“I have no problem with the Pharmacy itself. They've filled my prescriptions without giving me a bad attitude. But stay away from shopping there. I had the WORST experience trying to return a few items with the receipt with the somewhat young, blond, pudgy cashier & her dark-haired, also pudgy male sidekick who don't wear name tags. Unbelievably, they claimed they're the Store Manager when he's not there when I asked to speak to him. They were horribly rude & unprofessional, threatening to call the police when I went to the pharmacy to ask about the store manager. These two have no place working with the public. They're an embarrassment to the store with their unacceptable behavior. They really belong in a fast food place, only permitted to flipping burgers & staying away from people, especially customers!”

“It's as if they knew that their customers are human. An extraordinary, little store! Palm Avenue has always been one of the loveliest places in Sarasota, and this eclectic store retains a vibe -- friendly and classy, too. Much has changed over the decades since the Mira Mar Hotel was constructed here, back in the 1920s. During the hotel's glory days, it was a fav vacay destination for an American president. But mid-century saw Palm Avenue's decline. Even then, howev, the Mira Mar was the living, breathing (or maybe, at that time, just wheezing) embodiment of shabby chic, long b4 the term existed. When I was a teen, in the 1970s, I was enchanted by the hotel's by-then-hushed terraces -- dappled as they were in sunshine and shadow -- and the open architecture of what, at that time, were low-rent apartments. During those years, welfare recipients lived at the Mira Mar Hotel. Today, all that remains of it is a portion of the old hotel's Palm Avenue-facing facade. Meanwhile, a condo tower, under development for more than a decade already, promises residences priced at around $2 million. But even if u aren't a millionaire, Palm Avenue Express is likely to have what u require, including, for a few examples, chilled beer and wine, postcards, Advil, and Lord only knows what u may find on the shelves there. For an example, my darling daughter has a mane of unruly hair, and I found a box of big hair pins for her at the Palm Avenue Express. And when I stopped in there today, I found a bar of lemon-scented bath soap. This store is owned by the same fellers who own the adjacent Salon Forty-One. And on the sidewalk outside, small tables -- shaded by elaborate landscaping and bright-red umbrellas, which also protect against summer-afternoon rainstorms -- invite patrons to sit a spell.”

“My son had copied some 60 to 70 year old 8x10 photos for me. Some were OK, but some were just not acceptable. I was giving them as gifts to family who had requested the pictures, and some were just too badly copied to be able to send. I went down to the store myself and was lucky enough to meet Amber in the photo department. By the time Amber got done helping me at the machine I had MUCH better copies and was a very satisfied customer. She never dropped the ball on servicing other customers who came in either. She was in the photo shop alone and handled it all beautifully. She's a wonderful asset to your store.”

“this location sells incredibly tasty, tender, juicy, airy, cheese buns.For some reason this is the only 7-eleven in the area where you can buy this.The owner of the store (I believe that was the owner) said that no one buys it, and they have to throw it away. It's a pity! I would recommend trying this yummy. Oh, and by the way, the price of these buns seems to be a dollar a pair.By the way, the store is also cool.
