Edit #2: The lady who called me said if I talked to a certain person in the bank that I'd be able to deposit my check today without the hold. Well I went in to do that and lo and behold was NOT able to. I've never had such a freaking headache with a bank before in my life.
Edited review: The bank contacted me and the lady was very kind and sweet and she helped me a lot. It was just a miscommunication and everything is all good now. Thank you for reaching out to me!
While the people here are nice the bank itself is horrible. I opened up an account 2 weeks ago for the sole purpose of NOT having to drive 40 minutes to cash my check. But when I went to cash my legitimate payroll check they wouldn't do it and said if I deposited it then my money wouldn't be available for 30 DAYS. That's unacceptable. I used to cash my checks at the Cairo Georgia location and didn't have an account and all they needed was my thumbprint, ID and they charged me $3. I don't know why this one here is being so difficult about it. Wouldn't recommend.

I think they train the staff here to be as non customer oriented as possible! How this location has four stars is beyond my comprehension..I went to this location to open a few new accounts just for convenience. Upon entering, there was no one behind the counter, and three women were gathered up in one office talking. I stood in the lobby for several minutes before I was acknowledged, while the entire time, all three looked directly at me. After finally being acknowledged and telling the young lady what I was there for, I was asked to come into the same office all three women were originally in.Once I entered the office I was greetd by another young lady that seemed lacking attention to my request of wanting to open up new accounts, then with the roll of her eyes and the sigh she gave I knew I had made mistake. I said to her that she seemed disassociate with the job, this was the reason I have never had nor ever will have an account with Capitol City Bank and politely told her to have a good day and left.This location is absolutely horrible! You walk in, and it's like you entered a funeral home with a (dark, drab, and stuffy) atmosphere! The staff have no personality, all of them seem disgruntled and extremely unhappy, and getting someone to acknowledge you is nonexistent.If you're looking for a convenient bank with friendly, happy staff members who are willing to help their customers, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!

I just wanted a bank closer to home so I can have my checks direct deposited but y'all charge a monthly fee so I have to pay $9 a month just to get my money out no thanks ? I guess the saying is correct you give a guy a gun he can rob a bank but give a guy a bank he can rob everyone
