While my brief experience here was better than Avis, I was ultimately not helped and my business was not wanted.
With the recent flooding and Avis cancelling my reservation on the day of, I went to reserve a car like 15 min before I showed up at this Hertz location. This might be out of their power, but people shouldn’t be able
to make a reservation if they are sold out.
I arrive to the location and there was one employee present (woman with blonde hair) helping another customer. I was not greeted or told she will be right with me. After maybe 10 min the woman goes to show the customer his car. THE CUSTOMER HIMSELF then greets me, which prompts the woman to finally greet me and say she will be right with me.
Once it is my turn I am told they are sold out. The only help I was offered was to maybe come back in the afternoon and see if any cars have been returned. I was not offered any apology for any inconvenience. The woman did not go above and beyond to help me and did not act as if my business was of value. At the very least she could offer to call me if a car becomes available or look to see if any would be returned that day, or call around to other Hertz locations.
Better than my experience at Avis, but customer service could use some work. I would probably not return to this location or recommend this location.

Seems like my review was deleted, so I'll gladly leave it again. If I could leave 0 stars for this particular location, I would. I returned my rental car (which was paid for by my car insurance due to an auto accident) well over three weeks ago and I've yet to receive my security deposit which is supposed to be reimbursed once the car is returned. This is the second time I've rented a car here and the second time I've faced this issue.
I also noticed additional charges to my account which were from Hertz, though out of state. When I called the Hertz where I rented my car from, I spoke to a woman by the name of Sigrid who immediately greeted me with attitude when I tried to find out what these additional charges were. She responded with, and I quote, "yea, I see the charges but I don't know what they're for." Even if that's the case, why would you say that to a customer? When I asked to speak with the manager for clarification she responded with, "he's just going to tell you the same thing."
Stay away from this location and take your hard earned money elsewhere. And to Sigrid, girl, if you hate your job..go work somewhere else instead of taking your frustrations out on customers who have no role in your current state of misery. Respectfully, y'all suck.
** the only addendum I'd like to make on my previous rating was the employee by the name of Justin was EXTREMELY helpful and polite with helping me register for my car.**

Severely disappointed in my rental experience at this location. The location lacks proper management to be successful. SIGRID the employee that assisted me is in need of an improvement plan for customer service. After a vehicle has had documented damage they will still try to claim you did the damage even when given proof that the damage was prior. Until this location is properly staffed and has proper oversight from management I would seek renting from a different location. I hate to leave a negative review when employees are doing the best they can but aren't given the proper tools to succeed. Better training will would help this location a lot.

The first car provided to me was dirty, needed the oil changed and had a very bad mechanical issue. When I went back to the agent and told her she didn’t want to drive the car and lied to me that she drove it. I had a cross country trip with my family and she wasn’t concerned with my families safety. It wasn’t until the next day and I spoke with a supervisor (at another Hertz rental next to MIA) that I had the car replaced. It delayed my trip by a day and half and the original agent only called me when the supervisor was informed of her lack of concern for our safety. Terrible service.

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. I will NEVER rent from Hertz again. It’s been such a bad experience from the moment I picked up the first car that didn’t charge to the second car which was infested with ROACHES to the current situation of dealing with a refund for a cancelled reservation over a month ago. I have spoken with multiple people and no one has done anything to resolve the issue so instead of quietly dealing with it as I had planned to do I figured I’d warn you all what you’re in for if you rent with hertz and any hiccups arise. Also, Sigrid from this location seems like she would be helpful but she was the first one to lie about my cancelled reservation and the refund I’d receive in 7-10days- she never cancelled as she had told me when she rebooked another reservation. STAY AWAY.

I love this place. Always comes thru for me. There is a young man with dark brown skin and close cut hair that is SOOO efficient. Wish I knew his name. Happy I have them to call in an ER.

The Hertz in Pembroke Pines and 158 Ave is the best rent a car I have used.They are very professional and friendly. The team offer the best service possible and enssure the cars are in optimal condition.Sigried is the best rep! attentive, polite, and professional.Very happy with this company.
