“Very welcoming gym with very knowledgeable staff. It also, provides great start for kids to start their journey in Crossfit. The pricing is very competitive and allows for an affordable way to start crossfit w/o breaking the bank.”

“How do basketball players stay cool during a game? They stand near the fans! Kawananakoa Gym is located over in Keaukaha, a little ways off of the main stretch of road. Just past Keaukaha Elementary and next to Ke Ana La'ahana Charter School. The gym has a nice big parking lot in front of it and is pretty hard to miss, considering pretty much everything around it besides the schools is residential. The gym itself is very nice. A nice wood court, up-to-date rims and backboards, good bleachers, well-lit, and a decent airflow. It's basically all you could hope for when you're looking for a gym around here to hoop in! I realize that that isn't necessarily saying a ton with a lot of the other gyms around here, but still. This place is really nice. I'd definitely recommend trying to ball up here if you get a chance.”

“FSF is a good time. If you're into cruising around in a big circle, listening to Katy Perry, this is your jam. You'll want to bring your own gear since the loaner stuff isn't always available.”

“Nice "hole in the wall" gym where you can sweat and not be bothered. What it lacks in new equipment it makes up with exclusivity and kind staff. No scales but whatever. Stay away from this hidden gem, I like it too much.”

“Old school gym that serves its purpose...but if you have ever wondered what it would be like to walk to heaven and have a chat with the Jesus..just take the stairs by the girls restroom.”

“Good for what it is. A multipurpose sporting arena. I was here for a college fair. They layer down a protective covering on the floor and set up a hundred or so folding tables for college representatives to sit at as they greeted high school students from around Hilo.”

“A very nice gym. For local residents only. With modern equipment. Nautilus machines, treadmills and stair climbers. And of course a plethora of free weights.Opens at 4:00 a.m. on weekdays. 5:00 a.m. on weekends. It has never been even slightly crowded at 5:00 a.m. . There's about 20 people in the entire gym. However at 6:00 and it starts to get busier. The parking is right out front and free during the early morning hours.I think you have to bring your own towel.People are accommodating a nice. And plus there's a full sauna however I haven't used it.”
