I been getting my hair done at Ulta for 3 years now and I’ve never had a bad experience until now. I made an appointment with Emily B and as soon as I walked to the front desk at the hair salon she made a slick comment like “Go ahead and clock me out” when she saw me. When I sat in the chair she already had an attitude and said “What is it that you want” in a nasty tone. Before I could even show a picture reference she grab my hair and said “is this colored hair” & rolled her eyes. I began to talk about my hair history and she told me that “Your not going to go that light today and I don’t have the time for that” if she would stop cutting me off every time I tried to talk she would know that I would have been satisfied with however light she could reach.As someone who works in five star hospitality company. We’re trained to have high customer service standards and I can I say that she does not have it. There are proper ways to address and communicate with clients and she failed to do so.I’m not saying this so people don’t book with her but to bring to someone’s attention that she needs to be checked.

Being that Im a regular customer at sephora and stopped by Ulta to try something new I was very disappointed and humiliated for it to be my first time here . My mother and I weren’t expecting to be treated the way we were by an arrogant employee named Lisa. She was very demanding , disrespectful , and seemed discriminating towards us who are people of color , willing to spend money . She approached us and was upset about us opening one of the testers and basically removed it from my hands. I originally went in looking forward to opening an account being that I was interested in some of your products but after my encounter I won’t be visiting ulta anymore. This isn’t a place you want to spend your money when you’re getting treated this way by an employee. If you’re so miserable and passive aggressive you shouldn’t be working a customer service job. I hope management does as they should with this and penalize her for such behavior. DO NOT shop here or allow Lisa to treat you as such !

I made a purchase at Ulta using a $50 gift card and the remainder on my credit card. I went the next day to make 2 returns and the cashier said, “It’s going back on your visa”. She did not say the last 4 digits or even ask if that was okay. There was a long line and maybe she was in a rush, but still no excuse.My refund was placed back on a gift card that was used entirely and thrown away. I was advised to call Ulta’s customer service. I had gone back and forth via email with customer service and I have to say… they were the most incompetent people I’ve ever spoken with. I was passed from person to person, seems I had to explain myself continuously, and I was told by multiple people to contact the company of where I purchased my gift card. I felt like I had to put so much effort into getting $20 back when none of this was my fault, but the cashiers. All this to say, I will never shop at Ulta ever again.

Associates (checkout staff) are always sweet and very accommodating! Unfortunately, management ruined the experience for me today. Evidently there are 3 managers named Alex and 1 of them was really unprofessional this morning for absolutely no reason. I hope the mean Alex gets better sleep tonight and wakes up on the right side of the bed tomorrow!

Merrisa in the salon did such a great job on my partial balayage, root tap & olaplex treatment! She was super sweet and took her time. 10/10. I will be going back to her! So happy to have found a stylist that is willing to hear me out and get my hair where I want it to be without overcharging :) Thank you!
