You have to pay to use the parking garage, kind of a crazy concept to me giving how much they charge for the rooms. I requested a high room with a view they did not accommodate, paid for it as well! Shower had no hot water, room temperature at best. An yes I did give it plenty of time to heat up. The A/c said 65 felt like 80 in our room. And we didn't find out the pool was out of service until I was checked in. Room was not cleaned properly as well. This hyatt is an over priced holiday inn, worse actually. I will never book at a Hyatt ever again.

My husband and I just spent 5 weeks at this hotel because we were down for the birth of our first grandson. It was a perfect location for us to visit our new grandson in the hospital when born and at home. The location is great too for access to all restaurants , local activities and the beach. It’s also convenient for remote working with many tables in the lobby or a desk in our room for working. We’ve been here at the hotel before. We knew beforehand that toward the end of our stay that redecorating of the entire hotel was going to begin. Even though there were a few bumps in the road to iron out about some construction noise , the front desk staff were very accommodating and made it all bearable. In fact , one of the stand outs for staying at the hotel this time was that all the current staff were so lovely - from room service workers , breakfast workers , maintenance staff and front office staff and managers at all times of the day were extraordinarily friendly , helpful and just really nice people. I wish I knew all their names because all were so terrific - a special shout out to Keon E and Keon T , Vikki , and there also was an other young man always with a tie and jacket and a young lady too - my husband and I own a busiess and I love to hear when staff represent us with such great customer service and make the difference in a customer’s experience . I want to let Hyatt corporate know they have a treasure in the staff assigned throughout their hotel who gave excellent customer service that remained consistent for our entire 5 week stay . Thank you to all for adding to our beautiful experience having our first grandchild ! Hope to see you soon this year hopefully after all the new renovations are complete !Cathy

Just left this DISGUSTING HOTEL....I wish i could give it all 0"s..GM Taylor told us renovations would not be heard by pool or rooms...WRONG!!!!The banging, hammering,LOUD noise was unbearable.
The rooms were the worse part..The smell of mold, sewage, rotten eggs..or SOMETHING like a dead animal ..The housekeepers could not come in the room as they were nauseated by the smell..A lot of guests had to change rooms or check out.
The front desk Supervisor Janet was unprofessional, rude, and not customer service oriented at all!!Not helpful to say the least with a attitude and seemed like she did not want to be here.
The breakfast bar had no replenishments and served the same stale bagels, cereal and toast everyday...If you want to relax this is not the hotel you want to stay at....SHAME ON THIS PLACE AND THE GM TO LIE TO US AND TELL US WE WOULD NOT BE AFFECTED BY ALL THE CONSTRUCTION GOING ON.This place should close til after renovations. My son got so sick from all the dust and mold.We reached out tot the GM Taylor but no response as i see she promised a lot to other guests....what a shock!

Terrible experience. Woke up to construction noise directly above my room and housekeeping noise next door every morning.

My wife and I stayed at this location May 2024. Upon check in we were told our room was not available but we would receive an "upgrade". We were also told no compensation would be given until we checked out. We quickly realized our "upgrade" was a handicap accessible room. We were upset because if someone with a disability actually needed this room it would be unavailable. Upon check out we were told by the manager Taylor that no compensation will be given to us because the room we were given during our stay ( 2 queen bed accessible) was more expensive than what we booked (standard king). We were also told no compensation will be given because we booked through a 3rd party (Expedia) and that we would need to reach out to them. When we reached out to Expedia they told us it is up to the hotel itself to compensate for the stay. Overall this was a terrible stay. We also felt VERY UNSAFE in the elevators. Their Certificate of Operations to run the elevators expired in August of 2023!

The.hotel.is well located with a very practical parking. We didn't like the service hours for the breakfast on weekend.

This is a horrible hotel. Where do I start? First, the rooms are dated, and there is an old smell, and we got a view to the pool on the 2nd floor, where everyone could see what we were doing unless we covered the blinds, which made it more dark even with lights on. Next, breakfast is very limited. The French toast is dried out, and their bread had a blue stain on it, which means there might be mold (picture attached,) and since I’m a picky eater, I didn’t eat anything. When we were heading back to our room, someone was smoking weed, which shows why this is a cheap hotel. However, location was great, and there’s a lot of dining options around, but please reconsider staying in this hotel, and pay extra for an actual good hotel. This one is definitely not worth the money.

Great location. They charge ridiculous amount for bottle water even for a Hyatt member. Blah!

First, great locale! Really in the middle of the town, and walking distance to many things. As other reviews have mentioned, the property is in need of a refresh and update. First room, bathroom didn't work. Second room I was swapped out with, the room smelled musty and just felt worn.
The front desk folks were very nice, and accommodating. One of them was new, and seemed very nice. However, they are obviously led incorrectly. If you have Globalist status with Hyatt, this Hotel does not recognize any of those perks and privileges. Asked for an upgrade to a suite if available at check-in (late into the PM) and was told it was a surcharge. Didn't argue the fact as I just wanted to get settled, but definitely some inconsistencies with processes. Again this isn't the Park or a Grand, this is a Hyatt Place. Was shocked they were trying to nickel and dime the highest level of loyalty the chain offers.
Would not stay here anytime as it just isn't worth the price and again if you have status, it is a bit insulting.

The Hyatts location could not be better for Atlantic Ave. They have good breakfasts, nice rooms and fair prices. They forgot to tell me that parking is $24 extra.
The Hyatt will be renovated soon,
Hopefully section by section.

The stay itself was ok, the staff was very nice, but the hotel def. needs to be re done completely. It’s honestly really ”uncool”, oldschool and rocked down. The rooms, the lobby and everything else. Especially the price tag, extremely hefty for what you get.

I always expect the best from Hyatt. This is actually the second time staying in this hotel. They always deliver. I hope to stay again after their renovation this summer. I give them a 99 out of 100. The only mistake was that someone did not refill the shower gel, so I had to use the shampoo.Noteworthy details: Great complimentary breakfast.

We really like this hotel. It needs a little refurbishing but there are plans for that to begin soon. The location is fabulous and I would defiantly stay here again the next time I am in the area!
