Dr. Fish and Dr. Porter have done an excellent job with our two dogs. Goose, our Weimar, needed an appointment as soon as we moved into town. We weren’t sure he would make it through the night. We had a few more visits like that and they were there with us every time. Now we have an almost year old puppy full of excitement! We just had our neuter pre appointment with Dr. Porter. He assured us it was the right time and our pup was in excellent health. Everyone at Oakwood Animal Hospital are professional and friendly!

I can't sing the praises of Oakwood Animal Hospital enough! We've been enjoying their services for 5 years now with our pitty, Joy. All of the techs and doctors are top notch, showing exceptional knowledge and customer service. I see time and time again how well every employee exudes compassion and genuine care to every patron and pet. I highly recommend Oakwood Animal Hospital for all of your pet needs!

Very professional and very knowledgeable people here. I took my cat up there for an annual so I was able to see him get his physical and his shots. He hissed when he got his ears checked but I they handled him very well. Plus, it’s very affordable.

I have nothing but great things to say about this team. Dr. Porter, Caitlyn, Rachel, Morgan, Kerin (I probably spelt wrong, I’m sorry), Taylor, Doshia, & Hannah have been the kindest, most compassionate, caring people I have ever met. They took care of my sweet boy as if he was their own. Dr. Porter is honest, patient, and truly just wants what’s best for your fur babies. I had to make the hardest decision ever, laying my sweet Max to rest, but I am forever grateful and thankful knowing that Max got the best care and was loved on so much by this team. Whenever my heart is ready for another baby, with no hesitation will I bring them back to this Animal Hospital. Thank you all for everything.

My parents & I switched to Oakwood Animal Hospital at the recommendation of our vet when he retired. This was 2-2.5 years ago. One of my parents’ dogs got sick on May 23, 2024, & the office worked the dog in. The dog still wasn’t better on Saturday, & my mom called that morning for an appointment. The office couldn’t work the dog in. I understand the office is open only until 2:00 on Saturdays, & it was a holiday weekend. However, we were shocked the office didn’t work in an established patient. Mom had to call around to find a vet to see the dog because the emergency vet didn’t open until noon. Oakwood Animal Hospital couldn’t find the lab results they took on Wednesday; yet my mom paid for the labs. My parents decided to change vet practices after this incident.

I like Dr. Fish. I hate that they only do written prescriptions. You have to physically pick up a rx to mail if you want to order from somewhere like Chewy, petco, etc. The rx I mailed to Petco never arrived, and even though they could easily help me by verbally approving the rx, they refuse. If you want the ability to shop around to get better prices on meds, the mail in rx makes it wildly inconvenient. They're not good about picking up the phone or returning calls.
