Took the half-day Snorkeling tour. The crew (Brad and Hadriam) were excellent. The water was choppy that day and visibility was somewhat low but the crew made it a memorable experience regardless.

We were in Key Largo at the beginning of October as we are every year. We decided to try Pirates Cove Watersports for our traditional sunset cruise. We ordered online for our tickets. It was $60 per person. It is not a dinner cruise. You can bring your own snacks and water.There were 8 of us aboard along with Captain Bobby. I have to give kudos to Bobby for pointing out all the wildlife, birds, and history of the area we sailed thru. He has a great sense of humor besides being very knowledgeable. We really had a fun time. There was a storm coming our way, which made our little cruise that much more exciting!Wear your boat shoes. We didn't need a jacket as it is still warm this time of year. If you have any physical difficulties, you will find that it is easy to get in and out of this boat. Plus, Bobby is very strong and will help you out! We will definitely return during our next trip to Key Largo!

After we booked the tour we got contacted that the tour got cancelled cause of weather conditions. They happily advised us when would be a good time to go instead, which was two days later than initial.So about two weeks ago we went on the tour and it was great. Before we got to the first location we encountered some dolphins. Captain Brad, who is a great and funny captain, tried to play around with them. On the first location we saw the statue of Christ. The crew was very helpful and gave us a great experience.

Phenomenal. Everyone in their staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. We booked three trips with them - a snorkeling trip, a sunset cruise, and a jet ski eco tour and each one was wonderful.Captain Katie and First Mate Hadrian were so fun and lively, so knowledgeable, and just overall wonderful to be on board with. We went to two different reef areas and saw more ocean life than we have ever seen on a snorkeling trip before - sharks, rays, barracudas, parrot fish…the list was never ending. The music was wonderful and the laughs just kept on coming!Our sunset boat trip was equally as great. Our captain, I believe his name was Bill but I may be mistaken, was great! So knowledgeable and friendly. We only had 6 people on our tour so we took a very small boat and were able to get up close to have great views of the wildlife. We even saw dolphins and they played behind the boat in it's wake! It was truly amazing.And our jetski tour was epic! We had Cody as our guide and he was also perfect! We went through the mangroves and out in the ocean to see the sunken barge then back through the mangrove canals. We only booked it for an hour but were out there for almost two!The shop has a ton of great items for sale as souvenirs as well as items that you can purchase to take out with you in case you forgot something. The staff there is also super friendly and helpful.I highly recommend anyone looking for fun excursions to check them out! You will not be disappointed!

Great job, Captain Bobby! Yesterday’s boat tour was truly unique! I don't know if we were just lucky or if the sunset is always like this. But it was genuinely remarkable yesterday! The clouds changed colors minute by minute as the sun lowered on the horizon.

Snorkeling trip was something I will always remember for the spectacular reef views.. but the honest best part was the knowledge and atmosphere created by Captain Katie and First Mate Hadrian. They ran through all the critical safety info, taught a beginner snorkel course, and more all with great music and laughs. All we did was book the trip, board the boat, and have a blast. Can't go wrong

A fantastic, friendly and totally supportive crew with exceptional scuba tuition from Brandon. For me a refresher after an 18 year period since my last dive, for my two teenage kids it was their first ever scuba experience. Two of our party also snorkelled during our scuba dives.We all thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and would highly recommend Pirates Cove. We booked as soon as we got back for tomorrow to go again! Captain John navigated us to some exceptionally clear water, and Krissie as first mate was awesome in helping us on and off the boat with all the scuba gear. Thanks Pirates Cove team!

Super friendly and professional outfit. The folks at he front desk have tons of experience and are very helpful.Waivers are signed electronically using tablets that are available in a few locations within the store, tying up less time at the desk.We rented jetskis twice and went on a snorkel excursion. Chris and "H" were fantastic, blending safety, fun and education into the whole experience. They watched our group of 20 very closely, letting us venture far enough to see a ton of things, but within range so they could still keep an eye and swim a buoy out to anyone in trouble.Fins and snorkels are all provided. They do a great job of setting expectations, using hand signals, reviewing safety procedures, etc. Inflatable vests are worn and have a safety whistle. For those who don't want to dive, you can fully or partially inflate the vest to make floating even easier. They do everything they can to make it fun and accessible for newcomers without putting restrictions on more experienced swimmers.The snorkel trip is around 3 to 3.5hrs and goes by in the blink of an eye. I would've done it twice if I could do it again. You visit two separate reefs, so there is a break.Sunscreen and water are provided so you literally just show up in your suit and go.Would recommend, 10 out of 10, they are good people who care about providing a great experience for their clients.

Our initial excursion with another company was canceled the day before due to 4 foot waves but luckily I found this company. I’m very happy that I went with them because it was an enjoyable experience. The staff is super fun (Captain Brad, Liza, and H who is super funny). We were unable to see the coral reef at John Pennenkamp Coral Reef state park, once again, due to safety issues. However, they took us to Grecian Rocks instead. Initially, the water was really rough there, too, but they did everything they could to find us a nice place to swim and they did! They really cared about us having a nice experience! They brought us to a different part of the Grecian Rocks reef and even gave us swimming tips. I appreciate how patient they are with us. They provide reef safe sunscreen on the boat, an orientation session, and a place to put your stuff to keep it dry. I would definitely use this company again. -Ariel (the nickname I earned from the staff after I overcame my fears)

Great crew and experience! We took three different snorkel tours during our week in the Florida Keys, and Pirates Cove was the best by far. The knowledgeable and helpful crew was great and I thought they were the best at educating guests about protecting the reef and giving clear instructions on where to snorkel for safety and the best experience. Next time I'm in the Keys, I'm definitely booking with them again. I'm glad they use reef safe sunscreen and have decent equipment. It matters that they are blue star certified to protect the reef and animals. They worked really hard to make it a great trip and provide everything we needed. Take snacks with you since it's a long day out on the water, otherwise they have everything you need.

Very pleasant, helpful staff. Captains and crew on the boat were outstanding. Captain Chris, Captain Katie, Mate Christie, I forget the others but they were all great. Thank you very much for the good time and great service. To the boss lady, thank you for loaning me your dive slate. Will be back.

Took the sunset cruise with 2 other couples and Captain Henry the other night. It was really amazing and a trip I won't soon forget. You could tell Henry was a real local with extensive knowledge of the Key. I spotted a dolphin and within minutes of working his magic, Captain Henry had it swimming in our surf, it was awesome. The sunset was great, would highly recommend this trip.

I can't say enough about this sunset cruise! Absolutely amazing. Captain Henry was so nice, funny and informative. I highly suggest and recommend. My husband and I took the sunset cruise on our last night here in the keys and it was stunning!

Such a great crew from the instructor who gave great directions for first time snorkeler to the captain who took us to some amazing spots. They were so friendly and clean. I highly recommend them.

Amazing snorkel trip! I called and researched a bunch of places and I am so happy we went with this charter! The staff was friendly and hilarious. We didn’t get to the statue because of chop, so they took us to Grecian Rocks which was super cool! Among the fish we got to see a nurse shark and reef shark which was a highlight!
