Employees don’t generally know anything about the different types of boots and uses. I found the same boots cheaper over at the PX and come to return mine and was charged a 10% fee for returning them. They don’t mention the fee when you make your purchase.Go to the main PX, ranger joes, commandos, or Troops. They will take much better care of you and won’t hit you with surprise fees if you need to return.

We went to Kim's this morning to get boots for my boyfriend. The older lady at first was some what kind but wasn't very helpful. We asked for 2 different types of boots and she just brought us 2 of the same kind. So we paid for 1 with the older gentleman. He was friendly enough. But there was no mention of a return policy or that it was stapled to the receipt. It was just placed in the box. We go to Ranger Joes and they were the opposite, super friendly and helpful. We were able to find both types of boots and in the right width because we got the service we needed. Not even an hour later we return to Kim's to return the first pair that was bought. I wasn't in the store at the beginning of the conversation. So when I happened to learn that my boyfriend wasn't getting a full refund. I asked why? And the younger manager (I think) snapped at me, insulted my boyfriend and was INCREDIBLY rude. Instead of being polite and stating that it was apart of the return policy she just said "you can read, maybe you'll understand" shoving the recipes in my direction, insinuating my boyfriend couldn't read. My boyfriend said he was done with this conversation and she snapped. Unloading her opinions and so on. After the return transaction took place, you hear her walking outside the store saying other very unprofessional statements and continuing to talk negatively about us at the table while eating her lunch with her other colleagues (the ones from the original transaction). As we walked out I told them thanks and to have a good day and she whipped her head around and bluntly said "you have a better day". I responded with thanks, I will. I do not recommend this place at all. Incredibly rude. Not helpful. Make you feel like they're only there to take these trainees money because they don't have other options. If you can, go to RANGER JOE's. They're right off base and super friendly and helpful!

The Asian lady who works there is just awful, she’s rude and extremely unprofessional. Do not buy your boots here. They do not honor their return policy

The selection of boots as well as the size selection compared to the shop in the main px is larger. I came here as the main px didn't have my size. The footprint is small but they have a lot of boots.

Where to begin, I initially came into the store to see about a boot repair on a pair of GA Boots I have and saw that they had the Lacrosse Venom Snake boots my fiance was looking at online. He wasn't with me so I told them I would come back so he could try them on a figure out exactly what size to get. These are $200+ boots, so I wanted to make sure we got the right size. The two younger girls working the front were very nice and helpful. The following week,a few days before Black Friday, I called to find out if they were going to have a black Friday sale. The current sale was 15% off, when I called I was told the 15% off was the holiday sale price and then minutes later I was called back and told that they would be doing 20% off that day. Perfect, my fiance was off so we went by so we could find out his shoe size was. We came in and proceeded to look for the boots I look at previously. The owner Kim came up and asked what were were looking for and I told her " Lacrosse Venom Snake boots." She went and brought me boots but there weren't the right ones I had specifically asked for, so I went to go back and find them for myself. No problem there, so he tried an 8 1/2 on and they fit. We were like "Okay, I will be back on Black Friday to get these" and she responded " Get these today I will give you 20% off now." I then explained I planned to come Black Friday to pick them up." That was went I had decided to do all my holiday shopping. As soon as she saw we weren't buying them right then and there she snatched them from me (yes I mean snatched) and put them back before my fiance even had the chance to take the other shoe off. Very rude for someone who owns a business. Because of this I ended up buying the boots online at Amazon, paying $26 more for them, instead of going back into this establishment as I was trying to support my local businesses instead of buying everything online. I do not recommend a place who treats customers so rudely and by the OWNER non the less.

Do not let the small store fool you. Kim's Boot & Shoe on Fort Benning has one of the best selections of both military and civilian boots. The prices are very compatible with other stores. Aside from good customer service and the wide variety of brand names, a percentage goes back to MWR for Soldiers and Families. They also do shoe repairs.

Great selection of boots. The only thing I would say bad is that they follow you through the store. They are really helpful though.

The sign and their hours say they should be open for another hour, the door was locked and no one was there. Hours don't reflect what is posted.
