Where do I begin…. First I need to give a major shout out to the girl who works at the front desk. I was referred to this vet by some people on Facebook, but her compassion and professionalism on the phone was what made all the difference for me. They were able to take me in on a fully booked Saturday and as I watched patient after patient go in, I saw with my own eyes how much everyone who works here cares for your pets like their own. From the vet techs (excuse me if I don’t know the correct terminology), to the nurses to the doctor.. Just absolutely compassionate and caring souls. Such a happy and caring environment all around. It even smells good in there which left me in shock because usually vets smell like.. well vets… lol. I left a very feral community cat there on a Saturday and called in Monday morning for an update on how he did over the weekend before the surgery was to take place. They told me they gave him his own exam room and dimmed the lights to make sure he felt safe away from other cats (are you kidding me, I love them) but that he was doing good and ate a lot. Afterwards, the doctor sat down with my neighbor who went to go pick him up, someone they had never met, and explained the entire X-ray to her. When I say they went above and beyond, I’m not exaggerating. The people who recommended them to me on Facebook had nothing but positive things to say and now I have nothing but positive things to say. Thank you so much for your hard work Dr. Melgey. I truly appreciate you. I appreciate your compassion during my visit and the love you have for animals. Thank you to everyone who works there, from the bottom of my heart.

The process to have the surgery for my dog it was little bit long, but it was really great, the girls working there are kind and nice, the surgery was a success, I really like this place, thank you !!

I've found the absolute gem of animal clinics!
Seriously, they treat every furry friend like they're family. The office crew, especially the manager (Alyssa), are top-notch—always on the ball and making sure everything runs smooth as silk.
They're not just affordable and squeaky clean, but they handle tough news with grace and always leave you feeling uplifted.
Yeah, I drive a bit to get there, but it's worth every mile to know my pets are getting superstar treatment.
I rave about this place to EVERYONE—it's where miracles happen for pets in need! Dr. Melgey is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After a week - Will get you to pay for another vet visit just to give the same medicine they already gave my dog !! Rude and dishonest front desk person as she change her story after I ask to speak to manager. Manager no customer awareness as she took the front desk side.not clean and a rip off. I am going to report this place as I never had to do this with a vet after they didn't even fix the first problem. I switch to them because it was closer but looks like they just want money and care nothing about the animal. They don't even freaking call to check on the dog - I usually don't mind paying but don't give me the impression that you only care about money ! Good thing I know a few people in south Florida in this business. I will make sure I bring this to their awareness. Also never have available appointments and don't return calls or answer anything online.

Wonderful vet! My Doberman got nurtured here two weeks ago. Both the vet and his staff were so kind and lovely. We spoke to the vet about a separate issue and he did not try to sell us tests or medications like other vets in the area do. We felt welcomed and will be returning!

Emergency surgery on a Saturday is not fun. The friendly and professional staff at Crystal Lake managed to ease our stress. Kitty needed surgery. I believe dr. Melgey answered all our questions and was very patient but firm in his decision. It was the right decision to save my son's cat. Now Cheeto the orange kitty is back to normal.

I've been coming here since 2015 or so. Dr. Melgey and his staff have always been top notch, friendly and honest. He doesn't try to upsell you things and when it comes to elderly pets, he had been honest about what expectations I should have as they get sick from old age. He was also able to find what was wrong with my old cat when other vets couldn't find it, even going as far as suggesting open surgery, when all he had was Chronic Kidney Failure due to old age. Highly recommended and I send anyone I know over there for first or second opinions.

Had my dog in for a tapeworm tablet and a stamp on her European passport as I’m a tourist here in Florida.
The secretary told me it was ok to do it over the phone and that the price would be $60 which I found reasonable considering that a tapeworm treatment is (should be cheap).
At the clinic I had the news that the vet COULD NOT stamp and sign on my dogs passport because of the regulations by USDA. What the actual point in having a passport for vaccines that allow me back to EU then???
So after calling TAP airlines, I was told that it was ok to have a covering letter with date, stamp and veterinarian’s signature and obviously the description of the medication.
While I was still on the phone showing the requirements for entry, the vet in charge came with a syringe with something inside ready to apply it on my dog not giving me even the time to ask why it was not a tablet or price or to see the actual bottle of the medication. Basically it could be anything being injected in my dog. I was getting really ready to escalate the situation but doing that 24 hours prior to my flight would only cause more unwanted stress.
At the end, the bill came as $125, like that.
I see that they truly take advantage in situations where the owner and the pet are in risk or something important. I was in their hands and that is not a good lace to be specially when travelling. I would avoid their services if possible.

We have been bringing our dogs here since the '80s! It has continued to be an outstanding facility throughout the years and even with a change in ownership years ago. Their commitment to patients (human & animal) is unwavering in the pursuit of animal health care. I wouldn't go anywhere else!! Dr Melgey is kind, patient, honest, transparent, and wants nothing but the best for the patients he treats. And the rest of the staff upholds his same beliefs & values - it doesn't matter who is working or what you need, they will go above & beyond and exceed expectations.
