My husband and I arrived at 9:15pm on a Saturday night and the restaurant turned out the lights as we parked the truck. We walked down to the dock to sit by the water and relax a bit (since we drove 45 minutes to get here). About 30 minutes later, an older gentleman that resembled Uncle Jesse (Dukes of Hazzard) came to "un invite" us from Ben's property. He stated it's private property and we were not allowed to be there.
We are almost 50, sitting quietly enjoying the scenery and discussing renting pontoon boats here instead of Lake Sinclair.
Uncle Jesse, you made our decision for us. Thank you for showing the true colors of this Marina. I'm sure you saved us some heartache down the road.
I will not give my business to the restaurant, marina or any of the sort at Martin's Marina.

First of all let me say THANKS TO MATT he's the greatest . Let me tell you about my experience at Martin's Marina my friend and I was on separate boats he made a trip to the truck to get a few things that was left in our trucks when he returned he tossed my keys to me a little short lucky we was about 4 to 7 feet from the bank so we got into the water trying to find the keys with our feet after a couple of hours I drove my boat back to the dock and asked for help MAT did not hesitate to jump right in and help after going back to the spot with me to try again to find my keys he told me about a aces hardware about 2 miles away we made a trip to get a couple of magnets and some string ...the end result is MAT found my keys with the magnet in 15 minutes after returning...THANKS AGAIN MATT!

Closed at 715pm on a Wednesday. Im used to marinas strong open until just after dark. My wife tried to get gas for our seadoo. Unable to, had to cut our fun on the lake short. Bummer. My wife suggested you clearly post your hours. At this time there is no place to get gas on lake jackson. No gas a Berry's, bear creek closed due to storm damage, and martins marina closed.

The menu looks good and reasonably priced. We were very excited to check the place out. What a disappointment…. Salad bar was ok… I got crab cakes which were made with that fake artificial stuff ?Fries and onion rings were obviously the frozen ones just thrown into the oil. My husband got catfish and it tasted very “muddy “The staff however, was very friendly and provided excellent service!! Too bad the food was a total bomb!

I do not recommend this place! Please don't bring your boat here or eat at the restaurant. You will not get good service. It's to long to get in to.My advice you will have better service any other place but here.I will not waste my money giving them a 2nd chance.

Food is good, but….After spending $2,300 on boat repairs my boat won’t start 4 weeks after the repairs. New starter, alternator, carburetor, etc, etc. Sounds like the starter is bad, again. Now they are saying they “fired the old mechanic” due to poor workmanship. We will see.

The actual marina is wonderful. I have been coming here since the 80's. The people are nice and the food is great. My problem is with the mechanics. A friend of mine had some problems with his boat. They offered to work on it. The first mechanic broke more things then he fixed. That was one week. Costs $150.00. So they kept it for another 2 weeks waiting on parts. They needed to rebuild the carburetor. The second mechanic got it back together and we took it to Florida. Cost $168.00. Keep in mind we took his word that it was fixed. Total cost at Martin's $318.00Well, we launched the boat. It was worse then before we brought it to Martin's. Luckily someone at the launch point saw we were having issues. He offered to help and gave us a guys number to take a look at it. This guy was a true mechanic that worked on large ships and small Yachts. We hung around while he took the carb apart. There was no gasket, just some slim letting air get in. The jets were replaced, just put in backwards. I'm not a mechanic so I have no way of knowing how you can install jets backwards. We took pictures of the mess so we would have some kind of evidence when we got back to Ga. Oh, after it was put back together with a few more parts, Martin's forgot, the boat ran like brand new. Cost $413.00We return to Ga and my buddy called Martin's. The owner was rude and very disrespectful. He took no blame, didn't want to see the pictures and told my buddy if he wanted something "monetary" he would have to sue him. I don't think I will be coming back to use them as a launch point anymore. After seeing how things are being done there and how they acted, I know for a fact Mr. Martin would have hit the roof. "God rest his soul".Being from the Jackson area, and having friends that live on the lake, I will be sure to spread the word. I am embarrassed I even told my buddy to take his boat there. He wasn't even looking to get the money back, he just wanted to let the owner be aware of the kind of work his "mechanics" are doing there. It was disgraceful and I am ashamed to have told anyone to get there boat or jetski worked on there.
