If you care about your beloved family pet never patronize Southeast Veterinary Referral Center. They are unprofessional, disrespectful and have no business being in the business of caring for the pets we love.

The staff could not have been more loving and wonderful. From the kind receptionists, to the wonderful nurse, to the amazingly empathetic Dr Williams, we knew that Kyah was in the best hands possible.I helped my friend bring in her 18 year old kitty who had suddenly lost the ability to use her back legs. My friend was frantic and so worried about whether that day would be the last day she would spend with her beloved baby Kyah. All of the staff were quick, friendly, kind and so helpful. The doctor was thorough with her examination and even got down on the ground with my friend when she was crying and talked on her level to make sure that all her questions and needs were being addressed. At such a stressful moment, the staff were everything we could have wished for. We are utterly thankful for their kindness and professionalism.

Truly despicable service. I came in my with cat, who hadn’t been eating or drinking for days and was completely malnourished, unable to even walk straight and basically on deaths door. These heartless crooks decided to keep in him a back room for almost 3 hours without administering any aid whatsoever, not even a IV to get his fluids back up. They claimed he was “hanging out.” After this excruciating wait they came in with a quote of over 1000$ to just do the blood work, and an almost 300$ charge for the doctor “looking at him.” While they calculated how to pinch every penny they could from me without actually providing any aid, I decided to opt out of their “help” and seek a better alternative. Ended up going to ‘Gomara animal clinic’ instead right after that encounter and received actual help and a reasonable rate. Not to mention people who actually care how your pets are doing. It’s honestly horrifying how unbothered everyone working at THRIVE was. They look at you as numbers on a sheet and don’t care about the outcome. Steer clear and look for people who ACTUALLY CARE about your animals as much as you do.

From the time I made the frantic call that my sweet precious boy (cat) had taken his last 2 breaths to the time I picked up his ashes, the customer service that I received was nothing short of impeccable! Thank you all for putting him away nicely and the beautiful memorial items.

Came here on a Saturday evening with my cat, Jack, scared that he had a urinary blockage. When I arrived they immediately called for triage team and ran him to the back to be examined before taking any information from me. Staff were extremely friendly and caring. Waited for only a few minutes before they came out and informed me everything was okay with him and didn't charge me for the examination. Highly recommend!!

Came in as a transfer from another vet, my doctor called to advised them that we were coming and the treatment plan needed. We got there thinking it was going to be a quick transfer but I was very wrong. We waited 2hrs and still no one helped us so we ended up leaving. Do not go to this place!

My review is strictly based on their quick response to our glass eating emergency. They did speed my dog through, attended him rapidly and I spent under $200 when I was expecting at least triple that. They guided me through the next steps. And assured me they are there 24/7 should something arise...

We went here for my dog’s CCL repair surgery. We were referred by a family friend, and we felt extremely well taken care of by the whole office. The surgeon took a lot of time to go over her exam and the surgical procedure, including risks and what to expect for recovery. We also got updates before and after the procedure on the day of, and a full review of everything at pick-up. If you need emergency or surgical care for a pet, this place will take very good care of you!

Brought my pup here for diabetes management by Internal Medicine. Everyone was wonderful exclamation point. I’m so excited to work with Dr. Patrick. Andrew welcomed us and did our intake and he was so reassuring and positive. i’m glad our primary veterinarian referred us here.

We brought our 7 year old Boxer Theodore (Theo) in your be evaluated for a unique case for his age. Initially the presumptive diagnosis was probably a cancerous mass but my vet and I after much discussion decided to have a ultrasound performed. The ultrasound showed that it did not appear to be a mass but in fact a very unusual case of intesuseption. It was right before Christmas but Dr. Lin made time for him and performed a complicated surgery on her already packed surgical schedule. Her amazing care and surgical skill is second to none. The entire team from receptionist to the amazing Nurses and techs exceeded my expectations. I am an ER night shift Nurse and tried to be sensitive to not make to many phone calls to check in. I would make 1 call to the dayshift Nurse and 1 to the nighshift Nurse. They where always very detailed with his vital signs condition and plan of care. Theo recovered quickly and has no limitations other than a WD diet and monthly B12 injections suggested by both Dr. Greene(his primary vet) and Dr Lin.I write this as he is laying next to me on a rainy afternoon and I realize how precious this extra time is that I have with him. Thank you Dr Linand the entire SVRC team. It’s been three years since Theodore had his surgery with Dr. Lin and he is doing fantastic! He did develop an aural hematoma recently (from shaking his ears ears so much) and this time Dr. Silva performed a procedure on him the very same day. My experience was once again 5 stars!! The entire staff from reception, nursing and Dr Silva was terrific everyone took great care of Theo. He’s 10 now and still going strong!!Thank you guys for all you do!!!

service terrible! i just called because my dog is sick and needs an emergency surgery according to another vet that i just took her to and ive been trying to call and ask for financing options in other places because im specifically looking for a 24 facility since i’ve been told she’d need overnight care. i called not too long ago today and the lady on the phone was so rude. my family is worried about our dog but also about the cost. when i asked for an estimate over the phone, i was told it was going to be “a couple of dollars”. i hung up immediately. absolutely not.

I was referred to Southeast Veterinary Referral Center by my Chihuahuas vet to have an ultrasound and other diagnostics. I was told the price would be around $1,400.00 for all procedures. When I got there I was helped almost immediately, I was taken to an exam room by a technician named Cynthia. She asked a lot of questions about the symptoms my Luna had. She explained that my pet might not need the expensive procedures. She suggested other alternatives, which I will be following. I won't go into every detail, but she was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. The office staff were all just as great. I heard them interacting with other people who had brought their pets, and it was awesome to hear that they cared so much. Highly recommend!!!!

If your dog is in dire need of care, do NOT send them here. I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my beautiful 10 month old Bully because of their neglect and carelessness. My dog had a respiratory virus where she was super sick, had troubles breathing, and hadn’t drank water or eaten. As soon as I brought her in, the veterinarian looked at me in disgust and said “first of all, why is your dog so overweight?” Which was not true as she was a very strong and healthy bully- all muscle, no fat. My dog and I were waiting in the room for their care for over an hour until I opened up a credit card because they forced me to pay $3200 before care even took place. Even though it was an EMERGENCY. I was waiting and waiting, wondering why my dog was not being seen, only until my credit card was approved did they come see her. After leaving my dog in their care, they called me and hour and a half (around 7:30pm) after taking her in saying they finally gave her fluids. I called again around 10:30pm to hear updates, to learn her breathing had gotten worse. Then at 2:30am they called, bluntly asking, “So I’m just calling to ask, if you had to make a decision on Lila… what would that be.” I was completely confused and asked what they meant by “a decision”, and what decision I had to make for my dog, given they had no explanation for what they called for. After asking multiple times what that meant, they said “well, Lila went into cardiac arrest and passed away.” So there was no decision to make. I was left with a bill of $2800 for them to neglect my dog, and only give her an IV for treatment, which was given 3 hours after we entered the hospital. I’ve had to deal with the heartbreak of losing my daughter due to neglect and carelessness, and left with a new credit card of $2800 that I’ve had to struggle to pay for. I hope this never happens to anyone and their loved ones, and seeing their other reviews, they should be shut down.ALSO when I came to pick up her ashes, the people at the front desk (as I was crying) were cracking jokes behind the desk and couldn’t even act professional or sympathetic for 2 minutes while i painstakingly picked up my daughters remains. From the bottom of my heart, I hope these people find a different career where they never have to care for any other living beings. They are absolutely cruel. (First photo is a week prior vs when she went in for care)

I am very grateful for the professional and timely care my pet and I received during a recent trip to Southeast Veterinary Hospital. My dog is highly allergic to bees and was stung causing an emergency visit.I alerted the staff of my impending arrival; the details aptly recorded/communicated to those on staff. They were ready for us when we arrived: Brian quickly rush her off for care and returned shortly to update me on her status. He clearly and kindly advised next steps and answered my questions/concerns which put me at ease. Many thanks to you all at SVRC for expertly and adeptly tending to my dog's emergency. I would love to never have to return but if I do, I am glad I am not far from your accomplished facility.
