The staff here at Banfield and Dr. Elise Santos are all truly the best. Great customer service and care for our mini goldendoodle puppy Princess Leia. I recommend Banfield to everyone I know!! Thank you Banfield Fort Lauderdale for always being amazing.

This place is the worst Dr. Santos is the most uncaring doctor I have spoke and seen in my life since I have been going there. They will call you for money owed but returning your call for a question needs to be answered or anything needed to reinsure myself and my pet!!!! As I don’t take my baby there anymore find yourself a one on one Vet to take care of your Furrrrr Baby…..

You can't even get a decent response for an emergency for a second. But you can drop them off. That's just totally inconsiderate. My dog really needs to be seen as soon as possible and leaving a dog. There aren't putting undue stress on him just makes the matter worse. My dog could be dying. I wish somebody would call me.

On December 23rd, at 1:45 PM, I contacted Benefield Hospital seeking prompt assistance with my dog's nail trimming. Regrettably, my interaction with shanitza was characterized by a low and nasty attitude. As I inquired about availability, she dismissed the request, deeming it too challenging, while, shockingly, another employee beside her engaged in inappropriate laughter regarding the situation. This unprofessional behavior during a simple inquiry about a routine procedure raises concerns about the overall service culture at Benefield Hospital. Pet owners, like myself, should be able to trust the professionalism and empathy of the staff, especially in situations where quick and compassionate care is needed. Moreover, this experience makes me ponder how the hospital would handle more critical or emergency situations. If a routine nail trimming can be met with such indifference, it leaves me questioning the reliability and dedication of the staff in more urgent scenarios.I share this review to shed light on the disheartening experience I encountered and to caution potential clients about the level of service they might receive. One star reflects my disappointment in the unprofessionalism, lack of empathy, and concerning attitude displayed during my interaction on December 23rd.Carlos ocampo

Worst experience with vet ever. Went with 2 cats for vaccinations and they gave them the wrong vaccines. Still charged me full price.

I've now been living in Fort Lauderdale for over two years and I've been taking my two pugs Lightning and Linus to the Banfield pet Hospital located in Fort Lauderdale at the 1700 North Federal Highway location. Both of my pugs have been patients there and participants in Banfield's wellness programs which can save an owner a pretty penny over the years. Both Lightning and Linus, where originally patients at the Banfield pet Hospital located in Salem Massachusetts, which was the closest location to where I lived at the time and because of the great treatment that both of my pugs received at that location I decided to continue taking Lighting and Linus to Banfield pet Hospital as soon as I move to Wilton Manors, back in October 2021.Right from the start, I was impressed with the service team from the technicians who greeted me at the front desk when I dropped off Lighthing and Linus to be seen by one of their vets and this feeling carried over as soon as I met the rest of the team at the Fort Lauderdale Banfield pet hospital locationOver the last two years, I've been able to observe and form a strong opinion as to the care that both of my pugs Lightning and Linus received at the Fort Lauderdale location and this opinion is one of nothing but five stars no question top rate. And in particular, when Linus had to have surgery to remove a growth from one of his eyelids and later on, also have surgery to remove a large fatty growth from Linus' front underbelly I was absolutely impressed by the final result of these two surgical proceduresIn particular, I would like to give thanks and praise to certain individuals who I have come to know over the last two years while Lightning and Linus have been patients being cared for at the Fort Lauderdale Banfield pet hospital location at 1700 North Federal Highway and my apologies for anyone who I may have excluded from this list:Mary, Tee, Melissa, Jamila, Deja, Giacomo Kassis, and the veterinarians J. Griciute, Elise Santos and special thanks to Anfisa KazachokSincerelyMark Florentino and Keith Florentino and Lightning and LinusWilton Manors, FLDecember 9th 2023

I have a welness plan. They booked me an appointment for a checkup that was a wait appointment. When I got there they told me had had to leave them all day until 2pm. No regard for how they set up appointments andZero regards for my time. I think it’s time to cancel my 70 bucks a month to get tossed around plan.

I have been to Banfield Pet Hospitals all over Florida, Colorado and several states in between and have NEVER experienced such an awful staff from front to back. The ineptitude of the front desk staff when we made our initial appointment (over the phone), showed up for and was told we didn’t have an appointment, they had no record of us, kept saying it must be a different location until the person I spoke to came out and confirmed that we were at the correct location. By then I was already upset. My dog had a huge hematoma in her ear and we were told over the phone when making the appointment that she could have surgery that day. Another strike. We needed to schedule for that weekend. They do the surgery to drain and stitch so it doesn’t come back. Fast forward to them ignoring our requests for compression to prevent flapping after they insisted on removing her bandages two days post-surgery. We had blood all over our apt and our vehicle while we rushed her there two days later for them to allow us to stand there while she was bleeding on their floors, we had to request something to clean it up, they took her back and kept her KENNELED for 8 hours and returned her back to us saying she was fine. Bloody. Couldn’t even bother to clean her face, neck, ear, head or wound. Just slapped a too tight, clipped wrong, cone on her and sent us on our way. A day later, her ear was so swollen, it looked just as it did before her surgery, only now with stitches imbedded. After a few more tries to get them to fix it, give us medications to help her (which they messed up also), I finally took her to another location where they told me the surgery was not done correctly, they drained her ear, removed her stitches, gave us all of the correct medication and took great care of our dog. I will absolutely be contacting corporate and demanding a refund for every cent that I spent at this “hospital”. They should not be allowed to care for pets.

Here I am again. The harressment is terrible.Banfield Hospital is still giving us a rough time. They keep trying to contact me, saying we owe them money. Not acknowledging her death. They say someone local will contact me, but no one ever does. When she was struggling, we brought her there. Precious time was wasted as they brought her out to tell us they didn't have an x-ray machine to check her lungs. What hospital doesn't have an x-ray machine? It shouldn't be called a hospital if you don't have the machines to examine a pet on the verge of death. All you want is money, for what? Services not rendered? Are you kidding? I'm sick of the harressment. Why don't you stop???!!! That becomes bullying, stocking us. Yet we went into the local hospital, and they gave us a song and dance, "ohh it's not us. We can't contact Corporate. It's Corporate calling you. I called Corporate, the first time 1 hour, and 20 minutes, nobody picked up. 2nd time, 45 minutes waiting, somebody picked up, then hung up on me. What kind of organization is this? DO NOT GO , DO NOT !! They don't try to work with you. It's terrible while we grieve over a precious family member passing away. Is this a way to take advantage of grieving parents. Rest in Peace, Chanel. Even though Banfield won't let you rest in peace.

I am not sure why i went back here, I guess location. I wont go back though. I arrived 15 minutes early for a 1030 appt. I was told to have a seat and they would check me in in a minute. At 1025, i asked the blonde girl drinking her latte (and chatting on the phone) if she could check me in as i had a 1030. She said i had to wait for someone else to check me in. At 1035 I went back up and a different girl grudgingly checked me in. And then i was seated again. No other people around. At 1045 someone else (not an emergency) shows up and the nurse assists him within 5 minutes. Finally at 1050 I asked the girl to let therm know this was a simple blood draw and i would need to leave for a meeting soon. Her response was "i told him already". I asked if he could be told again as i had not anticipated an hour for a simple blood draw for heartworm. She said 'i told him'I sat down and literally no one really appeared interested in the fact that i was not being helped and was still in the waiting area. I left at 1052.

My dog Scooby loves going to his vet visits, and we are always greeted with the best smile and warm welcome. The employees really love their job, and it's always a blast to know our baby is always in great hands.

Ok they sold me a health contract but it was half the price of the one at VCA pet hospital. To buy services a la carte here is prohibitive. As at most vets today. The vet was called Dr. Joy and he was well...really nice. Took great care of my Chi. So...he's getting his teeth cleaned next week on the plan. Usually a massive expense. Now $49 a month with free office visits all I want and shots and so forth. My dog will be taken care of. I'm ok with that.Update: Dr Joy left the location and so did I after some disappointing yet costly experiences with sundry green vets. Switched to Cats Exclusive in Margate and pricey but high quality care at Stevens Animal Hospital in Pompano.
