Purchased a $900 Sears Kenmore dishwasher just over one year ago and it suddenly died. Paid $100 for service diagnosis and was told it would cost $800 to repair this almost brand new appliance. I told the service tech I would be happy to pay the $800 if he could push the machine off the Brooklyn Bridge. Completely unsatisfactory response to this debacle on the part of Sears. DO NOT BUY FROM SEARS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY A NEW DISHWASHER ONCE A YEAR!!!

Sad to see an icon of yesterday fall so low in the retail sector once considered to big to fail. The one time have it all store ruined by MBA's and their corporate minded greed for a quick turnover dollar.

I was completely amazed to find a Sears store still open. I thought they had all closed. We were there January 6th and it is shocking to see. It is so sad to see a store like this. There are no aisles anymore. Most of the shelving is gone. Nothing divided section from section. It almost looks like a storage area or a staging area for one last big sale.Almost no one was in the store. Everything was clean, bright, but it was like walking into a store that had closed. Only a few salespeople were around. This is why I dropped a star. I took advantage of actually finding some Sears Craftsman tools that are just not in the Ace Hardware or Lowe's stores today. The lady working in the Tools area acted annoyed I bought something. She was on her phone and told the person, "I have to go, someone is actually here." She had been on her phone the entire time I was in the store.Even though I tried to say something about how amazed I was to find the store and glad to find the tools., she just didn't say anything. Granted, it must be depressing to be in a store where no one comes in and it looks like a ghost town, but still if someone is buying, you should be nice to them. Encourage them to come back and bring their friends to buy more.It is truly sad to see Sears, the retailer that invented shopping from home, crushed by that very technique.

I was shocked to see a Sears still open? Crazy that this place the original Amazon, a mail order business so big you could order a house, and Sears built the tallest building in the world just for office space? Now it's history crazy

When entering the store it's unclear if it is closing, or renovating, or re opening. We asked an employee. They said they haven't been told if the store is closing or not.

We've had an approved in-warranty claim with Sears for a Kenmore freezer that has gone unfulfilled since April 2023. Despite calling weekly (sometimes daily), we have yet to get someone on the phone that can actually order the product. We are consistently told "someone will make a decision in 48-72 hours" (spoiler alert: nothing is ever done and no one remembers talking to us the day/week before). We don't live anywhere near an open store and have spent several hours on the phone being transferred to different departments and individuals who claim to not be the right department to help us. Absolutely horrible customer service left to clean up the Sears Corporation mess. We hate to have to resort to legal action but we're left with no choice.

I love Sears but the store at the mall is going out of business. There was hardly anything left on the shelves.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. The customer service via the phone line and the website chat were terrible. When you call they tell you to use the chat on the website stating they cannot provide support service for appliance installation on the phone anymore. And the chat services cannot answer basic question or provide adequate support.

No wonder their closing. Service is atrocious. You think with employees not having to stock shelves or wait on long lines of people they would be more hospitable but their not. Cashier person upstairs was all put out over checking a price. Good luck finding a new job with that winning personality

The good thing .. they are having huge sales on tools, outdoor patio sets, tool storage cabinets, beds & all appliances. This is the go to place to save money. The place is like a ghost town .. virtually no customers there at all!!Military Veterans get an additional 5% discount .. that's better than a kick in the pants!! The selection of clothes & shoes is very sparse .. but if you need household goods, go to 1st floor & buy buy buy before it's gone!!

I think Sears liquidated this store, but forgot to tell the employees the store was closed. This store is a COMPLETE waste of time and space. It's mostly empty, with a couple racks of random stuff, strewn around the area.Do to a glitch in payroll though, the employees are still being paid, I think.

Why is it still open? Who says I think that I will look at Sears after shopping at Saks and Bloomingdale's? It's sad what Eddie Lampert did to finish off this company.

It's such a sad place to go into.... I understand it is closing, but probably should shut the doors here and make better use of the space....
