If I could give a thousand star rating, this pet clinic deserves it. Words can not express how I feel and at this point I feel like the staff and I are family : ) I called this past Saturday for my dog Leo to come in with no appointment in an emergency situation. From the moment I walked in, I was met with care, kindness, and professionalism. I was so nervous, and my hands were shaking I couldn't even fill the form out. The nice ladies at the front desk step in and did that for me. The vet, and vet tech (I'm assuming) we're kind and knowledgeable. Words can not express how amazing the staff were to us. I think I'm going to switch my little guy Leo's clinic after this. : )

I can't say enough good things about Hamilton Mill Animal Hospital. The care my dog receives is exceptional every single time. The front staff are consistently warm and accommodating, making every visit smooth and stress-free. The doctors are not only highly skilled but also genuinely compassionate, always going above and beyond to ensure my pet's well-being. It's clear that they truly care about their patients and their families. I am incredibly grateful for their dedication and expertise. Highly recommend!

2 months ago I wanted to give this animal hospital a shot after reading the good reviews. After getting a quote for a dental cleaning for my dachshund for over $2000, he just had a dental cleaning last year at another vet which cost me roughly $500. No extractions were made.
Now he is due for his rabies shot, he was just in office 2 months ago for his annual, to want to charge me $70 just for the office visit to administer a rabies shot is more than disappointing.

This review 4 years ago would have been 5 stars, but after 7+ years of bringing my pups here I made the choice to leave as the level of care declined. When the corporate ownership occurred the level of care declined. This was exacerbated when they received the AAHA accreditation. Also many of the tenured vets have left with a few who still remain from when it was a private practice (they still give the old quality of care).
We boarded our pets frequently but after the changes, we noticed a change in the care of our dogs while at boarding. They were coming home smelling of feces and urine, and often times our food was returned and med doses skipped. I purposefully provided enough for the entire stay.
The corporate ownership changed HMAH and not in a positive way. Not only are the costs higher, but the quality of care is way down. I miss much of the staff there and there are still some amazing staff and doctor in the clinic but the over all clinic has declined, the focus is on the income and not of the animal.

HM Animal Hospital. Let me introduce myself. I am a pet owner that has been with your practice since the beginning with Dr G and Jill. Yes, I was one of the originals 25+ years ago. I started with Dr G when he opened his office by HomeDepot. I loved him – he loved my pups. I walked out with him on his last day when he retired. He was with me when I lost one of my first pups – he hugged me tight as we said goodbye.
I stayed with Dr Fulmer and Dr Flowers. I was afraid I wouldn’t have the same care that I received from Dr G. They were wonderful. Dr Fulmer got me. He knew my love for my pups. He was emotional the day it was clear we were going to have to say goodbye to our 10 year old labradoodle. He quickly got me in to NoGa Pet Specialists for a second opinion for a same day appt. Yes, we loaded our pup that day and drove from your office straight to the specialist. That is the kind of action that a vet that cares puts into place. I received a personal sympathy note from the practice with a kind gift acknowledging our loss.
Fast Forward to now. I stayed with the corporate purchase. You had a great vet in Dr Asher. She was let go. I assume she did not meet your ‘up sale’ requirements. She was good and she cared. I stayed even though my gut was telling me to move on when you let her go.
Do you want to know about Colt? He is gone. Yes, my 7 year old beautiful boy is gone. I asked for help to get him into a specialist quicker. I never heard back. This was after I waited a full day for a call back when I called after he received care from you over that weekend. I explained that Monday morning that I did not feel good about things – I waited all day for a call. Still I stayed with you.
A few days later, when you called with unfavorable ultrasound results it was like you were calling to tell me he had a runny nose – you were void of emotion. I was devastated.
Do you know how I got him in for quick care? I drove to a vet in Loganville who actually cared. She is an independent vet. You know what…she is going to be my vet for my surviving pup. It is worth the drive. Not only did she get me into NoGa Vet Specialists quickly. She followed the care Colt was receiving and provided us guidance via calls and emails. She called me after hours on a Friday night knowing what they discovered when doing surgery was not good and we had to make a gut wrenching decision to say good bye to our beloved boy. She understood our love with one in person office visit. Have I heard from any of you - not a peep.
Over the years, I have provided a good amount of financial support through myself and family and friends that I referred to your practice. I helped fund that nice office you are in. Your prices are ridiculously high…but I stayed. Your up sales are ridiculously noticeable…but I stayed…your vet turnover is ridiculously sad…but I stayed. I am gone now…so sad that such a great practice is simply void of emotion and is about the money – and by the way…clean up around your building – it is gross.

I recently had my 2 dogs come in for some vaccines. One of my doggos can be difficult when it comes to vet visits but they went very slow with him and it turned out to be a successful visit. The entire staff and Dr. Williams were very attentive to my concerns!

Let me start by acknowledging that I have extensive DR-trust issues. It keeps me from jumping to the vet for every little thing under the sun when it comes to myself and my pups. But when I noticed my dog has an obvious injury that was beyond the scope of OTC care, I started calling around. I know no vet or DR wants to receive a new AND sick pet and I cherish the ones that willingly subject themselves to people like me who come in only when absolutely necessary. I never expect much from this sort of relationship, but today really gave me a new perspective. The receptionist was extremely polite. She provided me not only a same day but early morning appointment based on my really whack meeting schedule. They knocked out all kinds of testing and had me out the door with meds and a follow-up plan of action in the most timely fashion. Kinley absolutely loved them despite whatever pain she may be in. The office is well cared for and comfortable to visit. The doctor and staff were undescribably friendly and welcoming. They didn't make me feel like a horrible pet parent ( which I did enough on my own). I really can't say enough about the confidence they've instilled in me for the care of my pet.

Soo friendly, very responsive! My dog is extremely scared of people she doesn't know, but the employees are very patient and take good care of her when she goes. Would highly recommend.
