I went to pick up my car from here. The lady was nice but they don't accept chime at this airport apparently. It's not listed anywhere on here. I had to cancel my rental ? it would be nice if they let you know prior to booking

I prepaid for a car reservation but when I got to Augusta no cars were available. Agents at the desk were of no help. Bad experience. Having to deal with the process of a refund is annoying and unnecessary trouble.

My wife and her sister rented a car for my graduation from basic training out of OKC, and we paid 400 dollars as a security deposit which was supposed to be returned once the vehicle was back and was in the same condition it was given. I knew for a fact it was. It has now been a MONTH and we have yet to receive our security deposit back and they tried charging the card more money. I should not have to fight with a company who brought in 2.3 BILLION DOLLARS in revenue last year for my $400 security deposit. I work hard for my money and don’t deserve to be ripped off. You guys need to make this right.

Ok, I've shared before about this Alamo, and now again. Terrific! Again the cars are pristine clean, nice touch that they leave you extra sanitizing wipes. Also, their prices clearly beat all of the other rental companies. We will continue to use Alamo. Great job again!

Last night my husband and I took our friend to the Atlanta Airport so he could pick up his family (wife and two small children) who just traveled 18 hours from out of the country. They got a rental car from Alamo Rent A Car and were 20 minutes outside of Augusta, GA when the car smelled like something was burning and smoke filled the cabin through the air vents. When our friend checked under the hood, he realized that there was oil covering almost everything under the hood including the engine so the car was smoking. There was oil all under the car as well and when he checked the dipstick, he saw that there was almost no oil in the car and the coolant was below the minimum line. Fortunately, my husband and I were not far behind them and were able to meet them on the shoulder of an exit ramp on I-20. We called customer support multiple times and were given different information each time including that we needed to order an Uber or call highway patrol but that highway patrol would not be able to give them a ride or get a tow truck and if we did not go through a contracted tow company it would be at our expense. At one point we were also advised to leave the vehicle on the side of the road with the doors unlocked and that we could leave the vehicle there with full liability if anything happened to the vehicle. Each time were told that a tow truck would be out soon with one customer service representative telling us the tow truck would be there in 9 minutes when the truth was no tow service had even picked up for the service. We all spent hours waiting with the car for the tow truck in the hopes that we could have the issue resolved quickly. At 3 am we made the decision that I would drive the children and our friend's wife to their hotel and then drove back to wait with my husband and our friend for the tow truck. When I arrived at 5 am, my husband informed me that customer service advised that they leave the vehicle with the doors locked and the tow truck would be able to get the car because they had no ETA on when a tow truck would be able to get the vehicle. We arrived in Augusta where my husband and his friend were able to take a short nap before heading to the Augusta Airport to try and get a replacement rental car for our friend. My husband and his friend got to the airport at 8 am and it wasn't until 1pm that our friend was able to get a rental car. They were told that the company policy was that they could not give another rental car unless the original car was returned. When the situation was explained they said that the issue with the tow truck not coming was between us and the tow truck company and not Alamo. When asked to see this policy they were told that there was no physical copy they could show us and that it was a verbal policy given during training. Instead of being apologetic and trying to assist customers that were left stranded on the side of the road with small children for hours, the Augusta Alamo Rent A Car essentially blamed our friend for being in the position he is in. There was no accountability for the issue with the original vehicle, no accountability for the misinformation provided us throughout the night, and no accountability at the Augusta location for the lack of physical policy. Most importantly, nobody ever asked if everyone was okay and no sincere apology was ever given by the Atlanta Airport Alamo or by the Augusta Airport Alamo. We have been met with nothing but excuses and frustration at us for our concerns and for being stressed about the situation. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a company and our friend and his family were put through unnecessary stress and hardship from both Alamo locations and the 24/7 customer support.

Worst Customer Service…We had a reservation for a vehicle…They gave it away. Could absolutely care less…. Left us basically stranded at Augusta Airport…Management wouldn’t even come out to speak directly with us…Renter beware!!!DON’T GET YOUR HOPES UP IF YOU RENT FROM THEM…On a better note.. BUDGET CAR RENTAL TO THE RESCUE!!!

I had a really great experience last week thanks to Sheila. When it comes to car rentals, I get so nervous thanks to all the bad reviews online. I felt compelled to leave this one, because Sheila was truly a pleasure to work with. She gave me some solid advice on my one-way rental, which led me to save some money. Lord knows I always appreciate that!!

What a terrible company. I flew into town on Thursday evening and I made a reservation to pick up a rental on Friday morning. When I arrived at Alamo to pick up the rental they told me that they couldn't give me the car because I didn't make a reservation to pick up the car Thursday which was the day I flew into town. They said when you pay with a debit card, you MUST pick up the rental on the same day you fly into a city. I have never heard of that before. It wasn't on their website when I booked the reservation and it wasn't posted on any flyers at their desk when I went to the rental location. Furthermore, when I emailed the location manager about my concern she lied to me. And when I asked her to show me written documentation saying that we have to pick up the rental on the same day we fly into an airport she refused to answer the rest of my questions. She simply ignored the rest of my emails in hopes that I would forget what they had done to me. After waiting for two months for the manager to respond to my emails, I called the corporate office a few weeks ago. I was told that someone would call me but I still haven't heard anything back from them. Don't rent a car from this company! They will make up random rules and then ignore your questions about those rules. Take your money somewhere else!

The vehicle was great and clean. The only problem was that it was electric and gas. It was not charged up, which we did not know. We never had one before. Great full for the roadside service and Alamo understanding why we ended up being late. Thank you Alamo for great service.
