Great store location, clean and selection very good. However, staff at service center and management personnel were rude. Requested that I return a very inexpensive item that was unused and resellable but they refused the return saying the receipt was over 6 months old even though they still sold the item. Nothing on the receipt showed this caveat, I was told this was on their website. Customer service called management to okay the return but this individual used very rude language in refusal to okay it. Customer service person was unapologetic, very disappointing experience.

We had an exterior paint shade from the discontinued brand Olympic mixed at the FWB store and even though the shade came up on their computer it ended up far lighter than expected. We went to the Destin FL paint department and both Brett and Yanique explained to us that the Valspar base wouldn’t result in the Olympic shade we were wanting. Sure wish the girls in FWB had told us this info! We chose another color chip from the Destin paint department and after it was mixed the color is perfect. Thank you Brett and Yanique, you two are the best!

I was in the Destin Lowe’s three times this past week purchasing appliances. My first visit To y in appliances greeted me immediately and offered his help. Tony was amazing. I knew what I wanted and Tony immediately made his recommendations and proceeded to check me out. He literally initiated and accommodated all my needs. I had to go back two days later to get another appliance. I asked for Tony but he was off that day. I said I was willing to work with any one that day. The person I spoke with totally disappeared immediately. I thought maybe they were going to get someone else to help me. 30 minutes later I just left the store. No sales person in appliances was any where to be found. I returned the next day hoping Tony would be there but he wasn’t. Two employees were talking to one another and when they saw me approaching the desk they literally turned and left. Not to be seen again. I ended up waiting 10 minutes and because I didn’t want a repeat of the day before I went to the customer service desk and order my appliance with Reacha who was just as accommodating as Tony. It’s a definite hit or miss at this Lowes.

Update: Finally got in touch with someone at corporate who promised someone would call in 24 hours. When that didn't happen, we called corporate back and we told we were "escalated". Finally got a call 30 hours later who left a message to call him back - funniest part is this is the same guy we started with 14 days ago who told us he was no help because he was just head of deliveries and we had to talk to the manager - that's the manager that hasn't called in 14 days despite daily messages. Now I have been on hold for 30+ minutes trying to get Bobby to answer the phone. Can someone please help?!We own a condo in Miramar but live in Ohio and have purchased many things from Destin Lowe's over the years (big and small) as we have completely remodeled the unit in the past few years. This is why we purchased and agreed to allow them to deliver a Whirlpool washer and dryer when we could not be there so we would have them when we returned a few weeks later. We worked with a guy in the appliance department who assured us the delivery would be smooth and we would not have to worry about anything because we could not be there for delivery. After this experience, we will not do this again nor will we patronize the Destin store anymore. We just returned a few weeks ago and discovered there were no "feet" on the dryer so the washer and dryer were about 2" difference in height. We bought 2 "feet" and had to install those ourselves which should have been done upon delivery. Then, when I finally used the washer, we discovered something is wrong with the drum. It moves all around and far away from the sides so that every time it spins, it moves around, has a loud banging noise and sounds like it is off balance. There were other issues with the delivery but I won't go into those here. I called Lowe's right away when we discovered something was wrong on 10/27 only to be told by Bobby in appliances I was a few days out of the 30 day window that they could help us but the manager should be able to help us. I was given the name of Shawn Leek as the manager to call. I have been calling almost EVERY DAY since almost every day since we discovered the problem and left on (10/28). Melissa, Val and Adam are just some of the people I left messages with when I called (they were friendly) and assured me I would hear from Shawn as he was there each day I was calling (except Sunday) when I left these messages. And NO CALL to date. As a Pro card holder, we have a lot of experience with Lowes for more than 20 years and this is completely unacceptable to not get a return phone call. I am beyond disappointed with this entire situation and at this point, unless something changes, will NOT be doing any further business with Lowe's when we are at our place in FL.

This is a moderately staffed place. I try to avoid the box stores as much as I can because you can never get any help. if you need help. I would highly recommend going somewhere else because there's like 5 employees in the entire store.

Don’t let them talk you into a Lowe’s preload card… it is nearly impossible to use and is so complicated and inconvenient no sane person would be able to tolerate the torture of it…. Also the fact that they have no tap pay option at their registers is always an inconvenience to me as I’ve come to rely on this convenience everywhere else in the universe. Due to the Lowe’s preload card never working and the registers seriously lacking modern technology I went online while in the store and just paid for the 3 items I had been trying unsuccessfully to purchase for an hour as a curbside pick up order. Then walked to the “customer service” desk to tell them.. hey good news… the online order that just came in is already in my hand and you guys can just mark it delivered to customer.. I’ll be on my way and you don’t have to go gather the items for me. It took 3 people staring panicked at the computer system to tell me that it would be a three hour wait for the items I was already holding that I had just paid for online.. because there were other orders ahead of me!!!!i has been trying to purchase 3 items for an hour and a half and when I finally figured out how to get that done they told me I’d have to wait 3 hours to leave the store with the things I was already holding. There are no words to accurately depict how absurd this whole situation is and it is a sad reflection of what corporate America has done to customer service and also a very sad commentary about this generation of nose pierced. Purple haired emo nitwits in management positions. They have no problem solving skills.. nor social skills.. nor value for the customers patronizing their establishment, nor respect. This was a last straw for me with Lowe’s.. the proverbial straw that broke the camels back.. I’ve put up with this way too many times and I’m here probably 3/4 times a week because of the field I work in.. I’m going back to Home Depot.. Lowe’s you need to put some professional looking and acting people on your management team..

Edit was able to speak to store manager who resolved our issue and was very professional. Put 4 ceiling fans in cart that were clearly $99. Got to register and they scanned as $129. Had to interrupt 2 employees conversation that were working self check out and he said if that is what it is ringing up as then that has nothing to do with this right here. It has to do with that out there and he motioned towards the parking lot..Im not sure he even knows what he is talking about. He insinuated that we would have to pay for them then try to get money back through customer service. We left the cart and all the stuff in it sitting there. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE at the (self)checkout
