It's pretty much a flea market now and all the stores are hot and musty. It's cool to see something decay right before your ?

There's only a handful of stores still open I'm not sure how they keep the doors open. I go there to walk and I'm thankful for them. Today however it was so hot inside I had to leave. I hope this is AC problems and not a sign of no AC in the future.

I was so sad! They are trying so hard to build up business again but since I was there 4 months ago, my recent visit was a huge letdown. Most of the new businesses that went in are already gone.
They need to serve real food, alcohol & have live music. At least beer & wine.
A real Pizza/Italian joint. A sports bar themed atmosphere restaurant like Beef O'Brady's.
A little Pub for people who want to hang out while their friends & spouses shop.
An Irish pub/restaurant.
How about a Five Below?
Skechers outlet?
A real Craft Store?
Bring back Bath & Body Works.
How about a Ryobi Outlet Store?
There's nothing there to draw people in.
And why doesn't Dillard's & Best Buy open up into the mall anymore?
They'd get more business too.
Such a shame. I know people shop online now but if there was decent food & better shops maybe people would come in.

This place is a ghost town. Hardly any stores. Maybe 5 or 6 total.

This mall is basically an indoor flea market now but with less vendors.

Used to take my kid here to play in the little play area when she was a toddler.

A classic small town shopping mall which is sadly a shadow of what it probably once was. Went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty dead. The food court had 3 or 4 places open to get food. The Dillard's and best buy are connected to mall but aren't accessible from the inside mall side. A handful of stores. Great for nostalgia but that's about it. The harold seltzers steakhouse connected to it was temporarily closed.

This was a nice mall still until the guy who runs the second hand store came in. He plays or should I say blast hip hop out of his store. You can hear practically all through the mall. Extremely annoying and I won't be back.

It's been like having to watch a loved one die slowly for 15 years straight. This mall was so busy when I was a kid in the '90s, not a single store vacancy, crowds that managed to exceed the density of a theme park interior at times even. It continued to be modestly busy into the 2000s with at least 85% storefronts occupied and full mall amenities. In 2009-10 during the first 21st century retail apocalypse, this place started to die, and it's been a slow and miserable death with all kinds of false hope. When the apartments opened behind the mall, I and many thought, "The residents will probably flock to the mall and revitalize it." Where are they supposed to shop? You can only get so much popcorn and Spencer's Gift cheap plastic bongs before you run out of reasons to come here.
There was some hope in 2022-23 when stores looked like they were about to be occupied again, and even the food court started to return. Going back for a mall walk today, I see now that half the new places who opened are already gone again, and now even longtime tenets like Yancy's and Shoe Dept. Encore are moved out (the latter by the end of this week, 06/09/24). This mall has been useful to me for three things: liminal photography, experiencing the mallsoft aesthetic of vaporwave, and indoor air-conditioned walking space for the summer. All great things, but again, very limited to the point where we have to ask ourselves, when is it all gonna end? I'm glad that the mall is still employing some folks, but we really need a grand finale to this seeming never-ending saga known as Gulf View Square Mall. I'll always love this place and probably visit it a few times a year just to see what's going on, but man oh man, if you're a longtime resident of Pasco County, it hurts to go in there and see the state of it. You'd almost rather see it put out of its misery and torn down entirely than have it continue on life support like it is. I'd prefer it rebound, relapse and survive. C'mon Gulf View! Now or never!

Suffering like the rest of malls across the country. But still offer a lot.

They should have an IKEA over there, just an idea. You investors should think about it. It is absolutely dead right now. Looks like a ghost town. You guys should do something better for the citizens of Pasco County area.
