I left Navy Federal Credit Union for this bank, due to it being closer to my home. HUGE mistake. I was also promised a bonus for signing up and using direct deposit. Suspicious activity in my Navy account lead me to look into 5/3. The main reason for opening an account. I stopped in and set up an account and spoke with a certain man who greeted me, (not a manager). I was promised a $300 sign up bonus for a direct deposit over $500. That's easy, right?WRONG! I did what was asked and nothing happened. I waited for a week, nothing. I returned to the branch and spoke with the same young man and he told me that I never mentioned the reasons for leaving Navy Federal and that he had NO RECOLLECTION of our encounter or the promised $300. Hmmm... REALLY? After a struggle and basically being called a liar, I also found out that they promised $350 on a national add. Hold up! I had to contact the upper management, not the local manager, who I did contact and was no help. Acter a decent struggle, I was granted $300. NOT $350. This interaction caused me to avoid stepping foot in the branch. To add to it, I discovered after using their debit card that there was nonway to freeze the card if it was lost or stolen. BIG NO NO!The convenience quickly turned into a massive inconvenience! I refuse to step foot in the building after they insinuated me being a liar! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE COVID! IDIOT MANAGER AND IDIOT FIRST MATE! I am in the process of changing banks and will definitely make sure anyone I know avoids it like the plague!

I had an appointment for 1pm and I arrived at 12:58pm and learnt that there is no one available to take care. Please show some respect for customer's time and honor appointment times.

“Very excited to be a new customer. My wife and I just moved to Florida and wanted to find a local bank to our area. We stop in the 5/3 branch in Lutz and sat with Shadow Williams. We mentioned we were interested in the $225 promotion to open a new account. His excitedly responded that they had a better in branch offer for $300 per person for opening a new checking. He was polite, professional and very transparent. He made my wife and I as new people to the area feel very welcomed. Shadow was able to actively listen to understand what our needs were. He also got us set up on their great app. We are excited to join the 5/3 family and hope to continue to save and prosper”
