I was going to write this lengthy review about all that took place dealing with service at BMW Melbourne, but it truly isn’t worth my time. I am simply going to say this. Though my BMW X3 M series is 18 years old, it IS STILL a BMW.
I bought that year's model because it was the model year I liked best for a BMW X series. At any rate, from beginning to end I felt as though I was treated as a second rate customer at BMW Melbourne. I was told in a text that my car was too old to warrant a rental from them, hmmmm. However, they offered me a discount at a Thrifty down the street then acted like it was an inconvenience for them, really? The service tech there lacked tact, she was cold, insensitive and had awful bedside manners. It should not matter how old your bimmer is, ALL customers (know matter what kind of car you drive) should be treated with respect and courtesy. You don’t know who I am, and you don’t know that I may be in the market for a new BMW down the road. But what you do know now is that I certainly will NOT be treated in such a way again, nor will I ever purchase a BMW from Melbourne BMW.
In short, it was my starter that needed to be replaced at a cost of $1800 at BMW Melbourne. I had my bimmer towed out of there tout de suite and back to my local mechanic and had it replaced by them for ⅓ the cost. Moral to this story BMW owners. Support your local foreign car repair shops, not only will you save money, but you will be better treated.

Still driving our 2011 528i. Still love the car and the great service we always get at Melbourne BMW. Car was in for a rare recall. Service on the car was professional and personal attention by Chris Keefe was superb. Always feel appreciated and treated professionally at Melbourne BMW.

They walked away from their own deal and sold the car to someone else.
I visited the dealership to get a first look at a used car on their lot. I did a test drive with Jo Carter, which was great. I enjoyed working with Jo, she's very professional. However, things took a bad turn when her colleague was brought into the conversation. The deal was negotiated with him, I believe his name was Joe. My trade was undervalued by nearly 50%, which was not acceptable. He said "Hey, I had to give it a try, right?" So it appeared playing games was what he had in mind. OK, put your seatbelt on...so we negotiated. He was insulting and smug, treating me with disrespect. In making offers and counter offers for over an hour, he shared that he had to be made happy with the deal. I replied that "I'm your customer, I'm the one who needs to be happy" to which he reacted with surprise and contempt. I told him he needs training. He revealed that he preferred financing be with Space Coast Credit Union because he "gets a good kick back from them." I intended to provide my own financing. Finally, I agreed to the deal he presented, put down $1000 to secure the deal. They wanted to follow me home (60+ miles) to pick up my trade - creepy and made me feel uncomfortable. We agreed that I would come back the next business day to complete the deal while also providing them time to wash the car, remove the cigarette and urine odor, and put gas in the tank. Meanwhile, I got my financing documents and contacted the sales person to schedule pickup. She texted me back that they sold the car to someone else, essentially walking away from the deal. This is how they do business. Consumers, you have choices, I cannot recommend this dealership.

BMW Melbourne contacted me about a recall and got the job done when they said they would. I really appreciate receiving a loaner as well as the video from the mechanic as he explains what he's done. Everyone was professional and friendly. Thanks BMW Melbourne!

Laura was my service rep, she was great. My car was in for a recall part, they also did an overall inspection and I thought, “Oh no! Here goes, they’re going to find something that needs repair and charge thousands!” Well, they did just that. My car is 16 years old, I don’t want to drop money on it if I don’t absolutely need to. So, I declined the repairs, no problem. But what I gained was a great review of the state of my old girl, now I can plan to make the repairs in the future. I know what it needs, have the estimates and feel good about it being checked out. The video was a great help to understanding the inspection. THANK YOU! Great experience!
