I’m in love again!……..with my hair.
After a frustrating day of trying to find an open salon that would see me right away I made one last call to Sydney Salon right before closing. Anika agreed to see me and I am very happy that she did. She understood what I was looking for and gave me the perfect haircut for my type of hair. Anila’s professionalism , knowledge and passion for her craft is evident. It’s been one week and I’m still saying “I love my hair!” Thank you Anila.!

They got my color all wrong which I wished they would have just said they didn't have the color instead of going through with the wrong color. The owner is very aggressive when you don't agree with her (funny enough most of the negative reviews refer to her behavior) saying that what I was asking was impossible in one sitting and that the color I wanted wasn't real. I had this color done before and it lasted 2-3 months before needing to reapply color to it done before at my previous salon, sadly my stylist left the area so Im stuck on the journey of finding a new salon. But I was just really shocked on how a client wants were dismissed. I'm giving them 2 stars as their hair cutting skills are actually really good. I was very impressed, and if it wasn't for the color mishap I would have stayed with the salon. Just find it odd that they see it as okay to give a client something they didn't ask for and charge them for the color job when it's a color they picked out not the client. And then wants to charge the client for the color service to repair their mistake. I feel bad for my stylist as I feel that she knew what I wanted and had a feeling this outcome would happen but she was stuck following the instruction of the manager. I rather not call out names but thank you for trying to fix the scenario, I did like that blowout you gave me and I'm sorry it didn't work out.

New to the area and in need of some hair TLC. A friend recommended Jess. From Leighann greeting me when I walked it too early for my 10am appt to Michelle’s hand massage during my shampoo. It was all just, EASY.Zero judgement environment where bright colors are worn instead of drab black. I really appreciate the complete explanation of what services I was getting and most importantly a level of genuine care I experienced. Made appt on the phone for consultation with Anila today. I arrived on time, and sat for 20 minutes. Anila, whom I've never met, came to the desk to answer a phone call and totally ignored me - the only client sitting on her couch! She finished her phone call and scurried away. To ignore a potential client after you've personally made the appt is so ridiculously rude and disrespectful. MY time is important too, and the treatment I received is shameful. At minimum, acknowledge me and say "I'm running late" or whatever. BTW... I heard you tell the old rich lady in the pink and white who showed up after me "I scheduled you because I didn't think she'd show up". Then you took her back to attend her. Why not just tell me about a conflict? So unprofessional!! People, unless you enjoy being treated like this, do not patronize this place. They do not deserve your business.
