“In the very beginning, I was hesitant about shopping at this location due to the name Southern Ace Hardware. The atmosphere, the location, had me a little cautious about shopping at this store due to the name SOUTHERN ACE HARDWARE but I decided to give it a shot. The store was very clean an very well stocked with the products I was looking for when I walked in. NO ONE offered to help me initially. I continued to browse for about 15 minutes before being asked if I needed help. I noticed that once I began to ask questions, I was approached by several of the stores team members, which gave me an uncomfortable feeling. After making my decision, everything seemed to be ok until I decided to make a second purchase. The young teenage girl at the register was looking at me very strangely as if she really did not want to help me because I was a BLACK MAN then when I paid for my item, she placed my receipt on the counter and not in my hand and that was very rude of her she did this because of my skin color! After my purchase, I had to call I had to call Ace Hardware customer service for some additional help, but I was satisfied in the end. Thank you.”
“Robert & Sharon are awesome to work with and their finished product is amazing!I met Sharon at Lakewood Antique Mart and discussed the house we were building and the idea of custom barn doors. She gave me some high level numbers that seemed very reasonable so I requested a quote.Robert sent us samples and gave good recommendations based on what we were trying to achieve. He came out to see where the installation would be done, took some notes from my wife and then built the doors.We had some delays in construction and they were flexible in rescheduling. They are really nice people and do quality work for a reasonable price.”
