Best place to rent a car in Fort Walton Beach. Very kind and friendly ppl that go out of there way to give you service. They also have a variety of vehicles to choose from depending on how many pp are traveling together. I highly recommend renting a car here.

Worst experience I've had renting a car. I booked my car 3 months ago and they had no car for me. The lady in the office was going to give us her personal car which was kind of her and the only positive thing about the experience. We ended up going to enterprise and got hooked up with a nice car. Don't bother booking here cause they don't actually reserve a car for you.

My last experience with hertz was a disaster! First, I paid for the car days before I arrived to pick it up without my knowledge. No problem their except they never informed me of an additional deposit, which I learned about when I arrived to pick up the vehicle. Frustrated because of the lack of information, I still went on to pay it. My major credit card decline for unknown reason which i had enough money to pay it. So, i used my debit card. The agent at the desk decided to not accept my bank card to pay the deposit because she was ready to close for the day which left me without a car although I already paid for the day. I called customer service to fix the issue but they refused and then told me that hotwire was responsible and that they could fix it. They offered to cancel my reservation and start a new one although I had already paid and was going to recharge me again. I told them that I would pay the deposit but I need to be reimbursed for the day that I missed but they refused. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they wouldn't but told me that the supervisor would call me back because they are open 24 hours eventhough I had paperwork from their office stating the complete opposite. So in short, I paid for a day for no reason. All they do is lie and find ways to cheat you! That agent at the front desk should be fired!

Let me start off by saying the rental went well and the staff was amazing, We rented a car because the truck went into the shop while we were on vacation with the family, the reason for the low stars was we had an issue with our personal vehicle not being finished at the auto shop by the day our rental ended. No big deal one would think go online and add an additional day right? However when I went online to extend the rental the additional day was going to be $358.00 for a car that I rented for 4 days already for a total of $300.68. So to even add an additional 5 hours (end of business day) to the rental was also $358.00 and there wasn't anyone local you could talk with as they don't handle out of pocket rentals at their desk they send you to the 800 number and that sends you to the Hertz website. Will be renting elsewhere anytime I need a vehicle. 0/10 would never recommend!

they had a tire pressure sensor on when i rented the car and i didn’t think it was a big deal until they charged me 170$ for a nail in the tire that was clearly there when i got it. they wasn’t helpful at all. do not recommend

Just returned my week-long great experience rental here and the experience, from start-to-finish, was fantastic. So great, in fact, I just booked another week-long stint for Dec. 16-22 and hoping for a repeat performance!

I had a nice experience going to Hertz for a rental through AAA. The branch manager, Cassie is kind and patient. She provided me a rental that fit my needs while my vehicle was in the shop. Through Hertz's website, I was able to extend my rental an additional two weeks. I am satisfied with their services!

Awesome team at this small location. We were stuck at Toyata waiting on service, and Hertz was able to send a car to pick us up to go to their office and rent a car overnight. They also took us back to pick up our car the next day. All were friendly and helpful and the drivers were careful.Would recommend the Mary Esther location
