“I’d like to recognize & thank Juan Carlos Brito. I had visited this branch to close an account that I opened in 1984. I was upset that I was being charged $10 monthly maintenance fees for an account that had been dormant for the past year with a balance less than $300. He explained to me if I made one minimum deposit of 1 cent per year, he could waive those fees and encouraged me to keep it open. He explained that an account in good standing of 40 years has financial clout especially when needing a loan. I agreed and decided to keep it open and he credited my account $30 from those fees and I kept it opened. I had multiple car loans over the years at this CU and it made good sense. I ordered the currency online for delivery and received an email a few days later saying it was ready for pickup. Although there was a bit of a wait for a teller, the person who helped me (I believe their name was Annette) was a GEM. So thorough and kind. They made sure to follow all procedures and recommended I count the currency and check it against my official receipt before leaving.
