I am so disgusted with the way i was just treated in the store on Socrum Loop in Lakeland... I spent a little over $200 today in the Winter Haven locations & all I wanted to do tonight was return a few items & purchase other things but the idiot who was working would NOT do my transaction because I bought the stuff at another location, as she put it but she did return my box of Nabisco saltines??? I've worked as a Store Manager in retail for quite some time & none of my employees would've handled that like she did... I won't be back there anytime soon...

Because this is a Dollar General Market location, it has so much more inventory than a standard Dollar General store. The staff does a great job asking if you need help. The management keeps the store clean also.

Really this store deserves 5* but I just find it crazy how messed up your woman's restroom is. ONLY the handicap stall works. BARELY...and on top of that most of your employees are female. Appalling. The beer coolers have been leaking for ages. All they do is throw whole rolls of paper towels in front because corporate won't actually fix it. This review is not meant for your employees, this review is of how incompetent your corporate is. Do better.

The store is well staffed with helpful employees. They have all kinds of items from a mini grocery to a many home items the only downside is that the common area outside the store is not kept up. The sidewalks and other areas suffer from chronic neglect. That may not be the stores responsibility though so I don't mark the review down for it

Every time I buy milk from this store, it sours within 1 to 2 days of having it. I strongly suggest you go to WInn Dixie. I never have this problem with their products.

Very spacious and plenty of basic necessity selection. Would recommend coming here early because in the evening it does look a little ransacked.

For first impressions, it was horrible.workers were very rude. Especially a girl named Rachael. Right when we walked in, it wasn’t a “hello” or “how are you?”. It was “Remember if you break something, you buy it”. It was because we had a kid here. Other people got greeted with silence. There was no mystery box’s that you can get when signing up. They said wait 3 weeks. Very uninteresting products were sold. Overall I would give a .5 star if I could… disappointing ?♂️

They have a lot of nice stuff but the employees don’t let you feel comfortable shopping. Not everyone steals. Let me shop comfortable. I might not go back or might. Just been their twice within a month, not wanting to go the second but said maybe it will be better and it didn’t.

This was a very different concept from their other stores, which was nice. There is their regular food and clothes aisles but they also added in the seasonal stuff such as decor and whatnot. It was actually a nice experience and get this, they had a self-checkout too! How convenient was that. It was like a grab and go kind of store and it was so much different than your other dollar general stores. I would definitely go back.

I recently saw a TikTok raving about PopShelf, so I googled and found one in Lakeland. It was inside the DG Market - another store I'd never been to. I was SO IMPRESSED! PopShelf has so many cute, trendy and inexpensive accessories for your home. It reminded me alot of Five Below. The DG Market was basically an entire, very inexpensive grocery store with many name brand items. I will definitely be back!
