I went in to the store on Memorial Day May 27th 2024 to purchase a pair of glasses… Eddie was the optician who assisted me withe my purchase. I did not schedule an appointment for an eye exam with the in store Dr. as the cost for an eye exam there is $140.00. I told Eddie I would go have my eyes examined somewhere else for much less money within the next few days, he said he was go to put the order in using my current prescription and when I get my new prescription they would make new lenses at no additional cost. I told him not to do that, wait until I come back with my new prescription , which I did three days later… Eddie took my prescription and made a copy and said he would process and get my order out ASAP, he said it would be 10-14 days for my glasses to be ready for pickup. I called on June 8th just to check the status of my order, after being put on hold for a period of time the lady ( i don’t remember her name) came back on and told me my glasses were sent back to be remade… I was like remade?? It’s a brand new order with a new prescription there should be nothing to be remade!! And she said that they wouldn’t be ready until June 17th, which is way longer than the 10-14 days Eddie said it would take initially!!! I asked her if there was anyway the order could be expedited? She said the lab was closed until Monday June 10th but she worked at 11:30 that day and would call the lab and find out if anything could be done to expedite the order…
And she would call me on Monday after she found out something about my order. I ended up calling the store Monday afternoon since I had not heard from her and explained to the young lady who answered the phone what was going with my situation, she said Eddie was working but he was with a customer and she would have him call me… he never did. I called again on Tuesday June 11th, around 11:30 AM spoke to another young lady about my situation, she said Eddie was working but he was busy but she would have him call me… told her that’s what they told me yesterday and Eddie never called, she promised as soon as Eddie was do with the customer she would have him call me… at 3:45 pm with still no call back from Eddie, I called the store and canceled my order for my eye glasses and demanded a refund!!! The young lady was very apologetic but at that point it was too late!!
Very disappointed in how the lack of response was to my numerous calls and requests for a call back to find out why my order was mishandled! I’ve been a customer of Visionworks for many years and have never experienced such poor customer service!!!
Very unfortunate they lost a very good customer!
Don’t let Eddie handle your eyeglass needs he sucks !!!

I have been to this location 3 times in a month trying to get the prescription of my contacts correct. The Dr. and the ladies that assisted me were very patient and understanding as I was beginning to think there would be no solution. At one point, I actually broke down in tears just feeling so defeated that nothing would work. I was there for 2 hours trying all options and at no point did they stop trying to get it right for me! I just want to extend the biggest thank you to all of the staff! I am so grateful that you had the willingness to work with me!

Everyone was professional, courteous and friendly. From my check-in, exam and choosing my glasses. The area was neat, they greeted everyone that walked in and acknowledged. The customers were told they would be right with them which I really appreciate. I have a closer Vision Works but I prefer driving the extra distance to have my exam and glasses at this location on North Dale Mabry. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience.

Dr. Claudia Alonso and her assistant were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and treated me with professionalism. Dr. Alonso went above and beyond explaining everything to me.

Always choose this location. Staff and doctor are very nice. Usually busy but get you in and out quickly. Good choice of glasses.
