Professional stylist, Cheryl, did a wonderful job as usual on my hair. I have had good experiences with another stylist there. I’m making an appointment and go in, however, they have no foot traffic any longer, which is a shame because of their location, by the time you realize there is a salon you’ve done your shopping and you’re on your way home. I suspect that’s why this salon is so equipped for “real customers”. The only customers they have are there because of the girls who have been doing their hair for some time. If they lose those stylists, they might as well close their doors!
Such a shame the salon isn't equipped w/items clients sometimes use, like Kleenex, which I needed, and was offered the only thing they had, brown paper towel from the bathroom, because the “corporate entity” does not supply such items. Luckily, they dug into their purses and got me a regular Kleenex. It is not up to my stylist to supply clients with an item, that goes back to corporate. I know this is a chain, however, this is just one of many little incidentals, you get if you got elsewhere that you don’t get at this salon. You better have everything you might possibly need because there is not a single item in this salon that the franchise offered us to make life just a little bit comfortable. If I wasn’t so happy with , both stylists who’ve done my hair I would not go back. If they ever leave, I will follow them wherever they go!
Since they have had their prices raised some time ago the least they could do is supply some of the items that other salons offer. We don’t ask for much, but expecting the stylists to buy tissues, among other little items that sometimes you may leave the house without and suddenly find you need at a long appointment i.e. a freakin kleenex is rediculous! I am horrified by how ill equipped the salon is for clients!
I know of two friends just hoping their stylists leave & go to another salon so getting your hair done is more relaxing.
The stylists are wonderful and no one speaks out of turn, but it is so obvious that they are working under stressful conditions and don’t have the supplies they need and can’t offer us anything unless they happen to have it in their purse! This is obviously a sign that The corporate entity is cheap And only care about their bottom line.
The only reason I am giving this place a four star rating is because of Cheryl who did my hair! She did a five star job, however, the salon itself is going downhill quickly. People come and go and don’t last a few weeks. This is just a sign that the place is not being well run. Obviously only the girls with real commitment are staying there. An absolute horrible situation for them. They have my sympathy, as I’m sure they need their jobs, and I hope that what I can see with my own eyes as a client does not impact on any of them because they keep their lips zipped, but when you need something and they have to go out and buy it for you in Walmart is absolutely atrocious in my opinion.

Requested style: Miss Cheryl is an artist with braiding. She did a fantastic job cutting my hair & doing my requested braid style from a photo.
Stylist: Debbie knows so much about how to take care of your scalp which appears to be more important than your hair when using treatments, etc. I highly recommend her for anyone who has any hair issues, which are usually scalp issues.

Hairdressing was great. However, upset when it came to the payment. Angie, who booked me in, told me of the 20% discount offer currently available. Angie was not there today. Diana said the discount was for retail products only. I questioned this but she told me I could only have $2.00 off. Why didn’t she honor Angie’s offer!
Hair type: Long then cut to shoulder length. Needed cut and color.

I had booked a 12:00 appointment but since I was in the store I went over and saw that Angela was open for a haircut I sat down she listened exceptionally well to what I was asking to have her do and she accomplished it

I have been going to my hairdresser her name is Tracy at SmartStyle for more than 5 years and everybody in there is fantastic but she to me is the best! You should give Tracy a raise! LOL
Stylist: My hair stylist name is Tracy and I've been going to her for probably more than 5 years and she's been there for years and years she is the best hairdresser in the Ormond Beach Daytona area! She deserves a raise! LOL
