We have been buying furniture here for 45 years, beginning with a Lazy
Boy rocker/recliner designated as my “ baby rocker”. We have purchased furniture for just about every room in our house from White’s Furniture.. sofas, loveseats, recliners, bedroom furniture and the now discontinued Jamison Mattresses. We’ve never had anything except a positive experience, from entering the store to exiting as happy, satisfied customers! The furniture here lasts a long time! We feel guilty letting pieces go as we update a little here and there! Mr. Arthur White is a true friend and honest businessman, and his son Lee was a young teenager when we met him. Now, he is the new “boss”, and we wish him the best. Our most recent salesperson was Martin… VERY knowledgeable and lets you LOOK, THINK, and DISCUSS, but is there quickly when you have questions. We are lifetime shoppers at White’s Furniture….thank you for making our Florida home so special!

Purchased a $2000.00 leather couch a year and a half ago. Also purchased a $200.00 additional warranty at the same time. An area of the leather has worn and faded. We are senior citizens so it’s definitely not due to abuse but to poor quality. We have tried to have this fixed by Whites especially since we thought we had an additional warranty. After many phone calls to the manufacturer and the store we are told they will not fix the problem. We are not covered for this type of repair ! I will never purchase anything from this store. They have very poor customer service and sell warranty’s that are useless. I would advise going elsewhere for purchases.

This rating is related to the Sales Manger
The sales ladies at White's Furniture and Accessories in Summerfield, Florida, were friendly, helpful, and professional. The BenchMaster seating, Elk Home furniture, Heritage Brands, Howard C. Miller Clocks and the lazy boy recliners, sofas, tables, love seats, and other furniture accessories are highly rated. It makes me sad to think I may not go back to White’s Furniture and Accessories if Steve, the Store manager, is in the store. When I arrived at the store, I was met by Steve. He asked if I needed help, and I told him I would like to talk to Cindy as I have worked with her before. Steve was rude and yelled across the store for her. I met with Cindy and she was kind and helped me choose the chair I wanted to buy. When we were doing the paperwork, I heard Steve rudely speak with another salesperson and treat her like she was a child. The sales lady seemed quite upset and went to the back room. When our salesperson asked him a question, he gritted his teeth, clenched his hand, and gave her the rudest response. She walked away, and he flung his arms up in the air like he was fed up. I then approached him and asked him a question about the fabric on a couch; he was not very nice and told me to do my homework. I have never been so appalled. When you go to a store, you expect the manager to understand the product he is selling. I observed his interaction with other customers and the staff at White’s Furniture and Accessories and could not believe that one person could treat his coworkers and the customers so poorly. The staff seemed to be walking on egg shells when he was around or interacted with them. I can guarantee that if I ever go back to White’s Furniture and Accessories in Summerfield, Florida, and see Steve, the store manager, on the premises, I will not go into the store as he does not follow the White’s Furniture and Accessories “Golden Rule” simply treating customers the way one would want to be treated. This should include treating his coworkers with respect and kindness. It is sad to say in today’s economy that one person can make or break a business.

Excellent store, great options and the staff were very helpful and friendly!! It would be great if they had a nice TV to watch the football game, we could have shopped longer and bought twice as much furniture!!!

We ordered a Lazy Boy Loveseat on May 16, 2023 and finally received it on October 23, 2023!! They never bothered to call us and every time we called they would give us the same story that apparently the factory was having trouble locating the same color leather to build the chair! They did provide two old loaners for us to use in the meantime! To say the least this experience was not worth the price of the loveseat! In all our years we have never had a company that did not try to get our repeat business and we will never shop there again or recommend them to anyone!

I will NEVER step foot in this store again. The sales lady Angela Henry was very pushy and unprofessional. Originally came into the business looking for a repair on a chair to a dining room set that we purchased off of Facebook, and the lady said she had bought the set from Whites. We were met at the door by Angela which stated that they had never sold, nor do they sell that furniture style / set and advised to contact some outside department. This was stated before she said that she had just moved to Florida 3 years prior, so how do you know in the history of the company that they never sold that particular set? We then started looking around as we are in the market for a Livingroom set, and two bedroom sets. We described the particular style of furniture we are interested in and was met with "well those colors are not Florida colors, they might work elsewhere outside of Florida, but here in Florida its all about the beach colors, whites and greys". I am sorry, my taste in furniture for my home and how I want it, does not warrant you stating what YOUR preference is. My home, my money, give me what I want, end of story. We found a nice LazyBoy couch and stated that we wanted it wrapped in real leather (only material the dogs wont touch, or destroy). Angela stated that its "expensive" and that for us we can afford to get it with the fabric. It was at that point that we stated to her that the cost was not an issue (mind you, all in cash btw) and that was what we wanted, end of story. She reluctantly got us leather samples to go through, we chose the one we wanted, all while she was giving HER opinion that we did not ask for. In the end she gave me a print out of the exact style, series, model number, ect and estimated the couch to cost $12k with leather. We will be going elsewhere to get our furniture and be requesting to get that set from the competitor. It is sad that this business lost out on possibly making $20-30k in furniture sales as we were looking to supply our entire house as we just moved here from California, and that we are very picky on the style, materials, and look of the furniture. We want stuff that is french style, old world. We even tried showing her a photo of our house and what we are looking for and she still didnt get it, or just disregarded us to give HER opinion which did not work on us as we are set in what we want. The other 1-2 star on here, all have very similar experinces.

We visited White's Furniture on a weekday in August 2023. We were basically allowed to look at furniture without being followed or constantly interrupted. We were asked at one point, if we had any questions. And to be totally fair, we were mulling over a set and did have a question. As such, the salesperson (Cindy), was very good to deal with.We did see a couple of items that we liked and are considering for purchase. But as of yet, we have not made a purchase. So I cannot comment on the purchase or delivery process. Only the pre-purchase experience. But there is a lot to be said for that.We found prices to be on the high side. Some pieces more than others. But the furniture did seem of decent quality. Prices in general seem high in the area. The question is what you get for the high prices. The pieces we are considering in White's, are over priced in my opinion. But they seem to be of better quality than some pieces that we have seen elsewhere. So there's the dilemma.I am not recommending or warning against White's. I'm only informing folks of our shopping experience without making a purchase. And for the most part, that was positive. Do with this review what you will. Buying furniture can be a long and tiring experience. Finding the right furniture can be worse. So being able to at least, shop in piece says a lot. That's where White's excelled for us.

We used to be a valued customer for Whites furniture. However, after witnessing how rude and arrogant the salesman was to my elderly mom, I do not recommend this store at all! He insulted my mom and thought he was amusing! You can take this as a criticism or perhaps, Whites could train their sales team to be courteous to their customers! Customers are what keep your business going. Incredibly discouraging experience, especially since we have bought furniture here before. I certainly don't recommend this store or the arrogant salesman we had to deal with.

I asked for a person who repairs recliners on Next Door. A neighbor recommended White’s Furniture. I called them (very nice receptionist) and the person who handles this is not available. She gave me phone number & I called a left message. Today, this lady called and required I present a receipt proving my purchase. Are you kidding me. I just want my recliner repaired. She asked 50 questions. I feel like I was being interrogated.?♂️ Ain’t America Great?
