“We love Kagimoto's! This place has the best musubi's in town! The cheapest (biggest sized) bags of ice! Great daily lunches & snacks at the counter. The staff are super friendly & have the best customer service ever. We love coming here! I'd say we stop here at least 1X a week. One thing I love about this little store is that every time you walk in, they greet you by your name! How's that for excellent customer service. Definitely recommended!”

“Juicy meaty laulaus for the win and don’t forget to add one of their bakery items to complete your meal, definitely a hidden gem. And service is always on point each time.”

“Best place to stop before you head the the cold water pond beaches. They have everything you need. I was gonna get coffee but the shakes looked OnO. I had a Molokai with an added oats and honey. Mahalo to the young man today that suggested it. The drink was lined with honey on the walls. It wasn't too sweet but just right. I recommend it. They even had my friends Hilo beef jerky, "Orchid Beef Jerky". So many other goodies and snacks to check out. A must stop if you're in the area.”

“Great little spot our guide Steve, from C Big Island Tours, took us to for lunch. You know it's EXTRA good when I have no pictures for my meal bc it means I've scarfed the whole thing down before I even thought of taking pics of it #newyearsamemeI got the Turkey sandwich with bacon as well as a side of pickles. Please make sure your SO gets their OWN side of pickles otherwise you'll be an unhappy camper like me as I had to begrudgingly share mine :/”

“If you've been to one 7-11, basically you've seen them all. They are all set up the same way with the same products. This, of course, is by design. The only difference I've experienced is with the employees. Different personalities and level of service. I've always gotten excellent service, never had any problems, and they always thank me for my business”

“Target CVC Pharmacy has excellent customer service. I do not have to wait for a long time to get my medicine. I highly recommend getting your medicine there. Friendly staff with great attitude. I will recommend all my family.”

“Want to thank the wonderful people at the Kinoole St. Texaco for helping me out when my car broke down on Saturday, Oct. 21st. They called a tow truck for me and showed so much Aloha. Thank you to Lovina, Theresa & Brandon. ?”

“Great place to find, in front of the Hilo hotel, from where you can buy a good coffee, bobba tea, sandwiches, a quick drink, and souvenirs a/o.Shop opens at 8:00 AM, and it's the only time, early morning, when you can purchase a coffee; a minimum of 5.00 $ to purchase if using credit cards.”

“I was kind of bummed that we only saw one 711 while visiting the Big Island. I get so excited to come here for their snacks because a bunch of the restaurants that I booked marked while visiting are either not open on Sundays, Mondays or even Tuesdays or everything closes super early!!! I wish we had these options back home in LA”

“They have a new tuna mayo inari/cone sushi 3 pack for under $4. Was surprised it was canned tuna and not like the spicy version which used fresh (raw) ahi poke. Still was decent like eating a tuna sandwich with sushi rice and inari. Coffee here is a much better deal than Starbucks.”

“Good gas prices. Interior was clean enough, but small and cramped and entrance is entrance only and exit is exit only. No way in or out bidirectionally but that's only a minor complaint.”

“Part of the tourist experience if you hail from the Midwest is visiting a local 7-11. For those of you who are local, 7-11s in the American Midwest ( between the East and West Coast, the Great Plains, the Great Lakes, big post-industrial cities and disappearing farmland) where 7-11s are place of horrendous coffee, insulting service, dirty public restrooms, and botulism. But 7-11s in Hawai'i have fresh coffee, friendly service, and awesome local taste snack foods. Some of the best Spam Musubi is found in Hawai'ian 7-Elevens. It's like they are not even the same corporation. Still open all the time. Instead of the "I'll help who's next in line," and "have a nice rest of your day," the woman working here actually talked to me like I'm a human being albeit in local Pidgin (which made it seem even friendlier). Mahalo!”

“I’ve grown up with Meadow Gold milk. Despite the sale (and imminent closure) of the dairy’s properties on Sheridan Street in Honolulu, I hope it will continue to be sold in Hawaii. I still remember there was an ice cream production plant in the corner of Beretania and Keeaumoku, now the site of a medical office building.”

“After dinner during our first night on Big Island, we needed water/refreshments before heading back to the hotel, so we turned into a nearby gas station on the way back. Nomnom appears to be a newer competitor to long-standing convenience stores like 7-Eleven and Minit Stop. They claim to carry all the favorites for snacking and even offer discounted movie passes. This particular location was not as spacious as the 7-Elevens we've visited, but still offered the basics you would expect to find in a convenience store: Hot foods like musubi, hot dogs, and manapua. Beverages like hot/iced coffee, milk, cappuccino, hot cocoa, tea, juice, soda, energy/sports drinks, beer, liquor, and wine. Snacks like candies, gums/mints, chips, jerky, cookies, nuts/seeds, and frozen treats. They even offer deals on these snacks, beverages, and hot foods. We were able to score some savings on our purchases of large water bottles. If you're a local resident, be sure to register for the Kama'aina Rewards to earn points on purchases, which in turn can be spent like cash. Their reward system is nice because if you're a frequent coffee or ICEE consumer, you can redeem the 8th cup for free (just remember to scan the card upon purchasing).”

“Pricey gas but they have ONO (good) Kona coffee (located by the hot foods in the corner) and a good variety of creamers and sugars to choose from for being a gas station. I LOVE Starbucks and Shells coffee is equivalent to that and it's DEFINITELY better quality than McDonald's. 16oz is only $1.59. Any coffee lover should try! Also have good hot food selection. Their Loco Moco was good.”

“Wow this place has so much food options that is not like any gas stations that I have back home. So many different spam musubi options and buns. We came here after stopping at the volcano park for a quick snack on our way to Mauna Kea.”

“As we stood browsing picture frames in the photo department, a very pleasant staff member greeted us and asked if we needed help. Super friendly photo department! These days, you can't even find anyone to help you if you had a question! We found the picture frames we wanted and went to check out. The cashier was very considerate is packing the picture frames so they don't get scratched. This store is the embodiment of Aloha spirit and totally deserves 5-stars!”

“Extremely convenience gas station along Kamehameha Ave. Self-service and can be busy at times. It's a pretty clean gas station too. Haven't any chance to encounter any staff so I can't say too much about their customer service. Gas price is too high so we only come here for emergency. And the hotel where we stayed is just a couple minutes ride to here so it's pretty convenient for us too.”

“Cherie is the friendliest cashier . She always has a smile on her face and always giving her best when checking out the customers. Longs is lucky to have her. Some of the managers are grouchy .”

“So glad this Texaco was open 24/7 and available on a late Monday night. I went to two other gas stations in Hilo and was quite surprised to find both closed before 10pm. This one was a lifesaver, fulfilling essential gas filling needs for a long drive back to Kailua-Kona.”

“The cashier I went to was very helpful and friendly. It was extremely crowded but she took the time to acknowledge me and thank me for coming by. her name was Hope and I’d go back again if she was the Xavier that would help me.”

“The only 24-hour Longs Drugs in Hilo. For almost a week staying in this side of the island we've come here almost every night not because we really need something but sometimes we created reasons to just come here because most of the staffs were so friendly! They helped us in our queries and patiently lead us to specific aisle for the things That we need to buy. Just like other LD this store almost has all the things you need for emergency. Just when I needed liners, lip sunscreen protection, cup noodles, pain reliever, late snacks, bottled juice drink, alkaline water and etc. Almost every night we come home at the hotel around 10pm and there are chances that restaurants are close and we ended up buying food here to save us for the night. If you're in or around Hilo and need something in the middle of the night, consider looking for this specific location and sure thing you can rely Longs Drugs. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps!”
