I got referred to this place by a friend.
I was going with an expectation of excellent knowledge, honesty and empathy from this service. Plus, of course I was hoping the pricing will be fair and less than the dealer and the experience more personal.
But what I got was the opposite of all of my expectations.
I had an unusual situation : My trunk got locked with the food inside the trunk of Mercedes SLK 300 and I went through multiple dealers and body shops - no luck.
I called these guys and someone spoke with me (very pleasant guy - one star goes to him). He told me they’ll definitely open the trunk and it will start from. $350 and around up to $690 or near that number. That was okay for me so I drove an hour to the place.
Then I spoke with Lester who was very ignorant, indifferent and cocker about the whole thing.
First of all he said the charge for just diagnostics will be $395 ! Almost a hundred higher than a dealer ?!! What’s the reason?! Then he said there is no estimate on the repair and he would not give me even a ballpark (“it could be 10000 for all I know “ he said - mind you, my car is old so I am definitely not planning on such a repair!). Just know - he didn’t even come out to look at the car!! He was completely in-considered to my problem and told me by the end of my discussion with him “You know what?! I don’t even want to take that repair anymore! I’m not feeling it! Go to the dealer!” . He then went out and opened the door for me it felt like to get rid of me faster… not sure if customer service is a part of this body shoot at all.
Well guys Dealer opened the trunk and I paid $400 for diagnostics and labor and they offered to fix the pick for $750 with the diagnostics included. I refused because I found a body shop cheaper and closer to me. Yet, I have to say that the experience at the coral gable dealership was WAY MORE PLEASANT than here.
Find else where to go if you want smb who cares and is ready to actually help you and give you a right estimate.

These guys are professional and well qualified Mercedes mechanics. I had an issue with my SUV where the transmission was not shifting properly and they diagnosed the issue down to a clogged up torque converter. They assisted me with a flush of the transmission fluid on a short notice and got my car up and running in no time. I highly recommend these military veterans.

Very expensive service, left my 1987 560sl for steering wheel hose change, fuel
injection cleaning service, 5k paid in full, agreed with what they charged w/o asking for discount, but still not having my service receipt after asking for it 3 times...will not go back, as for the price they charge at least a better customer service expected.

I have a very good feeling about Miami Benz and their team. Yesterday was my first experience with service and time will tell but I plan to return as future service needs arise. Beside the fact that MB provided a thorough explanation and detailed quote of what to expect, they were ready for the vehicle at the time scheduled and the vehicle was ready when promised, with no surprises. As many people know, that alone is commendable in the Miami auto service market. Also very important to me, the shop itself is very clean and well organized, including the office. To me that is a representation of how they treat vehicles as well. I grew-up in an automotive machine shop business and know what it takes to maintain such a clean and organized operation in an industry that is inherently and literally a dirty business. The management and tech's are courteous and welcoming and obviously have customer service and satisfaction at heart. Thanks Rueben and Lester.

Worked with Lester to overhaul my 1989 SL560. He did a thorough mechanical rebuild to help me make the car a daily driver. I couldn't be happier. Runs like it must have out of the factory! Excellent communication and you can tell he really has a passion for these cars. Always best to take your vehicle to an enthusiast!

I recently purchased a car, and am relatively new to the maintenances and care that comes with a long-term buy. Luckily, I chose the right place for service. Lester and Lester Jr. both guided me through the process, with professionalism and respect. I was even able to receive my car the same day of services. I will make sure to continue taking my auto-needs to Miami Benz. I cannot recommend them enough!
