality jewelry that reflects the aloha spirit of O'ahu, come here to Na Hoku. My wife and I are enamored with the jewelry here and love that they have been around since 1924. They were not busy when we arrived and Kay was able to show us anything we liked. There was never a moment where we felt pushed to purchase anything which is quite a relief in jewelry shops or in tourist havens such as Waikiki. Two years ago I purchased my wife white gold plumeria earrings from a different jeweler and we had looked at Na Hoku's line on the web but wanted to see it in person to see if a plumeria pendant would match the earrings. It did, perfectly. They were not the same, but went great together. We chose a 15mm (5/8") plumeria in white gold with a diamond in the center. It is a wonderful addition to her earrings yet does not steal the show (which is why we didn't go larger). We were not big spenders and yet were treated with respect which is nothing less than what we would expect of a professional and friendly business such as Na Hoku. Mahalo and Aloha!

Excellent, friendly sales person, who did not try to push me. Helped me find what I wanted at the right price. Gave excellent tips on the care of my jewelry. Very good experience.

Not the best experience at this store. I am on a limited budget and bought my husband's engagement ring here after being told it would never go on sale. This is the policy on their website too, no sales. Well just a few weeks later the price dropped $70!! I called to have the price adjusted and they refused. After much hassle, the best they could offer me was a $70 credit off our next purchase. Luckily we had more jewelry we planned on buying so it worked out, but the difficulty and amount of stress seemed unnecessary. Also I don't like having my money held hostage and would have liked to shop at a different store than theirs, but their store credit was limited to their location only. I thought it was a little shady to gain sales for their store that way. The jewelry is nice but I recommend the Ala Moana store for better customer service.

(This is probably closer to 3.5 stars to me. If the prices were a little bit lower, it'd definitely be 4 stars!) This now-large, nationwide chain has unique jewelry, using koa wood, gemstones of various types, and assorted metals (mainly silver, gold, tungsten, and steel, I think) on creative designs. Things at Na Hoku are pricey and are probably not things I'd get from one of the many stores outside of Hawaii, but they're an interesting splurge souvenir from a wonderful Hawaii trip. The staff at this particular location is warm and welcoming, lively and patient. While I definitely felt their desire to make a sale here, I didn't think these salespeople were in the "pushy" realm as were salespeople at a couple other Na Hokus (which I didn't buy from for that reason).

Nice selection here of island style fine jewelry. I have been fan of their Hawaiian designs and craftsmanship since my husband got me my first piece of jewelry years ago. This store here at Waikiki Beach Walk is fairly new. The sales guy here Ken was really helpful and knew the inventory. What I liked was that he was not pushy and did not do the up sell tactics that other jewelry kiosks try on tourists. Place wasn't too busy so Ken was able to spend alot of time with me while I tried on different pieces of jewelry. One side of store is Na Hoku jewelry and others side of store is dedicated to other brands. If you have the money invest in Na Hoku though. Your wife will say you have great taste picking out jewelry.
