Be careful, this place seems a little money hungry.
I recently was trying to sell my car and the person looking to purchase it took it here to get inspected. We were told that there were thousands of dollars worth or repairs on the vehicle and the buyer declined to purchase the car.
Recently, there was a recall on the car and we took it to the dealership to get it fixed. We asked them to do an inspection on the vehicle, specifically to what we were told what was wrong with the vehicle, to a reasonable extent.
Here is what they had to say on it.
"The vehicle is in fantastic condition. The fluids were fine and oil was not bad (Vol-Car said the oil needed to be changed and was low). Tires were in great condition (Vol-Car said the vehicle needed new tires since the date on my tires were dated 2022, by the way less than 10k miles have been driven on them but the date says it all I guess). Windshield wipers do not need to be replaced (Vol-Car said they did). Filters needed to be replaced, only $100 (Vol-Car got that right, finally)."
Just to be fair to this, they said there was something "shaky" with one of the tires but couldn't determine what was wrong with it (expired tags so they couldn't DRIVE to determine what it was). Which could have been a reason the buyer didn't want to buy the car. With the inspection at the dealership, nothing was found "shaky" but, I do not know if the recall fixed that even if it was true.
Here is another thing that Vol-Car said needed to be taken care of. Timing belt needs to be changed at 120k Miles and other routine maintenance at 120K. My car has 108K miles on it. This place literally put routine maintenance on the vehicle inspection quote and said it needed to be taken care of immediately to the buyer. Also informed the buyer that unless they look deeper into this vehicle, there could be over 2K worth or repairs on the car.
What an absolute joke. Im glad there was a recall on this car and we got it looked at, because I thought I was going to have to sit on a car and put more money in it before selling it.
I hate company's who abuse the knowledge they have to try and get an extra dollar on people.

I am glad you literally verified everything that I said. Congratulations.
You say the oil was "dirty" and "low" not to the dealership.
You say front tires are "worn" and dated 2020 (my error) but not to the dealership.
You were right on the air filter, which I said you were.
I did say you called out the "shaky" suspension, which I did not put on you, fully.
I love how when doing the inspection, the water pump drive belt is now covered in oil.
I am not going to even continue on the routine maintenance that was expressed to a concern to get in taken care of.
I understand the inspection being in favor of the buyer, not to the point of making up a crazy story on what is needing to be done and telling the person that there is potentially over 2k worth of repairs. SO, thank you again for proving my point about your company.

Very honest and fair. I do a lot of my own work on my Volvo XC70 and unlike some shops they are very supportive of that, and even share some tips. Some things are beyond my ability, tools, or desire to do and Vol-Car performs these repairs for me at a fair price and excellent workmanship. They are the only place I will go for Volvo repairs. So far we have taken our son's 2010 C70 T5 to Vol-Car Tally twice this year. Each time Carol and her team have saved us several HUNDREDS of dollars. She has earned a loyal customer going forward. My A/C system recently started acting up in my Gen while on a trip. I had it checked and recharged while away. The recharge ran me just over 100 bucks and it barely lasted the way home. By the next morning it was just semi-cool air blowing from the vents. I have heard a lot of great things about this shop, so I decided to take my car for another check. Turns out it needed a whole new compressor which they diagnosed the mechanical issue for free. The friendly receptionist at the front desk provided a quote the same day and said it may take a day or two to complete the work. But, by noon the following day she called and said it was repaired and ready to go. Turns out that the parts were ordered overnight which I totally unexpected. Eric, the mechanic that worked on my Genny thoroughly explained everything involved in the fix. The cost was very reasonable for the work; especially if you know what OEM compressors can run. I hopped in the car yesterday and my A/C was back to totally chillin' . Happy-Happy-Happy ! My best advice, don't second guess taking your car/truck to this repair shop. They are very honest, fair and reasonable. Thank you Eric and Vol-car. My Genny thanks you too. I'll definitely be recommending you to family and friends, not just here on Google.
