Using a Public Adjuster is a no brainer if you have an insurance claim. The difficult part is finding the right Public Adjuster.I originally hired another adjuster with across the board five stars rating. Within a week I knew it was a mistake. I then called Cohen & Associates and what a difference. Guy Cohen came to my home to look at the damage. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I liked his confident but calm approach.If you’re reading this review likely your dealing with emotions of loss, grief and maybe a whole host of ups & downs. Having someone with the right demeanor makes a big difference during the claim process.There are a lot of unknowns when dealing with insurance companies. I learned my own company was not my friend and tried to low ball me on everything right down to living expenses. When you listen to the insurance companies assessment of damage and it’s a fraction of the actual damages That should be another tip to hire a public adjuster.The insurance company will drag out the settlement period which is ninety days so have patience. They may even take you through arbitration. Having someone who knows the ins and outs of how they work is critical to the final settlement. Guy has inside knowledge of how insurance companies view claims because he worked for one.I can tell you the process is not quick and it’s not without anguish and stress but when Guy presented me the check it far exceeded my expectations. I cannot say enough about how happy I am having used Cohen & Associates.

At this point we are so fed up with this business. We have a flood in the house 2 months ago. There adjuster cam out the following Monday took pictures. Then the insurances adjuster came out. It seemed that we had to call him to find what happening. It was always an excuse as to why he was not working on our case. We got fed up with him and called the home office. The person who answered stated that the insurance did not have the pictures the restore team took. Um, the adjuster verified he got them. We were told they sent in the proposal for repairing our house. But a week later we had to call them since they are not good at getting back to people. People who are paying them and work for us basically. We have had to call them since they never call us. Two weeks ago was the last time we have heard from them. Personally I am very concerned about ghis company. They never call you and when you call them it is always some excuse. But after nit calling them for 2 weeks show how unreliable the company is. When you put your trust in an adjuster and company to look out for you, against the big insurance company and they are just as bad if not worse. This company would get no stars and a huge flashing light saying "Go Elsewhere"

I had dealt with different institutions and different people over my life time. Some of them start well at the beginning and fell when the going gets tough. As I had worked with Rafael Rodriguez of Cohen & associates. I found that he and her office assistant Kethy get better and better for me and my friends. The insurance industry has gotten to a point where they want to charge as much as they can for their policies. However, when it comes time to pay for a claim; anything to avoid to pay the right amount. However, when you choose Rafael, he does what it takes to make sure you get the money that you deserve. I had an amazing experience with Guy and Dayana. I appreciate their time and attention to my claim. I will definitely refer them in the future. They made sure all damages were captured and accounted for and they really fought to make sure I was properly compensated for the damages. Thanks again for all your work!

I had a problem with water damage in my home because of my cast iron pipes and my insurance company was not giving me enough money to cover the damages. I did my research and found this public adjuster place. They contacted my insurance and took care of me very well! I got more money to cover the costs. They have great customer service and know what they are doing. If you need help these are the best public adjusters to go to. 10/10 recommend.

I had a flood and they got me so much more money than I thought I would get. All I had to do was send them my policy. Follow their instructions and they’ll give you more money than your supposed to get. I gave them the story of the leak and just waited for A few months for my money while they did all the work

This company save me from an Abusive Insurance Company that try to deny my claim, not only did Diana From Cohen manage to force them to pay me but her Great customer service and professionalism made this process so much easier on me and my family if it was not for Cohen and associates and Most of all Diana and Team and their Lawyers I would have had to pay out of my pocket to fix my bathroom. Cohen & Associates Public Adjusting helped us with our claims when our insurance company denied us saying that my total work were less than my deductible. The staff is knowledgeable, responsive, transparent and diligent. They are completely different from those law offices barely answer the phone and when they finally do, “oh the person handling your claim is in a meeting.” I would recommend everyone with a claim on their homeowner’s insurance to hire this office.

“I strongly caution against trusting recommendations for vendors referred or suggested by this company or their adjusters. We used a vendor they recommended, and when the vendor took our money and did not complete the work, we reached out to the adjuster. The adjuster did not offer to help in any way. We would have appreciated, at a minimum, that they would apologized for recommending a bad vendor, but we did not even get that courtesy. Also, after being defrauded by the vendor they recommended, we did some research and discovered there is a lot of negative reviews and lawsuits filed against the vendor they recommended. We feel that they should have done their research before recommending this company. While the adjuster helped us get paid from the insurance company, unfortunately, we lost most of this money due to the fraud of their recommended vendor. They need to refrain from making recommendations for vendors, or vet the vendors before they recommend them. It would have saved us a lot of time, money and aggravation. ”

I wouldn’t wish my experience with my drain-line on even my worst enemy. You think it couldn’t happen to you…until you wake up and there is water EVERYWHERE. We tried filing the claim and working with the insurance company on our own, but it went nowhere. We signed with Ralfie and it was a blessing sent by god. The insurance company wanted us to miss work to be able to be home (not very sympathetic towards our demanding schedule), but Ralfie made them work with us. Even though we live far away from the office, he showed up at 7 a.m. so that we wouldn’t have to miss work. That left me feeling like I, not just as a client but as a person, was being appreciated. With his help, they fixed the plumbing problem. I’ve already recommended to many of my friends.
