Of all the horror stories I've read online about the VA healthcare system. I can honestly say I have not experienced any of that here. Everyone is friendly so far. I am being treated as requested. Thanks

Appointment wait times are close to a year for primary care doctors.Half the doctors speak terrible english, and if you want a different doctor too bad.The wait time to be seen by a nurse is not too bad, however the doctor will need to set an appointment up with you after seeing the nurse, and like I said that will be around a year later.Go to a civilian doctor or hospital if you have a real problem you need to be cared for fast, because these places are here to just make money from gov paychecks. No actual care has ever been given at these locations.

Most employees showed up 20-30 minutes late. Stood around talking. Didn’t know if the lab machine was working or not. I was waiting for an hour being 2nd in line for lab work. I was supposed to be going back to work asap but wasted hours sitting here at the Oakwood VA clinic. Get it together. Veterans deserve for the VA employees to be on time at a minimum.

I have received nothing but good care here. The staff is always kind and caring and that may be because I always tell them that I appreciate them. Kindness begets kindness. My primary care doctor, Dr Coker, is awesome.

Very happy with the way the Oakwood VA Clinic supports my health care.

The VA is understaffed, overworked and underpaid. This clinic offers many services to include optometry and labs. Everyone is friendly and helpful but can tell they are just done. 5 stars to the workers here shame on the government for keeping them from their potential.

A lot has changed since my last visit before Covid. I still got my visit objectives accomplished in good time.

Everyone was nice until you go to the lab. The ladies were extremely short with me and an older gentleman. And their tone was absolutely rude. This old man served his country and had a sheriff's hat on. So he served his community too. And you point at a chair and say sit there. I said good morning, she said whats your name. Have some respect for the men and women that sacrifice so you can even have a job.

04/31/22 @ 11:30am. Bloodwork personnel super rude and disrespectful. Talked to me like I was either a 5 year old child or incoherent 90 year old. I walked out.

I have a cavity. I made an appointment to be seen because, when you have a cavity you’re in pain. I show up for my appointment to be seen for my cavity. They took X-rays and poked around in my mouth to verify that, I have a cavity. Then, I got told by the dentist and the assistant that, I need to come back in three months to be seen for THE CAVITY that I made the appointment for. It’s as if, it won’t get worst over the next three months.I’m concluding that, these dentist are either not being compensated for doing work, so they stretch the work out over numerous visits. Better yet, the VA is also not meeting the staffing needs to the population anywhere. Now, make sense of what I just told you?

Stay far far far away from this clinic. They are true trash. They rather have you die then see you. They will cancel your appointment, after appointment with no courtesy call. I mean that so hard to do right? Your doctors, and all workers there are sick, and need to seek a mental hospital. They never answer phones nor call back. Pathetic. They treat you like trash, and blatantly lie to your face. If it's to hard to work stay home, bunch of rats.

Extremely sad how Dr. Rigmee and team have little concern of veterans. Today I have spoken to 4 (four) different people regarding medicine refilled 11/15 for my 87 year old dad. After being given the runaround was called back told the medicine and voucher was called in to a pharmacy in Oakwood, made a second trip, pharmacist there explained the voucher was sent, however it had not been approved. He also added this situation is typical of the Oakwood VA location. The last person, Reginald, I spoke to confirmed that Dr. Rigmee had actually instructed for it to be mailed instead. That said my 87-year-old dad is going on his 10th day without Eliquis after having a heart attack two strokes and starting chemo next week.My family and I are starting to document things and will escalate to home office.I think it’s important that folks know ahead of time of what they might run into at the Oakwood VA location.

Unhelpful and disrespectful. Unbelievable that a vet would be treated in this manner.
