Had Moving Kings for a household move from south PA to SW VA. Review comes in 2 parts. 1) People On Site: Austin was our guy on-site. I give him very positive reviews. Personable, hard-working, organized. Kept his crew where he needed them to be and doing what needed to be done. Got the truck in&out of a driveway I would never have attempted. Furniture was wrapped and loaded in a timely and very organized fashion. No inappropriate mishandling that I could see. Gave the whole crew a nice tip for job well done. Only negative is he was a bit too persistent about getting a review. I'm moving-- got a lot going on! 2) Organization: I have some mixed feelings about this part of the experience. Wife & I were very thorough & conscientious about delineating type and sizes of furniture we had, and boxes, and "miscellaneous". We were allocated 3/4 truck for our belongings. When the moving commenced, it took the whole truck. That's an extra cost, and I understand that. BUT it still left several large items that didn't fit on to the moving truck (large snow blower & half of a desk), And I am left holding the bag trying to figure out how to get this extra stuff moved south (at an additional cost of course). I will find a way--but part of why I hired a mover was to eliminate this part of the burden. Not thrilled about that. If you think about it, they estimated 3 "size-units" for our move, and we needed more than 4. I would expect some variation, but essentially their estimate was UNDER by between 35% and 40%.

Items missing from my move. Multiple items delivered that were not mine - I notified the delivery drivers and they seemed unconcerned.. did not even take one of the items that wasn’t mine. I’ve tried contacting moving kings multiple times and received no response. The phone number for the rep who handled my move has been disconnected. Absolutely zero response every time I call I get the voicemail box and no one has reached back out. DO NOT TRUST THESE MOVERS WITH YOUR VALUABLE BELONGINGS!! Will be filing a claim with better business bureau

WOW this was the worst experience I have ever had and I went through 4 CHEMOTHERAPY session. These guys are very dishonest. Do not use them they were holding my furniture hostage until I paid them an extra $1000.00 but negotiated it down to $500.00 but this is after they up charged me 350.00 on pick up. So my bill was $850.00 more than my quote. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Bad company bad experience. Eric was my sales rep so stay far far away.

We booked Moving Kings through the U Hall company and within 4 hours they had moved everything from Pembrook Pines to Coral Springs. These guys do everything!!! Quick, officiant and extremely profesional! Cesar and his partner are top notch movers with the strength for any job. Thank you for all your help!!!

Unbelievable that this company has an average 4.8 customer satisfaction rating! I had one of the worst experiences with this moving company - inconsistent payment policies - at pickup one pays after the job is complete but at delivery, one has to pay prior to unloading, unprofessional movers- didn't even bring tools for reassembly of furniture and lots of attitude, and all kinds of hidden rules not stated upfront in the sale of their service like they aren't required to clean up after their move - all the unwrapping of furniture, can't assemble any furniture that requires bolting to wall like a standup mirror, and the list goes on. Very overpriced for the poor value of service.

This is the absolute WORST company, I don't even know how they are in business. There is no communication what-so-ever. In order to get a hold of someone you have to call minimum 8 times and then you get someone saying “hello†as if you're calling their cell phone. When I asked about an ETA or what state the driver was in, someone told me Texas, another person told me Alabama, and a third person told me they haven't even left yet all in the same day. A lady told me that it was MY job to call the truck driver to see where he was. She said now that your truck has left we have nothing to do with communication about where your items are. Does that make any sense?? Then the person always says they will call you back no matter what it's regarding and they have NEVER have called back in the span of a month. Fast forward 3 weeks later after we get the delivery, and we are missing boxes and a box spring. No one can find it and no one seems to have any communication with anyone else in the company, oh and they will “call me back†when they find the items. FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY TRUST ME!

I'm sharing my concerns again about the sh** company!! They comment On all their bad reviews and said that they've never had customers with that name, it's Ally all they do is lie!! Stay away from Eric and Marissa, they will both lie to cover their own a** which they did to us over and over again. All three of us called the Better Business Bureau and filed three separate complaints!!

This was the worst experience we've ever had with a moving company!! Eric who's in sales will answer the phone and until he gets a sale from you and then he will certainly go missing off the face of the earth!!! All he gives you is lipservice he never actually tries to fix any of the problems that your faced with (which is many many many problems) (including stolen items, forgotten items, more money charged, terrible communication, rude owner, unprofessional business, lies and scams!!!)

The communication with this moving company has been THE WORST. Leading up to the move out date, I had no notice regarding time etc, I had to continuously call the company to ask questions. I was told the movers would arrive between 9am-12pm and that loading would take 2-3 hours max. The movers arrived at 230pm and then took roughly four hours to load my things. From my initial quote, I was told that the delivery of my things would take ten days maximum. Ten days was last Friday. It's now Wednesday of the following week and I still don't have my things; yesterday made two full weeks. My stuff was initially supposed to arrive today but the truck broke down and was rescheduled for tomorrow. I had to choose another storage unit due to the delay because my reservation expired, causing me to lose money. My driver is currently communicating that he cannot fit down my street, nor can he fit at my storage unit. If this is truly the case, my things will have to be shuttled into the city with a smaller truck - a quoted $500. I can't get in touch with the moving company nor can the driver. The main receptionist is currently out of the country and disregarding emails. Pretty much everything that could possibly go wrong with this move, has gone wrong. I find this company to have zero integrity and severely lacking in skills of efficient communication with an additional one hundred hidden fees. I would never recommend them. My boyfriend successfully used DeVries Moving Company out of Jupiter, Florida for the exact same move [West Palm to Boston]. His stuff arrived within 7 days, on the dot, with no problems or hassles or hidden fees.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!! RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS MOVING COMPANY! We booked over a month ago, we are 2 days away from moving and not a single answer to multiple phone calls. The moving coordinator did not answer. Customer service does not return phone calls. Managers don't answer. Facebook does not answer. We have emailed 5 times in the past 5 days and they haven't answered. This is a complete scam. Calling our bank to get our money back and going with College Hunks.
