We stayed here for a weekend in October. The camping spot was great for us. The beach is right across the street. You also have access to the pool and bar at the El Governor resort right on the beach which was nice. We brought our boat and we were able to rent a slip from the city of Mexico Beach. You can rent slips by the day, week, or month. We also had the option to keep our boat and trailer at the campground in the over flow lot for a fee as well. The restrooms/showers are very nice and so is the laundry facility. We plan to definitely stay again.
Nearby activities: Great location and great facilities.

Nice RV park, in an excellent location, in the middle of Mexico Beach. The area is still rebuilding from Hurricane Michael. The park is across from the El Governor Resort. You can take advantage of the resort's pool, bar, and beach. You can bike or walk to food trucks and coffee shops, there are gift shops, convenience stores, etc. For supermarkets you'll need to go to Port St Joe (to the south) or Panama City to the north. We have really enjoyed our stay. For a RV Park, in a tourist location, the sites are fairly large with Full Hook Ups. Enjoy your stay!

Prior to this review I noticed there was a lot of low ratings and people clearly had their reasons. Let me start off by saying there has clearly been some major changes here. The bath house was very clean, the sights were clean, and all the sites have full hookups. It looks like they just put down new gravel for the road that goes around the park. it was a little dusty, but unless they plant grass and put in cement slabs I'm not sure how you would stop that with the Florida weather. The walk to the beach was very easy. You get full access to the gift shop, bar, and pool. if you forgot any small items or need a few drinks the gift shop has it. The last thing to say is staff was very friendly and helpful when booking. I would highly recommend this campground and will are already trying to plan for next year.

Beach is across the street but very easy access. The park is convenient, staff is very friendly and helpful. Stock up on the way in, there's not much for groceries here.

We love El Govenor RV Park! It's small but very convenient. Beach access is directly across the street with pool and bar access at the hotel. The bath house is nice and always very clean. The staff is fun, kind and helpful. Just be aware that there is no shade.

This RV park is a part of the beachfront hotel of the same name across the highway. You may use the hotel's beach and pool as part of your package here. The park seems rather new, it is quite clean and all amenities were in good working order. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The laundry and bathhouse are of cinder block construction and the staff informed us that those could be used as storm shelters if needed as the area was experiencing severe weather during our stay. They also phoned us to advise that the hotel was offering rooms at a very reasonable price due to the storm and we could take our pets. We did not take advantage of this but it appeared most in the park did.
On the minus side, the spaces were quite small and there is no dog park, only a few grassy spots to walk a dog. There is a small lagoon on the north side of the park and there are signs of considerable erosion on the back end of several spaces, leaving the usable site somewhat short in places. They did have someone inspecting the erosion while we were here.
The wind was horrific while we were here, This is not the park's fault of course but I am afraid that the wind may be a frequent problem, especially in the cooler months.
Port St. Joe is a neat little town about ten miles east with some good places to eat. Not much in Mexico Beach though.
Overall this is a nice park and I would recommend it if you're ok with the cons I mentioned.

Easy to find off 98. Stayed 1 night on the way back east. We got in early in the day, so we got to enjoy a day on the El Governor beach, just across the street.
Friendly staff.
