“I love Rural King down here in FL. Reminds me of Runnings up north. I would love for them to open one in Interlachen, FL where I live since the closest one is in Gainsville”

“A cautionary note to anyone beginning the path to home ownership in NW Gainesville: you're going to be coming here a lot. Like, A LOT a lot. This will come to replace Amazon Prime in a lot of ways. Ace Hardware not only has a robust rewards program where you can get great sale prices on in-store items, but this particular location has a very knowledgeable and helpful staff, many of whom will not only answer the question as to where a particular item is, but also will tell you what you need and why you need it.We've bought a lot of items here over the past year, mainly to aid in home ownership, such as leaf blowers, drills, rakes, and other tools. They were somehow even able to save us a generator during hurricane season when they were flying off the shelves.Edit 10/8/23: Also beware that if you don't know exactly what you're looking for, you will end up doing a lot of browsing and window shopping, which is time-consuming in and of itself!”

“Nice clean store with a decent stock base. Staff have always helpful. Tool quality has been fair but there seems to have been an escalation in price recently. I understand some of this but sometimes the price exceeds the actual value... that's when I shop elsewhere.”

“Yolanda at the 13th street location is very nice, not pushy when asking if you would like to sign up for a Home Depot credit card. She also asked if I was able to find everything that I was looking for. I appreciate the quality customer service at this location.”

“Amazing service and very well kept store! Brian helped me get the screws I needed that neither Lowe’s or Home Depot had. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for tools or hardware.”

“The plumbers source their supplies here. They had an extra large water heater pan in stock for immediate pick up, and they sell to the public! Service was instant on the phone and pick up was easy.”

“Outstanding! I bought a large piece of equipment and HD Supply White Cap delivered it very promptly and set it up. All the people at HD Supply White Cap could not have been more courteous and professional. And later when I thought I had a problem with the equipment they worked very hard to resolve the situation to my satisfaction. Their prices are good, too!”

“Mr. Don helped me tremendously when I went into Home Depot on Newberry Road last night in serious need of countertop help. He sat down with me and took his time and was so patient. He helped me with templates online to help me get a quote for my kitchen countertops. He was so pleasant, and so helpful, he really made the shopping experience so nice. He went above and beyond, and answered all my questions thoroughly. If you need help with any of your kitchen remodel needs, Mr. Don is definitely your go to guy! He is the best.”

“Johnstone Supply is a national chain selling HVAC parts to licensed HVAC technicians and companies. A big benefit to using a large chain as opposed to a mom-and-pop outfit is that you can get the products you need from one of the many locations so you can get it closer to the job location. So, if you have teams working multiple sites in various locations, a national company like Johnstone might be a good option, especially if you have an account with them. All in all, there was no issues here and I woukd recommend this company.”

“Lowe's does a great job they just need to get some flatbed trucks so when you have a wood order you can get it to the house. they are missing out on millions of dollars of sales in lumber because they don't have flatbed trucks like home Depot and we are forced to use home Depot”

“We visited because we needed plumbing supplies to repair our washing machine pipes and valves. Hubs went looking for the supplies while I aimlessly browsed the store. We recently moved into our new home and need A LOT of things. There is no carpeting and my dog loves to do carpet scratchies so I found a shaggy rug for her! We then went browsing in the appliance section. We have been searching for months now for basically anything you need. The refrigerator that came with the house might be older than me so that was a necessity. We decided on a whim to purchase one during this visit. Since I have maxed out most of my cards from this move, I used a $250 Lowes gift card, and split the payment with two credit cards. Carlos was very personable and helpful with our checkout.Carlos scheduled out delivery and made sure we had all the parts we needed. He also rang us up for other items we were purchasing. It was close to closing time so we did not spend too much time browsing. We stopped on our way out to look at the garden section but didn't get to browse too long. We left quickly after and the staff acknowledged us when we were walking out. The refrigerator was delivered on the day it was scheduled. There was no damage. The two delivery men were super quick and very good at getting the fridge in the door. We were actually in awe of how amazing they were.”

“Good big box store that seems to have a lot of stuff. I am not really into lots of stuff, however, there are some things that it seems a store like Home Depot might have. I like looking at the various tools and trying to imagine what they might be used for, and then there are the various shelf organizers, closet organizers, and lots of other things. I have been in here before buying some wood kinds of things, and although they were really expensive, it was nice to get stuff that is already sanded and ready to use. The people that we talked to in the store were friendly and helpful. Prices seem to be competitive with other big box stores in the area. All in all, it is a pretty fun place to come, and not a pain at all to get just the things needed for my next project.”

“You want recycled glass countertops and super low flow terlits? Bamboo cabinets? Renewable everything? This is the place for you! When renovating my place a couple of blocks away, I popped in on this shop, hoping to find some very cool stuff to make my abode a little hipper. This they have in spades. Cork flooring, low emissions, reusable, recyclable, etc - this is THE place in the Ville to come and get it. That said, its also pricier than my budget allowed (mostly because I needed to renovate within the home values in my 'hood - not good to go above the neighborhood - gotta be careful there) Turns out IKEA would get my job done for way less, and still be slick and stylish. But, lets face it - the quality of product is miles apart. I did really like the tile selections, and they were very helpful with pricing and options. I still need to do the kitchen backsplash and they have a couple of products that are still in the running. Gotta make that decision soon. They also carry a small selection of green-earth type gift items, which makes it more than just home renovation supplies. Ownership includes Liberty Phoenix of the acting clan - a nice local angle on a great business. A quick look at their website reveals there is a branch in Atlanta, not sure which came first, but they seem to be doing well. I'm guessing a big designer/professional clientele.”
