I was wanting to open an account with Navy Federal until it just so happened I was shown a facebook account of the employee that was helping me. Only to see posts of illegal drugs (selling) on this employee’s account. I do not care what a person does with their life but I hate to think navy federal condones this kind of illegal activity from their employees. I did reach out to them only to be told to contact the police. They did not care that the cops can’t do anything if they do not see it in person. They did not want to know which employee or see the posts. Therefore, it’s not an issue with Navy Federal. Maybe I’m crazy but it doesn’t sit well with me that someone who deals drugs has access to my money, my assets, and financial information. But that’s just me.

I opened my account nearly a month ago after being with Wellsfargo for 20 years. I walked in AFTER THE 4TH TIME and couldn't get help again. It's always a "45 minute" wait. Lole they have been schooled on how to say those exact words.Now mind you, there were 4 desks. One with guests and three desks empty of guest, but associates were there, and no one waiting in the lobby.I told the hostess I was done. This is not customer service. Then I asked her what I needed to do to close my account. She looked at me and said "you have to wait 45 minutes for one of our representatives" I think she rather enjoyed saying that. ?I went to the teller and told them I wanted all my money. I was going back to Wellsfargo. I can say, WF never made me wait this long. Even when others were in the lobby before me.The hostess went to a room behind the teller then walked out and told the teller she had permission to close my account.I have waited 2 weeks to post this because I wanted to calm down. Strange how all thoae feelings welled right back up!

Samantha helped me get my account straightened out when Cox Communications took a double payment from my account. Navy Federal went the extra mile for me when most banking systems wouldn't. I appreciate it very much.

Lashawn is one of the rudest employees I’ve ever encountered at a Navy Federal. Going to move my money and direct deposits over to USAA.

2+ years ago I would have given NFCU 4.5 stars but since COVID they quickly became the worst in customer service. Does anyone who works for NFCU ever try to use the automated phone system? Obviously not. Its a joke. Selection to nowhere. Hold times are ridiculous. I've spend hours on hold with little to no satisfaction in the end. Apparently my business is not important to them anymore. Ive been a member for 49 years. Thats ok, there are plenty of other banks out there who want to profit from my money and offer better customer service.

I've been a member over 30 years and recently applied for a HELOC. The first 3 weeks proceeded as normal- some back and forth, per usual, and a closing date was set. Then there was a calculation error on NFCUs part forcing a change to the loan amount but I was assured the loan would close "in a few days." Its been 4 weeks since then with only a single email communication from NFOC following several calls and emails from me asking for any updates. The email simply said the loan "may still be in the review stage."We are now 7 week in and still have no word on the status of the HELOC. I would strongly recommend NOT using NFCU for loans considering the risk this experience represents.

Deposited my check into my account I got from work and they said they have to verify the check is legit? It's me in person, I had my card and other forms of identification that said I'm the owner of the account, I had the check and they took it and it went through the whole machine or whatever they put it in. But it's not good enough to put it into my account right then? I don't understand at all, worst idea I've ever heard of. I got bills, work related purchases, gas, and food above everything to pay for and I have to wait 1-2 business days to get my money? Navy federal doesn't understand that sometimes people can't wait for there money! And they deposited $225 into my account while I wait, that doesn't scratch the surface of what I have to pay for and I'm negative now so I didn't lose any of my essentials. Switching banks as soon as my check goes through whenever that may be. Worst bank I've heard of or been with. I do not recommend this bank to anyone.

The employees at Navy Federal both locations are customer oriented. They know what to do and when to do it. Each and every one of them always go the extra mile. The customer service department is always included. I love this bankI

The only reason why I didn’t give the bank five stars was because if you use your red debit on a Friday the transactions won’t clear till five days later.
