Clean, friendly, loads of activities from children's through Seniors. We're blessed to have such a wonderful Y in our neighborhood. My daughter recently visited from TX and thoroughly enjoyed this locations amenities, including childcare & plenty of all types of treadmills.
Watching our local fire department teams workouts is a fun bonus.

My personal experience with this specific YMCA was not a good one. I was in the process of being hired and I have worked with this organization at other locations with great recommendations from other directors and I've never experienced a management team that is unaware of their own policies. They told me after putting me through the process that they did not accept my certification needed for the position. This process took over a month, so I wish that this was brought to the table beforehand rather than telling me at the end. I had to go through multiple interviews, drive to locations they demanded, took a 3-4 hour training course at home on the computer that was told that would be ''paid'' for and it was unpaid. In return of bringing this to their attention, I received an email of disrespectful words due to me bringing this to light. I hope this brings about solutions for this branch so that it does not happen to others who may find themselves in my shoes applying here in the future.

I truly can't say enough great things about this Y. Starting from the staff, to the instructors, the volunteers, and the cleaning crews, everybody is phenomenal. Everybody is nice, friendly and very helpful plus they always have a smile on their face. I highly recommend to all my family and friends, and anyone looking for the best Y around, it's the Only place to workout.

Our neighborhood Y, John Geigle in Pinellas County, is a well-organized, tidy, broad-based facility that offers a wide variety of activities, both social and athletic, to a diverse population age-wise. We were welcomed warmly by the friendly and very competent staff and immediately felt right at home. Neither of us had been anywhere near a gym in decades, but the non-threatening atmosphere quickly took away our apprehensions. We both are working with personal trainers through the Loyalty Program, providing support, structure, coaching and also the indepence to challenge ourselves to come to work out and grow on our own. One excellent offering is the Smart Start Program, which gives new members three one-hour sessions with a professional staff member to evaluate goals, provide introductions to the variety of equipment available, and most importantly, train and teach safe techniques to insure the best possible outcome and avoid injury. Each day we come to the Geigle facility we take a moment to reflect on how grateful we are to have this super facility and incredible staff literally a mile from our home.
