Dr. Wellons is the greatest of care and concerns for my wellbeing. She took the time to listen to my concerns. She actually cares about me as a patient. I have chosen to move my primary care to her. Thanks!!!

Dr. Wellons is an angel in disguise. I received a very difficult to hear diagnosis & wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to comfort me in that moment other than her. I cannot thank her enough for her kindness, patience, thoroughness, & empathy to my situation. My new PCP, no questions asked.

I had an appointment because i need a new primary care, the front desk lady yelled at me saying the Dr wouldn't write a prescriprion for my Cymbalta and I had to see a nephreologist. When i asked why i would need to see a kidney specialist to continue taking an antidepressant she screamed at me that "shes just a messanger" I wish i never waisted my time coming here. Never even got to see the doctor

I really wanted to like AllCare, as folks were generally pleasant. Unfortunately, after visiting for an annual physical, I’m beyond frustrated.
1. It had been 8 years since my last physical, and I spoke to three separate people about what is generally included in an annual physical. For example, when asked if I wanted STD testing done as well, I asked whether or not I’d be billed extra for that. All this to say that I clearly made it known I did not know what to expect. When I arrived, their system to verify my insurance was down, so they had me call Aetna to manually verify with them that I hadn’t used my yearly physical. They said, "we want to make sure you aren’t charged." Despite this, they charged me for a wellness check/office visit. During the visit, the doctor asked if there was anything else I wanted them to take a look at. I mentioned a skin issue and that I’d be going to a dermatologist regardless. But since he asked, I asked him to take a look, not realizing the implications. Turns out that that 30 second conversation allows them to bill me for an office visit rather than a physical. Perhaps it’s naive of me, but after making it abundantly clear that I had not been to a doctor in years and wasn’t sure what the “process” was, a simple heads-up that I would be charged for a non-preventative office visit before asking me if I have any other issues would have been greatly appreciated. Further, I told them I did not need a referral to the dermatologist, but was told they’d write one for me “just in case”. Whether ignorance or ill intentioned, it’s frustrating.
2. They coded my lab work order with a non-preventative code, meaning I’ve also been charged for *annual bloodwork*. The issue discussed in my first point above had to do with spots on my skin, so there is absolutely ZERO plausible explanation to have sent Labcorp a non-preventative billing code. Labcorp and my insurance have said they cannot do anything about this unless the code is fixed by AllCare.
Meanwhile, it’s not easy to talk to anyone on the phone. Their automatic routing system either sends you to voicemail or to an international call center. While friendly, I don’t love having to discuss my medical concerns with a call center employee.
Getting this all cleared up would go a long way. As I said, everything seemed fine until billing. Otherwise, this is just yet another example of why I, and many others, detest our healthcare system - it’s confusing, never transparent, and no matter how careful you are, you never know what you’re going to walk away owing.

Waited 30 minutes before they even even checked my insurance. Proceeded to say they didn’t take my insurance when I called and doubled checked online. Very unprofessional.
