Worst postal office I’ve been to. Tried using self service and there was absolutely no materials for packaging, which was fine for me, since my package was taped, but unfortunate for anyone else that wants to use it. However, the drop off station was jammed and the one employee at the counter (after waiting in a line of 15 people) responded with “yeah it’s usually jammed” when I brought it to her attention. Horrible customer service and you would think that they would have more than one employee working at a busy downtown location in the middle of the day. Will do everything not to use this location again.

This place is horrible at answering the phone. And most importantly, they suck at their job.
Why have a phone number for people to call if you’re not going to answer it. Why aren’t I getting my packages, says my such number but I received paper mail the same day. With the same address. You people that work for usps are lazy. Get your job done.

3:29 Friday, June 7th & the Ocala Post Office in downtown Ocala has 1 person working (15 of us in line). Where is the management!!!! But this is typical 4 this location ; but the cost to mail items continues to rise. United States Postal Service administration Eryc L. Hutto & Louis DeJoy Ocala DESERVES better. We will be expecting improvement, sooner rather than later!!

Edit: I don’t know if they read my review or not BUT I honestly feel like they have improved since. No lost mail and NO DAMAGED mail. They’ve been dropping it off my front door so thank you.
Original post:
They lost my mail 3x! And I had a package saying don’t bend and guess what they did? Stuffed it in my mail box bending all the books! Ocala USPS are lazy and irresponsible. I never experienced this when I was in Miami! Never!

Marie was so helpful. I came in on the verge of tears after a long, stressful day and needing to figure out a way to get my birth certificate expedited. She was so kind and patient with me even though I came in 20 minutes before closed on a Friday. I cannot thank her enough for all of the help.

The people that work at this post office are very nice. But they do need more people working in the mornings. Actually all day long.

2 associates at 1:24 working the window. Fifteen people in line. No movement. The associates are pleasant but this is why I order online and have my items shipped. Another reason I order online because I get free shipping! My package weighed five to ten pounds which included two small mirrors and a bunch of packaging. Shipping for this package 12x24x6 would have cost over 100 dollars!!!!! Ridiculous!!!

If I could leave 0 stars I absolutely would. Customer service was horrible. Wanted to charge me 5 dollars for a piece of their tape and said if I used clear tape I would have to pay priority. Absolutely ridiculous. Would avoid this location at all costs.

This was a horrible experience! I ordered a package that was supposed to be delivered today the USPS place closes at 5:30pm every day and I never thought this would happen but I have been waiting in the hot sunny heat since 5 pm and still not here. I don't recommend it ever!!!

Postmen steal packages!!! Sometimes they open them and take things from inside, when you go to talk to the supervisors they come out responding very rudely and defending the thieves they have as employees…..do not send anything by this email…..they are garbage

Moved to this area a couple weeks ago. We went to change our address and the security guard made comments on why my minor child needed a change of address and why they would get mail (are you kidding me?) Brushed it off and went to find their birth certificate. We're still pretty packed up except the daily uses so I went in today with the schools copy of the birth certificate, my ID and the letter with my minor child's letter with our current address that we received from the USPS about change of address. There seems to never be a wait so that was a plus but the employee kept asking questions about the copy. I stayed this is the copy from the school that they accepted and all I was told the copy machine had issues and cause a black area to the far right. None of the information needed was disrupted, just"Name" area. She barked on how I don't need to talk to her like this and literally placed her hands down on the counter. I left irritated because what else do I need to change my kids address?! I went to the one on airport road and I will give the 1 hour wait ANY DAY over this location due to the customer service there was outstanding and the change of address was completed before I had time to explain my experience I received here. The location on airport road is only a 20 ish minute drive and I will continue the drive over this location. Yall barely have business and no customer service, if you don't like your job go elsewhere! Highly do NOT recommend this location, just save USPS benefits and close it.
