Ridiculous time management & customer service. I made an appointment for my mother with dementia and confirmed it with the studio. I explained to them her situation and how it's difficult to get her out of the house. I even received confirmation texts from them assuring me that my time was locked in to bring my mother. When we arrived on time, not only was our stylist NOT there, but she wouldn't be in all day and our appointment was basically all for nothing because no one could take us. They said, "You can just go next door and wait for the lady there to be free." How rude and disrespectful, especially since they knew my mother's situation. Don't waste your time.

so I just moved to the area, I was in desperate need of finding a new hair dresser. I spent two weeks doing research and came across this salon. Best decision I ever made was calling Melanee. She fit me into her schedule the same day that I called, she took her time doing my hair, she’s so precise, and makes sure you like what she’s doing during the process. Very professional and friendly, great conversation, great vibes, and just overall amazing. I will most definitely be coming back every time

So I traveled here from Atlanta to get my hair done before thanksgiving with my family and before my weekend trip out of town. My regular hair lady who’s done my hair for over 10+ years had to cancel on me because of an emergency. I looked up salons that do curly perms on black hair and this came up and I talked to Melanee on the phone on Saturday. She was very nice and said she’d do my hair on Monday at 11:00 am. I get a text with the booking confirmation for the wrong day and time (for a day I would not be in Tampa so I knew I never agreed to that), but just shrugged it off because maybe it had to look like that for booking/availability purposes. I come in at 10:55 today and wait and the lady who’s here asks why I am here and I said I have an appointment with Melanee. she asked if she was going to be in today and I said she told me she would. I waited 40 minutes for Melanee and the lady came back to me and said Melanee told her she’s not coming in today and not doing my hair but that she would do it for me. I then informed her that on the phone Melanee said only she can do perms and that’s why she booked my appointment herself instead of me doing it, but she ensured me she could which makes me very weary if the owner is telling me only she can do perms. Again I’m very weary with who does my hair especially when it comes to chemicals hence me going to the same beautician for 10+ years and traveling state lines to get my hair done. I sit in the chair and asked if she had carefree curl and she didn’t know what I was talking about (I told Melanee this is what I used and she assured me that could use it) and she instead showed me a relaxer and said it was much better. I said no I want my hair curly and she said she couldn’t do that so I ended up leaving as I should’ve done in the first place.

I went to Melanee’s for the first time today and got the best perm & trim I have had in forever. The shop was pretty, comfortable and clean. I loved how friendly and professional the staff was. Glad I found this place!

I really enjoyed my hair appointment. Melanee was very nice, welcoming, and humourous. The rest of the staff was also kind. I decided a while back I wanted to get starter locs for my hair so it could be in a protective style, and they gave a more than reasonable price. Would absolutely recommend coming here, and I hope to go back for a retwist. I think my hair turned out very good. Thank you so much Melanee's Hair Studio<3

Melanee was excellent when giving me my perm and even encouraged me to get a color rinse. I wanted to try something new anyways and the color turned out amazing.
