Unfortunately there selection of birdseed is somewhat limited and it's more expensive than alternative outlets. That said, the store is spacious, clean and, like it's competitor Petsmart, offers a wide variety of high end brand dog and cat food. I, personally, dislike watching critters meant to fly, swim, crawl restrained in cages, etc.

They recently groomed our eight-month-old terrier mix Hank who shall we say it's a little spirited lol they did an amazing job he was groomed and haircut so well the people there are friendly and informative I cannot say enough I feel so safe taking my four-legged friends thank you thanks Mom thank you Bella in Port Charlotte you're the best see you soon ts HANKS Mom

Joseph did a fantastic job grooming my new puppy, Rusty,. I wasn't sure how it would go since he's only 13 weeks old. I would strongly recommend Joseph for your dog grooming needs

The port charlotte Fl, grooming department is horrible. I’ve tried three times to have my dog groomed and each time it’s the same outcome. Chancel appointments on short notice, also asking for rabies shot records and i have gave them multiple times. I’m not sure what they are doing with the rabies records. I gave instructions on how we wanted our dog cut and they just know 1 cut, cut it all off. We have a Goodendoodle that looks like I shaved him at home. $112 Petco price that looks like $10 cut. The first two pics is how he should look, and the last few pics are what Petco did to him. We’re changing locations to Venice Petco and hope for the best. Don’t take any Chances with the grooming department.

I definitely don't recommend getting your dog groomed at this location. I told them multiple times that my yorkie pup was not even 6 months old yet and this is his first grooming so of course he wasn't going to be the most cooperative. And from what I was told when I made the appointment he was not going to get shaved because it's his first time. Well they ended up shaving him. And then when I picked him up the girl was complaining about how bad my dog was and stated they didn't know it was his first time. I am assuming she did not treat my dog too well because of the way she was speaking about him. He also now has severe anxiety which he never had before this.

I ordered online for in store pick up, one.of the items I really needed was in stock with multiple on the floor, yet it was canceled and refunded off my pick up anyways. The manager was at least nice enough to take a percent off when I then had to buy it in store because they wrongfully rejected the item off my pick up. Will not be doing online pick up with this location ever again.

Bought a snail from them, I have an aquarium with plenty of snails(same type). Acclimated it properly, and it randomly died. This is something that happens sometimes with fish. I did not have a receipt but the guy I bought the snail from could easily have said I bought it within the week as I have bought multiple fish from him.Instead of them replacing the snail that I bought I was hung up on by the guy on the phone with a power complex. This happened at 1:40 PM // 11 27/2021, solid customer service Petco!

My 9 year old dog started showing signs of arthritis, so I went to Petco, since they had arthritis meds in stock vs. (according to Google) that other pet store that only had it advertised. Devann in the Port Charlotte, FL store was knowledgeable and of great assistance in the finding and choosing of one. She did better than she may have thought. The next afternoon my Lola was getting around much better and more enthusiastic. Thank you, Devann.

I would give 0 stars to Petco Grooming if I could. My dog has been going to a different Petco location for nail trims almost weekly/bi-weekly for around 2 years and several others over the last 8 years. I moved and went to this Petco location for the first time today. They refused to trim his nails because he is on a pain med, one that he has been on for 5+ years. This is the first and only groomer to refuse to work with him - no questions, no talking to the other Petco location about their experience with him, nothing; just flat out refusal. It's appalling and disgusting that you're going to turn away a dog that's 15 years old because he's on a pain med and no other reason but that. I'd like to see every one of their staff stay off all pain meds when they are 80+ years old. I bet they can't. Almost all dogs of this age are on pain meds, so if yours is, avoid this disgusting place that will discriminate against old dogs.

My family my dog and I all love this place. Our dog Chance has participated and graduated in the level 1 training program for dogs. She did a wonderful job with Chance was an amazing trainer.. We buy our pet treats here and chew toys. We also get our dog groomed here bi monthly and Joni, Chances' groomer always does a wonderful job. Even though my dog can be feisty sometimes she still manages to get him cut perfectly. Thank you Joni for your hard work, attentiveness and caring for and Grooming our dog son Chance. The only issue we ever encountered is there not able to cut my dog's nails due to his feisty unrelenting manner. But Joni still gives it her all and does a fantastic job. I would totally recommend Petco for all your needs especially the training and grooming services. Next up level two dog training

Went there and the first time they couldn’t finish my dogs cut so Elizabeth told me to bring him the following day at no charge, my husband loved the way she shaped his face, so I booked a second appointment with Elizabeth online upon arrival she told me that Joseph had the appointment and I told her that o had booked it with her and I actually screen shot the booking she said something to her coworker and said she would take care of him. Like 35 minutes passed and she called so that I could pick him up, she said that he tried biting her and she will not finish the cut so she wouldn’t charge me nothing and then she said to never bring him back to her location. I’m not sure if they could do that, but I’m not going to take him there ever again not because Elizabeth said so but because this the worst customer service. I’m pretty sure that a lot of other dogs have reacted like this my dog wouldn’t be the first or the last. Know how to choose you Profession.

Tough to score this place because one employee (Joni) was late and mean! But our groomer Joseph was incredibly wonderful. Wish I could give him a 10 and her a 1. Pay attention Petco!!!!
