Rented a bike and chain kept coming off over and over again, I asked if they could just give me another one and they said they could fix it but chain still kept coming off several times.

Excellent service. We had a flat tire, and they came right out, literally within half an hr, changed out the tire tube, and we were on our way. Would recommend them on service alone!

We rented a crib through Bamboo bicycle company. We received confirmation of our order and was told the crib could be delivered up until 8pm on the day of arrival. At 5pm when we still didn’t have the crib, I started calling just to make sure it was still arriving. I called many times and left several voicemails but no one ever got back to me. The crib never arrived so we had to put our very active baby in bed for the first time which lead to a very stressful and sleepless first night. No one reached out to me the following morning despite receiving my multiple voicemails and I had to be the one to reach out first. There was no real apology and was just told someone was going to deliver it soon. The person delivering it didn’t even bother to ring the doorbell or knock — just dropped it on the front porch and left. If you’re going to have a drop off window of 8pm, there needs to be a way for customers to reach you and if a mistake happens, an apology goes a long way.

Incredibly rude people. They provide delivery and pickup for free. We wanted bikes sooner than they could deliver, so we went to pick them up ourselves and asked if they could then pick them up at the end of our stay. We were simply asking & they were so rude throughout the entire interaction. There is a way to respond respectfully and still stick to your policy, and they were not kind or respectful in any way.

We rented several bikes and items through them for spring break . Sometime between when we placed our order and when we visited rosemary they changed contracts with the company that actually fulfills the orders. First my order was lost. I understand transitions are hard and sometimes that happens... so We got that straightened out. But then 2 of my items were never delivered and despite calling bamboo, stopping by their shack at rosemary, calling rent gear here (original company that was supposed to fulfill), Dolce Vida (new contract company), and even Rosemary Cottages who is somehow affiliated with Bamboo bikes I have never been able to get my money refunded for the undelivered items. They all keep pointing the finger at each other. I would not recommend this rental company.

I rented a boy’s bike for my grandson over the weekend . I asked the man in charge,who waited on me, to deliver the bike to my house in Rosemary.He said they would only deliver if I had ordered the bike on line! I was standing there with credit card in hand, there were plenty of bikes that size, and he said they could only accept on-line deliveries!He finally, grudgingly relented and the bike was delivered a day after I had ordered it.

If I could give 0 stars, I most definitely would. From the time we got there till the time we left, the workers were EXTREMELY rude. When we left one of the bikes was making an annoying squeaky sound so we went back and when we asked about it, the guy didn’t say a word to me, he just took the bike out of my hands. Not to mention on both of the times we went, we were overly friendly. I do not recommend this place at all, none of these people belong working in customer service.

Surf camp-failure. Confirmation numbers do not mean they will actually deliver. After-appointment-excuses do not offset written communications. Captive market means they can fail with little consequence to vacationers who cannot reclaim lost opportunities. Avoid.

The employees are all very rude here. Out of 4 employees that we dealt with not one was friendly. And the guy helping us with the bikes was the worst. The bikes are rusty and old. We will be renting from another company next time.

I rented a small bike with training wheels for our little girl - it was her first time riding a bike. Unfortunately, the bike we received had rickety training wheels that made it exceedingly difficult to pedal, leaving our little girl (6) very frustrated. I had mentioned at the shop when I got it that the wheels were loose, but the guy said that’s the way they were supposed to be and didn’t need to be tightened - a blatant lie. Well, after a couple frustrating and difficult hours of pedaling far, I had to tie the bike to the trailer and haul her in the bike trailer. I returned the bike and they were kind enough to replace it with a new one, which she used for an hour or so. (Hence the 2 stars, not 1).When I went to return it, I asked to keep the new bike to practice until the next day as a way to make up for having given us a terrible bike for the majority of the day. This was not approved and was told they’d have to charge me. Though I understand their situation, I was left disappointed that no effort was really made to understand or to provide any customer service.

Tried to rent 2 kayaks through their website; paid and confirmed weeks in advance of our vacation at Rosemary Beach. Total fail by Bamboo!! Never provided the kayaks that I rented; no courtesy call or email about no show; and then TERRIBLE customer service when attempting to process a refund. Worst customer experience in all of 30A. Highly recommend renting elsewhere.

If I could give them zero stars I would! We were a party of 8; 4 couples and there was a problem for 3 of the 4 couples. The pedal on one bike quit working as we were riding, the bike locks for another couple didn’t work and the seat actually broke off my husbands bike because it was so rusty! He had to ride the last 2 miles back to the shop standing up!!!! The only response we got from the staff was “ya I’ve been telling them we need new equipment!”There are many places along 30a to rent bikes that aren’t rusted piles of junk!
