I’ve never had a bad experience like this before. We show up around 4:40 PM (they close at 5:00) and there is only one employee working in the front room. The guys detailing cars were all standing around and smoking in the parking lot. The lady up front was new and was trying to manage the reservation computer but was obviously struggling because she was still learning. The lobby smelled like someone pooped in the corner and my wife had to wait outside because she got nauseous. I waited for about 75 minutes and the lady working the counter was only able to help 3 people in that time. There were 3 other people besides me in the lobby by 5:50 pm. The manager (or I assume he was the manager cause he hid in an office in the back) would come up front to help her do something on the computer and then go back to his office. The poor lady even had to vacuum out cars by herself because the guys out back left right at 5:00 once they got done smoking. After she spent 25 minutes helping the people ahead of us, the manager came out to help her again and said she had to cancel their transaction and start over cause she didn’t do it right. He then went back into his office and shut the door. That’s when I got up and left. We decided to postpone our trip and rent a car from someone else later than wait another 30 minutes to an hour in that gross lobby. The lady running the counter was doing everything she could to help the customers but every other employee was perfectly content letting her struggle while they screwed around in the back. I’ll pay more to rent from Enterprise than sit in that building for over an hour again

Sat in the waiting room for over an hour to get a rental vehicle. One person working the front, another in the back- only coming out occasionally, but did not help additional people waiting. Actually saw people waiting and did not help. Also, this place smelled like someone had pooped in the waiting area. Awful smelling. Ended up walking out because no one would help and figured we could get better service somewhere else.

I recently rented a vehicle from this location and I will say my experience with the electric vehicle I rented at first was horrible. I thought I would make it to my destination but little did I know how complicated it would be to charge the vehicle and wait 2hrs+ for it to charge. Yes I should have done more research but I did get a discount if I rented an electric vehicle. Long story short I was stranded with my child trying to charge the electric vehicle. Hertz customer service reps could not help me and didn't care to exchange the vehicle. I finally decided to call the local hertz in Gainesville and I spoke to John. He is the only reason I am giving a 5 star review because he was the only one that helped me and provided me with a different vehicle. So if you rent from this location and have an issue make sure to speak with him first. Thanks again John!!

What a pathetic company! Booked a car through Kayak, with insurance, picked up the car and received an email stating their is no insurance. Called Hertz who told us to go back to them and they will add insurance. We went back and was told they can't!!! Will never rent from this dodgy company again. (Both Hertz and Kayak)

To begin with they were great but when we needed to extend our rental they wanted to charge twice as much. They also added a fee for adding my wife as a driver while enterprise does not charge a fee for a spouse.

I get a call at 7:45 pm on Friday that they don't have a car for my rental that I am supposed to pickup at 9:00 am on Saturday, leaving me with nothing for my trip. The car was booked several days ahead of time. Why wait to call me at the last minute and leave me stranded with no alternatives? I expect more from Hertz!

Definitely DO NOT use this agency for your rental. Made reservations over a month in advance and made sure everything was set for my trip. THE MORNING OF my trip, leaving the house before 8 am to pick up the car first thing and they call to cancel my reservation. No cars available? This couldn't have been relayed to me the night before? I was left scrambling to find a plan B for my family and although they said they would call back with options they were searching for, I never heard back from them again. So I will never use this agency again and suggest you save yourself the headache.

miserable. my 2nd experience with them was worst than the first. first rental was filthy - I had to clean it myself. the 2nd, they cancelled my reservation the day of as I'm going to pick up the car. cannot think of one redeeming thing. avoid.

Very unorganized, low quality establishment with even lower quality vehicles provided to customers. Was extremely patient while waiting for all the issues that were experienced during the rental pick up. MULTIPLE delays for multiple reasons all related to the business/ staff at this location on that day. Had the car less than 24 hours and truly TRIED to adjust to the car even after immediately noticing how poor it drove/ rode AND sounded. Several superficial issues with the car as well but the driving quality being the most important, obviously. I called the remodeled Pizza Hut establishment in Gainesville to request an exchange. I even apologized for the trouble I’m causing THEM as they tell me no problem and to come exchange it next day. I arrive after moving mountains to leave my job early and exchange the car as told just to THEN BE TOLD TO COME BACK MONDAY (today is Friday) because the people there today were not there yesterday and nobody knows anything and they don’t have any cars today but they’ll have “45 cars on Monday” ?? awful experience after I have previously used a different location with a perfect outcome. 24 hours into a 20 day minimum rental…

Worst experience ever. Customer service sucks and they DONT answer their phones at all at this location. I was supposed to be picked up at my repair location no one called no one had any answers as to what the hell was going on. I cancelled my reservation and switched to ENTERPRISE if you’re smart you will too.

First time renting at this place and I don't think I'll rent here again I made a reservation for the next day and I didn't get a car until the next day so basically I was already paying the day I didn't get the car, to take off the day it charge would have cost more then I found out that they charged me more for not filling the tank up I only needed a little bit more for the full tank a riend say they wouldn't charge me more cause they left it how i did and they didn't get charged and it's only one employee the other one was busy snacking on food then helping it was around 4:20pm that I went

Worst company in the world. They were supposed to drop off a car to me and never showed up, never called, couldn't contact them and tried 15 times over 10 hours. Also used the 800 number which put me on hold for a hour till I hung up, tried again later and same thing. So no car, stranded, no contact, 6 text messages from them where they said they would call and didn't. If there was ever a 0 star company it's this one.
